Note: This product is formulated for timber floors. If you need an adhesive for tiled floors, please use the regular Fix-A-Floor available Click here. NEW – Fix-A-Floor Polyurethane Wood Floor Repair Adhesive features an extra-strength, super-blend formula specifically designed for re-bonding loose, hollow, squeaky, popping, or bouncy timber floors. There’s no need to remove or replace floorboards — simply Drill & Fill for a long-lasting, nearly invisible repair. The precision nozzle allows for very small drill holes, ensuring a clean finish. Ideal for all solid hardwood, engineered timber, and bamboo floors. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, and for small or large repair areas. Odourless and very low in VOCs. Coverage: One 300 mL tube covers approximately 0.37 m² (around 600 mm x 600 mm). Just Drill & Fill! Flooring professionals often prefer polyurethane when repairing timber floors due to its strength and flexibility. The Fix-A-Floor polyurethane formula does not foam or expand when applied and cures within 24 hours. Once set, it moves naturally with the timber’s expansion and contraction, preventing cracking or bond failure. Perfect for permanently fixing loose, squeaky, or bouncy floors. Not recommended for use in moist or wet areas. The Fix-A-Floor Large Application Syringe is another excellent option for applying the adhesive if you’d like to drill even smaller holes than 3.5 mm. Always test on a small area first to confirm desired results, and keep from freezing before use. Directions for Repairing Timber Floors: Locate problem areas by tapping the floor with a wooden dowel, broom handle, or similar object, and mark the perimeter using chalk or painter’s tape. Inside the marked area, use a 3.5 mm drill bit and drill at least one hole on each end of the affected floorboard(s). Larger areas may require additional holes. Vacuum debris from each hole. Remove the cap and unscrew the nozzle. Pierce a large hole in the tube with an awl or similar tool. If needed, clear the nozzle before screwing it back on. Using a quality caulking gun, inject Fix-A-Floor into each drilled hole. When adhesive seeps from adjacent holes, you have achieved full coverage. Place a finger over the nozzle when moving between holes to prevent spills. Once complete, wipe away any excess with a damp cloth or sponge and allow to cure for 24 hours before filling holes. Use a matching timber filler or putty from your local hardware store. Clean any residue with mineral turpentine. Your floor is FIXED!

Selleys Kwik Grip Crystal Clear applies clear and dries crystal clear for less mess and invisible bond lines. Excellent for achieving a neat, clear finish when bonding large, flat close-fitting surfaces such as veneers and laminates for bench or table tops. Forms a durable, heat and water-resistant bond. Features Solvent based contact adhesive Applies clear and dries crystal clear Strong, durable bond on broad surfaces Easy to spread Heat resistant – up to 80°C Water resistant Where can this product be used? Applications where invisible bond lines are needed such as adhering decorative strips to a mirror Bonding veneers of timber and laminated plastics (e.g. Laminex and Formica) to bench or table tops Patching vinyl flooring or replacing a vinyl tile Cork tiling and laying a vinyl floor Fixing shoes or laminate to tables, benchtops, etc. Leather shoe and leather repairs, handbags, and leather work Adhering flexible or other materials to aluminium Joining or repairing holes in tents, car covers, and other outdoor equipment Seek advice of vinyl flooring manufacturers prior to use with their products as discolouration and bubbling can occur with some types. If in doubt, Kwik Grip Waterbased is safe to use for all these applications and will provide excellent bonding. Not suitable for bonding rough, ill-fitting surfaces. Consider using alternative products such as Selleys Liquid Nails for these applications. What materials is this product suitable for? Veneers Rubber Cork Felt Leather Canvas Metals Timber How to use this product Use only in a well-ventilated area. Contact Bonding Hold down lid while opening can. Ensure surfaces are clean and dry. For porous surfaces, apply a thin coat to seal surface and allow to dry for approx. 