Liquid Nails Fast is a water-based high strength (*) construction adhesive with fast grab and low odour. It has a thick, non-runny consistency and is ideal for adhering timbers and other porous construction materials. After drying it is beige (light tan) in colour. UsesLiquid Nails Fast has high initial (immediate) grab which reduces the need to support joins while the adhesive cures. The initial grab works best with porous surfaces. It will bond to many building materials including MDF, particle board, timber, plaster board, styrene foam, masonry, concrete, tiles, ceramics, metals, plastics*, rubber and glass. Faster results are achieved when at least one surface is porous. Liquid Nails Fast would typically be used for the following applications: Areas where nailing is not desirableSkirting boards, architraves, cornicesWall panelling to masonryStyrene foam to metal roofing Technical FeaturesFast grab – high initial holding minimises slippage when adhering on vertical surfacesMeets or exceeds AS 2329-1999 (Mastic adhesives for fixing wall boards)Does not drip, sag or string between panelsBridges gaps and will adhere materials with uneven surfacesLow mess – excess and squeeze out is easily cleaned up with wet clothNo solvent fumes – ideal for large indoor jobsHigh flexibility – will withstand thermal movement and vibrationHigh heat resistance – will not lose bonds exposed to sunPaintable when dryEasy to extrude at all temperatures Application TipsLiquid Nails Fast should always be used in conjunction with permanent mechanical fasteners except in low stress applications such as wall panelling and fixing light weight objects. (Bonds may creep under constant heavy loads.)Bonds are not water resistant. Protect bonds from water penetration if used in exterior applications. In cold or damp weather and between non-porous materials drying time is greatly extendedThick applications take longer to dry than thin applicationsPre-test plastics to determine suitable bonding. Adheres well to UPVC. Not suitable for polyethylene and polypropylene. For wood flooring applications Liquid Nails (solvent based) is recommended. [Liquid Nails Fast is satisfactory for fixing sheet flooring (particleboard/ply) to joists in conjunction with the manufacturer’s minimum nailing specification but is not recommended for fixing sheet wood flooring to flat surfaces such as existing or concrete floors. Technical Details and PerformanceFor porous substrates good bond strength is achieved after 24 hours and will continue to strengthen over 2-3 day period. Time for strong bond depends on nature and conditions of application. In cold or damp weather and between non-porous materials, drying time is greatly extended. • Packshot of SikaBond High-Strength Foam Construction Adhesive 750 mL

