If you need a thicker gasket, assemble the parts but leave the bolts loose for 24 hours.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAllow 90 minutes before filling with liquid. The sealant fully cures in about 24 hours.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eClean up uncured sealant with mineral turpentine. Cured sealant has to be cut and scraped away.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eReplace the cap after use. If you need to separate the flanges later, pry them apart and clear off the old sealant before reassembling.