40 minutes. Using an applicator, completely cover both surfaces with adhesive and keep apart until touch dry (approx. 15 minutes, no more than 30 minutes). Position items carefully, still keeping surfaces apart with dowels. When edges are perfectly aligned, remove dowels and press surfaces firmly together from one edge to the other. Secure the bond by running a roller over the bonded surfaces or by hammering from the centre outwards using a padded block. Maximum bond strength is reached after 24 hours. Clamping may be necessary for warped or curled surfaces. Wet Bonding (for small areas or porous surfaces) Ensure surfaces are clean and dry. Apply Kwik Grip to one surface, then bring the surfaces together and clamp until dry. Handy Tips Test plastics before use as solvents may attack some polystyrene and sheet vinyls. 500mL covers up to 2.5m² of one surface, depending on porosity. For vertical surfaces use Selleys Kwik Grip Vertical Gel. For confined or low-ventilation areas, use Selleys Kwik Grip Waterbased, which is non-toxic and fume-free. Use a brush, knife, or serrated scraper for application. Bonding is immediate once the two surfaces are joined. Keep container sealed when not in use. Surface Preparation and Cleanup For porous surfaces, clean with Selleys Liquid Sugar Soap. For non-porous surfaces (e.g. glass or metal), clean with mineral turpentine followed by methylated spirits. For old paint or residue, use Selleys Kwik Strip Smart and ensure surface is dry before applying adhesive. While wet, adhesive can be removed using mineral turps. Cured adhesive is very difficult to remove. Tools can be cleaned by soaking in toluol or lacquer thinner. Keep Selleys Sugar Soap Wipes handy for quick cleanup. Safety: Contains highly flammable solvents. Ensure all fire precautions are observed. As an alternative, Kwik Grip Waterbased is non-flammable.

Gorilla Gorilla Original Glue Bonds Virtually Everything Water Proof 236ml

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

The product that started it all. Original Gorilla Glue built a name for itself with its incredible, industrial holding power and versatility. Water activated, it expands into materials to form an incredibly strong bond to virtually anything. Gorilla Glue is your solution for almost any project or repair. It’s 100% waterproof, safe for indoor and outdoor use and strong enough to stand up to the elements. Plus, its expansion allows it to penetrate the glued surface for a superior bond. Sand it, paint it, stain it. Simply stated, it’s the Toughest Glue on Planet Earth. Directions Prepare and Dampen the Surfaces If you’re using Original Gorilla Glue for the first time, or bonding a new type of material, we always recommend trying a test piece first. Prepare your surfaces: All surfaces must be clean, dust free and tight fitting. For shiny surfaces, such as metals, glass and some plastics, roughen up the material to give the glue something to bite into. Damp It: Lightly dampen one surface with water. We recommend using a damp cloth or spraying with water. Do not saturate the surface. For dense hardwoods, lightly dampen both surfaces prior to gluing. Evenly Apply Gorilla Glue Onto the Dry Surface Glue It: Carefully apply onto the dry surface. Do not over apply. We recommend wearing gloves or spreading the glue with a disposable brush. In some instances, Gorilla Glue can be a skin sensitizer. If you are predisposed to skin reactions, please take the extra precaution. If you do get the glue on your skin, try removing it with a dry cloth or paper towel first (particularly if the glue is still tacky). If that doesn’t work, try washing with soap and cold water, or using an exfoliator with a gritty texture. Dry your skin and apply lotion. We do not recommend using any kind of alcohol or acetone. This actually strips the skin of its natural oils, which means the glue is more likely to stick. Clamp the Two Surfaces Together Tightly Clamp It: Make sure the clamping pressure is distributed evenly across the surface. Or, if you don’t have a clamp, use heavy objects or Gorilla Tape® to achieve the appropriate clamping pressure. For lighter objects, try using rubber bands to hold the pieces together tightly. Clamp objects for 1–2 hours. For