Sika SikaBond High-Strength Foam Construction Adhesive 750 mL

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

SikaBond High-Strength Foam Construction Adhesive 750 mL is a reliable one component foam construction adhesive dispensed from a can chosen for home repairs, trade work, and craft builds when you want a bond you can trust. Designed for Australian conditions, it balances strength, ease of use, and clean application so you can get professional results without special tools. The 750 mL pack is ideal for general work and keeps neatly in a toolbox or caddy. Why choose Sika High-Strength for your next project Everyday jobs often involve mixed materials and imperfect surfaces. SikaBond High-Strength Foam Construction Adhesive 750 mL has been formulated to wet out well, grab quickly, and cure to a tough finish that resists movement and contact stress. It maintains bond integrity across common temperature swings and has dependable resistance to moisture and most household chemicals. Whether you are fixing, building, sealing, or assembling, this product gives you confidence from first squeeze through final set. Best for Fixing studs, battens, and sheets Filling small gaps while bonding Fast installation where speed saves labour Suitable surfaces The adhesive works well on the following surface types when properly prepared: Timber and masonry Concrete and fibre cement Many building materials except PE and PP Surface preparation Good preparation is the key to a long lasting repair. Remove loose material, dust, and grease. Wipe glossy areas with methylated spirits or an approved cleaner and allow to dry. On very smooth plastics and metals, lightly roughen with fine abrasive paper to give the adhesive a mechanical key. Dry fit parts first and mark alignment points so you can assemble accurately within the open time. If bonding porous materials, ensure both faces are dry and free of surface chalking. How to use Check fit and plan clamping. Do a trial run without adhesive so you know the order of steps. Apply a thin, continuous bead to one surface. For wide pieces, use a zig zag pattern to maximise wetting. Bring surfaces together within the stated open time of assemble parts within the open time to ensure a strong bond. Reseat once if needed, then hold steady. Apply even pressure using clamps, tape, weights, or temporary fasteners. Avoid squeezing all adhesive out of the joint. Allow to cure undisturbed. Initial handling strength will develop as the adhesive sets, with a full cure reached based on the chemistry described below. Cure profile Expands slightly to fill gaps, then cures to a firm, high strength foam. Provides excellent initial grab and reduces the need for nails in many applications. Temperature and environmental performance Apply within the can's specified temperature range. Humidity supports foam curing. Avoid application to very cold, sweating, or waterlogged surfaces. For outdoor use protect fresh bonds from rain until the skin has formed and the core has progressed in cure. Once fully cured, the bond resists normal weathering, splash water, and intermittent UV exposure based on the substrate and paint systems used. Clean up and finishing Clean uncured foam with the prescribed cleaner. Once cured, cut back mechanically. When cured, excess can be carefully trimmed or sanded. For painted finishes, allow the adhesive to fully cure before priming. Test paint on a small area to confirm compatibility and drying behaviour. Coverage guide Coverage varies with bead size, surface porosity, and technique. As a general guide, a 3 mm bead yields approximately 10 to 12 linear meters per 310 mL cartridge. Smaller packs scale proportionally. Gaps, rough edges, and highly absorbent materials will reduce coverage. Plan an extra margin for offcuts and practice passes. Tips for best results Work within the recommended open time so the adhesive can properly wet the surfaces. Use light clamping pressure to keep parts aligned while maintaining a film thickness for strength. For very porous substrates, apply a thin precoat as a primer layer and allow it to tack before final assembly. Keep joint lines clean by masking edges with painter tape and removing it before the adhesive skins. Where movement or vibration is expected, design the joint to share load across a large area. Troubleshooting Poor adhesion: Check for oil, release agents, or surface dust. Reclean and lightly abrade if necessary. Slow cure: Low temperature and low humidity extend cure time. Maintain moderate conditions for best results. Visible squeeze out: Wipe fresh material with a suitable solvent and a soft cloth. Once cured, trim carefully. Bond line prints through paint: Allow a full cure, then prime and apply thin coats of paint, allowing proper drying between coats. Storage and shelf life Store cans upright. Do not expose to heat. Observe transport and disposal rules for pressurised containers. Always check the pack for a lot code and use by guidance. Reseal immediately after use and store upright. Dispose of empty containers responsibly. Safety Read the label before use. Wear gloves when handling uncured material. Provide ventilation in enclosed areas. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep out of reach of children and pets. If sensitivity occurs, stop use and seek advice. Do not ingest. First aid directions and detailed handling information are available on the package and the safety data sheet. Frequently asked questions Can I bond dissimilar materials? Yes, provided each surface is clean and sound. Differences in expansion are managed by the adhesive film thickness and the inherent flexibility after cure. Is clamping required? Light clamping improves alignment and final strength. Excessive pressure can starve the joint of adhesive which reduces performance. Is the bond water resistant? Once cured the bond resists splash water and routine humidity. For permanent immersion choose an adhesive designed for underwater service and follow the manufacturer guidance. Planning your job Measure twice and cut once. Dry assemble parts so you can confirm squareness and alignment before adhesive is involved. Keep rags, clamps, and spacers ready. If you are new to the product, test on offcuts to get a feel for bead size and squeeze out. A consistent 1 to 2 mm bond line is a good starting point for most rigid materials. Thicker lines help when surfaces are uneven. Avoid starving the joint by pressing too hard without giving the adhesive a place to reside. Responsible use Choose an adhesive that suits the materials and the environment the finished piece will face. If a joint will be submerged, carry structural loads, or be exposed to strong chemicals, check the technical data sheet for specific guidance. Many general purpose products are perfect for day to day work, while specialised tasks call for a system designed and tested for that environment. Using the right product first saves time, money, and rework. Aftercare and maintenance Adhesive joints are remarkably strong when used correctly. Design repairs so that routine loads are shared across a generous area. Where heavy vibration is present, pair the adhesive bond with appropriate mechanical fasteners. Keep cleaning chemicals mild, and avoid abrasive pads on visible joints. If a bond will be repainted, choose flexible paint where movement is expected, and keep edges sealed to prevent dirt tracking along the bond line. Recycling and disposal Allow empty containers to cure before disposal. Check local council guidance for recycling of plastics and metal cartridges. Never pour uncured product into drains or soil. Wipe tools on scrap material and let residue harden before placing in general waste. Smart handling keeps the workspace clean and reduces environmental impact.

