Bring chlorine levels to between 1 and 3 ppm.\u003cbr\u003e5. Add the algaecide while the filter is running.\u003cbr\u003e6. Vacuum the pool 24 hours after adding the algaecide.\u003cbr\u003eFor a heavy algae problem, the manufacturer's recommended dose is 900ml per 10,000 litres of pool water.
