DETA lists it as UL listed, RoHS approved and lead free, with good resistance to cold and UV exposure and reliable weatherability. The tape is not flame retardant, so choose a flame retardant grade if your job calls for one.

Where to use it
Indoors: insulating and tidying wire joins, bundling and protecting cables, and colour-coding conductors in switchboards, appliances and general wiring work.
Outdoors: protecting and marking connections exposed to the weather, thanks to its moisture sealing and UV and cold resistance. The yellow / green colouring is a handy match for earth conductor identification.

Suitable for wrapping over cable insulation, wire joins and conductors in low-voltage and 600V rated applications.

How to use it
Make sure the cable or joint is clean, dry and free of oil, grease and dust. Start wrapping slightly beyond the area you want to cover, stretch the tape lightly as you go and overlap each turn so there are no gaps. Finish by pressing the end down firmly so it sits flat. Electrical work should always be carried out by a licensed electrician where required by law.

Important notes
Rated for electrical insulation up to 600V. Not flame retardant. Not intended as a replacement for proper connectors, heat shrink or other approved insulation where those are required by the installation. Always switch off and isolate power before working on any wiring.

Specifications

Brand

DETA

Product

Insulation PVC Tape

Pack

1 roll

Size

18mm wide x 20m long

Thickness

0.18mm

Colour

Yellow / green

Material

PVC

Maximum voltage

600V

Flame retardant

No

Moisture sealing

Yes

Approvals

UL listed, RoHS approved, lead free

Use

Indoor and outdoor

Safety
Always isolate and switch off power before wrapping any electrical connection, and use the tape only within its rated voltage.
