Repairs are easy, and tools wash up with water. It dries clear and hard, so it is meant for solid structures without joins, internal corners or expected movement. Where there are existing holes or cracks, or movement is expected, Crommelin recommends its Pond Sealer Colours membrane instead.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhere to use it\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIndoors: ornamental water features, indoor fountains and other solid, porous water-holding features that won't flex.\u003cbr\u003eOutdoors: new or renovated above-ground fish ponds, bird baths, and ornamental water features built from concrete, render, brick or block.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSuitable surfaces include concrete, cement render, brickwork, concrete blocks and other cementitious substrates. It is not suitable for non-porous surfaces.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHow to use it\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSurfaces must be clean, sound and completely dry, and free of dust, grease, curing compounds, release agents, loose particles, efflorescence and laitance. Repair any loose or crumbly areas first with a suitable repair mortar. To check porosity, wet a small area. If it darkens, the surface is porous and can be sealed. If it doesn't, it is too dense to seal. Stir the sealer well before use and apply with a brush or roller.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eApply when surface and air temperatures are between 10 and 35°C and humidity stays at or below 85%.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eFirst coat: mix equal parts sealer and water, then apply a thin, even coat. Don't apply in extreme heat, cold or humidity. Coverage depends on how porous the surface is.