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Liquid Nails Fast is a water-based high strength (*) construction adhesive with fast grab and low odour. It has a thick, non-runny consistency and is ideal for adhering timbers and other porous construction materials. After drying it is beige (light tan) in colour. Uses Liquid Nails Fast has high initial (immediate) grab which reduces the need to support joins while the adhesive cures. The initial grab works best with porous surfaces. It will bond to many building materials including MDF, particle board, timber, plaster board, styrene foam, masonry, concrete, tiles, ceramics, metals, plastics*, rubber and glass. Faster results are achieved when at least one surface is porous. Liquid Nails Fast would typically be used for the following applications: Areas where nailing is not desirable Skirting boards, architraves, cornices Wall panelling to masonry Styrene foam to metal roofing Technical Features Fast grab – high initial holding minimises slippage when adhering on vertical surfaces Meets or exceeds AS 2329-1999 (Mastic adhesives for fixing wall boards) Does not drip, sag or string between panels Bridges gaps and will adhere materials with uneven surfaces Low mess – excess and squeeze out is easily cleaned up with wet cloth No solvent fumes – ideal for large indoor jobs High flexibility – will withstand thermal movement and vibration High heat resistance – will not lose bonds exposed to sun Paintable when dry Easy to extrude at all temperatures Application Tips Liquid Nails Fast should always be used in conjunction with permanent mechanical fasteners except in low stress applications such as wall panelling and fixing light weight objects. (Bonds may creep under constant heavy loads.) Bonds are not water resistant. Protect bonds from water penetration if used in exterior applications. In cold or damp weather and between non-porous materials drying time is greatly extended Thick applications take longer to dry than thin applications Pre-test plastics to determine suitable bonding. Technical Details and Performance For porous substrates good bond strength is achieved after 24 hours and will continue to strengthen over 2-3 day period. Time for strong bond depends on nature and conditions of application. In cold or damp weather and between non-porous materials, drying time is greatly extended. Indicative information only, not to be used for setting specifications. Appearance Lump free, air-free smooth beige paste Specific Gravity Approx. 1.44g/mL @ 25oC Viscosity Typical 7000 – 9000 Poise Slump Typical: 0mm Shear Adhesion Strength (7 days) (AS2329) Greater than 1500kPa (Hoop pine substrate) Peel Adhesion Strength (7 days cure) Typical 40N/25mm (wire gauze off hoop pine.(Variant to AS2329)) Initial Bond Strength AS2329-1999D (Tested after 24 hrs) Over 200kPa Heat Resistance Bonds will resist temporary exposure to temperatures up to 140oC. Constant high temperatures will reduce constant load holding power (see below). Creep resistance (under constant load)*2 Fully cured *1 bonds of 625 sq. mm will hold up to 500g loads (7.8kPa) in shear at constant 80oC Fully cured *1 bonds of 625 sq.mm will hold up to 100kPa in shear at 25oC (equivalent to 6Kg load on 625 sq.mm bond area) Coverage 15 metres of a 5mm diameter bead 1mm thick bonds on porous substrates cured at least 7 days at temps above 25oC This data is provided as indicative only. Not to be used for design purposes. Thick bonds reduce constant load holding power and increase curing time. Larger bond areas increase curing time. Cleaning Liquid Nails Fast may be cleaned off with hot soapy water or a damp cloth while still wet. Dry adhesive is best removed by scraping or peeling.

