Squeegee off excess water and let the timber dry for at least 1 hour (longer in cool conditions). Fill any holes or imperfections with a suitable timber putty after the first coat. Cooler conditions slow drying. Check coated timber about every 12 months, as water repellency and colour will change with weathering.
