It will not re-emulsify nor dissolve if subject to water after drying like PVA’s. Prep MultiUse Adhesiveis a thicker emulsion than PVA’s so it doesn’t drip on vertical surfaces. It has greater bond strength on most surfaces. Prep MultiUse Adhesivemay also be diluted, for use as a ‘dust sealer or primer/sealer’ for concrete and masonry surfaces. Also, after the container has been opened, ensure it is closed tightly after each use. What is the shelf life of weldbond? Weldbond typically has a shelf life of 5 years. If the product is starting to solidify, it can be restored by adding just a little bit of water. We advise the consumer to give the container a good shake prior to every use. Is weldbond non-toxic? Weldbond has been tested to be non-toxic. Weldbond conforms to astm d4236. Is weldbond tested on animals or created with any animal by-products? SikaBond® - PVA is an ideal product for bonding a wide range of timber components including tongue and groove solid timber and laminated flooring substrates giving tough, flexible permanent bonding. Uses SikaBond® -PVA can be used on most substrates due to its excellent adhesion. This material will keep for at least twelve (12) months. Instructions for Use Surface Preparation Surfaces to be bonded should be clean, dry and free from dust and oil. Edges should be squarely machined to ensure maximum contact. Application SikaBond® -PVA is to be applied by squeeze bottle, brush or roller. Bonds should be assembled within a few minutes and then tightly clamped or pressed until the adhesive has set. Wipe off adhesive squeeze out immediately after assembly with a dry or lightly damp cloth. Assemblies are best left overnight before moving or transportation. Maximum bond strength is achieved within 48 hours. Allow floors 24 hours for the adhesive to cure prior to using. SikaBond® -PVA should be used as supplied.