Selleys Selleys EZI Press Liquid Nails Fast Action High Strenght Cartridge 130g

Sold Out  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Selleys Ezi Press Liquid Nails Fast water based high strength construction adhesive is the NEW easy to use application system that does not require a caulking gun. Simply apply at the press of a lever. Perfect for sticking materials together such as architraves and skirting. Key Benefits No caulking gun required Easily applied with a press of a lever Flow control for precise application and finish with no run on Features Fast grab minimises slippage when adhering on vertical surfaces and minimises the need to support joints while it cures. Water based, so it is faster to clean up. Less mess and fuss. Low odour making it ideal for indoor jobs. Heat resistant meaning the integrity of the bond will remain when exposed to direct sunlight. Strong bond – which will cope with shrinkage and thermal movement, so you know the job will last. Paintable after 12 hours. Cures and works best on porous surfaces, which makes it ideal for sticking wall panels to masonry. Doesn’t drip, sag or string, so there is less mess when you are using the product Bridges gaps on rough and ill fitting construction material Not for use on polyethylene, polypropylene, Teflon or silicone. Perfect for indoor projects: Timber panelling to walls Skirting boards Styrene foam panels and blocks Architraves Particle board to masonry surfaces Tasks where nailing is not desirable For sheet timber flooring to flat surfaces LIQUID NAILS High Strength is recommended. Not suitable for use for polyethylene and polypropylene. Bonds are not water resistant. Protect bonds from water penetration if used in exterior applications. What materials is this product suitable for? MDF Particleboard Plasterboard Rubber & Glass Architraves Skirting boards Cornices Timber Polystyrene Foam Concrete and Masonry Tiles and ceramics Most plastic – pre test plastic to determine compatibility How to use this product Ensure the surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil and loose powdery materials. If porous surfaces are greasy or dirty, we would recommend cleaning the surface with SELLEYS LIQUID SUGAR SOAP, and allow to dry. If the surface is non-porous eg metal, firstly clean the surface with Mineral Turpetine and then again with Methylated Spirits, and allow to dry. Surfaces should not be visibly wet or constantly damp. Oily timber types may need to be wiped with solvent prior to application to remove surface oils. We also recommend sanding the surface back with a good quality sanding block, as the construction adhesive will adhere more readily to a scratched up surface. Ezi Press remove cap Remove tab lock and nozzle cap. Twist collar clockwise towards MAX and adjust between MIN and MAX to control flow. Ezi Press application Simply press lever gently to dispense filler to surface. On broad flat surfaces apply beads every 40cm, on smaller surfaces apply dots. Bring surfaces together as soon as possible (within first 5 mins). Fix with sufficient nails, screws or clamping to hold load. Ezi Press min max Clean up with a damp cloth, twist collar back to MIN and replace nozzle cap. Allow the adhesive to set (at least 24 hours) before removing any temporary fasteners or clamping. For higher initial grab, apply to one surface only, press together and pull apart. Allow to dry for up to 5 min (no longer) before firmly joining. For porous substrates, a good bond strength is achieved after 24 hours and will continue to strengthen over a 2-3 day period. The time it takes to form a strong bond depends on the nature and conditions of the application. In cold or damp weather and between non porous materials, the drying time is greatly extended. When the product is still wet it can be removed with warm soapy water or a damp cloth, otherwise if the product is dry it can be removed by sanding or scraping.

Recommended on Great for crafting projects Bonding metal, glass, ceramic, wood, many rigid plastics, china, tile, fiberglass, concrete and stone Can be combined with fiberglass cloth for a durable patch Properties High impact resistance: won’t crack when drilled Can be tinted to match surrounding materials Water resistant and can be used outdoors Does not shrink Convenient instant mix syringe Consistently dispenses equal, uniformly mixed amounts of each component Sets in 40 to 60 seconds Quick completion of project HOW TO USE: Step 1: Safety Precautions Well-ventilated area, gloves. Step 2: Preparation Protect work area. Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from oil, wax and paint. For better adhesion, roughen smooth surfaces prior to cleaning. Pre-fit parts to be joined. Remove plastic cap from center of plunger. Turn nozzle end up and pull plunger back slightly allowing air bubbles to rise to top. Snap off and discard end of syringe. Insert nozzle opening and push past prongs. Rotate nozzle 90° to lock into place. Step 3: Application Depress plunger to dispense equal amounts of hardener and resin directly onto surface to be filled or bonded. Remove and discard nozzle. Wipe syringe tip immediately. Retract plunger slightly and close with the cap provided. Place objects together within 40 seconds of adhesive application. Bond sets in 40 to 60 seconds at 20°C to 25°C. Remove any excess adhesive immediately with mineral spirits. Usable strength is obtained within 5 to 10 minutes. Warmer temperatures will shorten the set time and cooler temperatures will lengthen it. Step 4: Cleanup Clean excess glue immediately with mineral spirits. Cured adhesive may be cut away with caution using a sharp blade. Prolonged immersion in paint stripper will soften the cured adhesive to aid removal.

Kwik Grip Advanced can be used as wet bond on absorbent surfaces such as timber, cardboard etc. Contact bonding: 1 Ensure surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry and free from dirt, grease, dust or particles. 2 Using applicator provided with pack, completely cover both surfaces with adhesive and keep surfaces apart until the surface turns from white to clear – approx. 20 minutes. Tip: use dowels or something similar to keep surfaces apart 3 Position the items carefully, still keeping surfaces apart. When edges are perfectly aligned, remove dowels and working from one edge press surfaces firmly together. Note: Grabs IMMEDIATELY on contact. 4 Secure bond by running a roller over the bonded surfaces or by hammering the surface from the centre outwards using a padded block. Maximum Bond strength is achieved after 24 hours. Note: Drying time may be extended in cold and wet weather conditions. Wet bonding: Ensure surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry and free from dirt, grease, dust or particles. Apply to one surface then bring surfaces together and clamp until dry. Clean up application tools and excess adhesive with damp cloth & water before it dries. Handy tips What is a contact adhesive? A contact adhesive is an adhesive that must be applied to two surfaces and allowed to dry before surfaces are joined. Once surfaces are pushed together an instant bond forms. Therefore extended pressure or clamping is unnecessary (*Clamping of warped or curled surfaces may be required) Being Low VOC/low odour this product is much safer for use indoors than most other contact adhesives which tend to be solvent-based.. Can be used on horizontal or vertical surfaces In the event of prolonged open time, Kwik Grip Advanced will continue to give good contact bond for up to 8 hours. What does this mean? This means that once you have applied the adhesive, if you suddenly need to run out to the shops or go and do another job, you can safely come back within 8 hours and join the two surfaces for a great result! Many solvent-based contact adhesives have a much shorter open time limit.

Plasterboard Cabinet Plaster coving Carpet Wood Particleboard Metals (other surface must be porous) Glass (other surface must be porous) Ceramics (other surface must be porous) Brick (other surface must be porous) Concrete Cork Polystyrene foam (other surface must be porous) UPVC (other surface must be porous) Many rigid plastics* (other surface must be porous) Loose wall tiles (in non-wet areas) How to Use Surfaces to be bonded must be dry, sound and free from grease/oil and dust. Work tube between fingers for several seconds to loosen contents. Cut the tip of the nozzle and squeeze to apply adhesive onto one surface. Immediately press parts firmly together. Bonds can be repositioned for up to 5 minutes. If adhesive surfaces form a skin no bond will form. The bond will usually have good strength after 24 hours and will continue to strengthen for a few days. Application Tips For long narrow attachments (e.g. skirting boards) apply one or two continuous beads. For larger flat areas use beads approximately 30cm apart. For small items (e.g. tiles) spots of adhesive may be used. Wipe away excess adhesive with a damp cloth. Dried adhesive is best removed by scraping. Limitations: Not suitable for permanently wet or damp areas. Not suitable for fixing mirrors. Use Selleys Liquid Nails Mirror Metal & Glass. *Not suitable for polyethylene and polypropylene. Use Selleys All Plastic Fix. Bonds are not water-resistant. Protect bonds from water penetration if used in exterior applications. Not resistant to strong acids and strong organic solvents. Do not apply below 10°C. When used near brass or copper, the immediate area of contact will discolour to a blue tone. Handy Tips At least one surface must be porous for effective bonding. If both surfaces are non-porous, drying time is greatly increased. Clamping may be necessary until adhesive dries. Wet, damp and cold weather will increase drying time Wipe away excess with a damp rag. Use temporary supports when bonding a heavy load - support until adhesive dries. Particularly on uneven or smooth or non-porous surfaces. Good for gap filling - i.e. sticking two rough surfaces together. All Fix Big Jobs may stain slightly and colour can be paler than the surrounding area, squeeze out should be wiped off if intending to stain. Clean Up Uncured product may be removed with water. Cured product can be removed by scraping.

Works on: Styrofoam

Adhesives specifically tagged foam-safe for expanded polystyrene (EPS). Avoid solvent-based products that can melt the foam; select water-based contact cements, PVAs, foam-safe sprays or low-temp hot-melt. For large panels, consider high-tack sprays and tapes. Use the filters to narrow by chemistry, cure speed, temperature rating and clean-up. Always check the product page and TDS/SDS for suitability and instructions.