best results, allow 24 hours to cure. Clean up If you need to remove any uncured “squeeze out” or wet glue, we recommend wiping with a dry cloth or using a standard paint thinner. Make sure to read and follow directions if using a paint thinner. Always wear gloves. Once the glue is dry, it is best removed mechanically: Try sanding, chiseling, scraping or picking. The dried glue will not damage tools. Storage Tips After each use, wipe the bottle’s lid and nozzle clean with a dry cloth. For 2 oz. bottles, tightly replace the lid after wiping clean and store in a cool, dry place. For bottle sizes 4 oz. and larger, we suggest squeezing excess air out of the bottle. While still squeezing, tightly replace the cap and then store in a cool, dry place. This helps eliminate moisture in the bottle. You should expect a year shelf life. What is the temperature range for applying the glue? For best results, apply the glue at room temperature. Original Gorilla Glue should be left out of reach of children and animals. Can you speed up the curing process? Original Gorilla Glue should be clamped for 1–2 hours. During this time, it reaches 80% cure. Allow 24 hours for 100% cure. Note that cure time can vary depending on temperature, humidity and the porosity of the bonding materials. Is Gorilla Glue truly 100% waterproof? Yes. Gorilla Glue is 100% waterproof. It passes ANSI/HPVA Types I and II. How do I extend the shelf life of Gorilla Glue? Gorilla Glue is moisture activated. Once the adhesive comes in contact with moisture, it can start to harden. To extend the shelf life, always wipe lid and nozzle clean with a dry cloth and tightly replace the lid. My bottle of glue has formed a dry layer on top; can I still use it? Any glue that is still in liquid form is perfectly usable and reliable. If the dry layer is very thin, use a pointed tool to poke through it and carefully pull the dry layer through the cap. Do not microwave or heat your bottle of Gorilla Glue to soften the top layer. How do I clean up Gorilla Glue? Wipe off excess glue immediately with a dry cloth or standard paint thinner. Do not drag glue over material; instead, make small swipes to remove wet adhesive. Make sure you avoid skin contact. Cured glue can be removed with a chisel, scraper or sandpaper What is the proper clamp time? When using Original Gorilla Glue, clamp objects for 1–2 hours. For best results, leave overnight. What if I don’t have clamps? Gorilla Glue expands as it cures. To ensure the strongest bond, clamping pressure is needed. There are many different ways to clamp the surfaces, but keep in mind the stronger the pressure, the better the bond will be. Professional clamps are ideal, but if those aren’t handy, you can use heavy weight from bricks, books or even Gorilla Tape. The key is to ensure a tight-fitting glue line by applying even distribution of pressure. How much Gorilla Glue should I apply? Apply a thin layer of glue. A little bit goes a long way. As a general guide, use a ½ ounce per square foot. Be careful of uncured “squeeze-out” or wet glue, particularly on finished furniture. If you need to remove any squeeze-out, we recommend wiping with a dry cloth or using a standard paint thinner. Make sure you use the solvent with care in a well-ventilated area. Always wear gloves. Once the glue is dry, it is best removed mechanically: Try sanding, chiseling, scraping or picking. The dried glue will not damage tools. Visit our Gorilla Glue Directions page for more information. Why do I need to add moisture before gluing with Gorilla Glue? Gorilla Glue is moisture activated—this is what causes the chemical reaction in polyurethane adhesives. Therefore, you need to apply a small amount of moisture to one surface. Then apply glue to the dry surface and clamp. For dense hardwoods, lightly dampen both surfaces prior to gluing. Do I need to prepare the surface first? Make sure surfaces are clean and tight fitting. For smooth, shiny surfaces, such as metal and plastic, adhesion can be increased by sanding or abrading the surface. This gives Gorilla Glue more surface area to grip. Is Gorilla Glue really for the Toughest Jobs on Planet Earth? Gorilla Glue is an all-purpose adhesive. If used correctly, it will bond just about anything and for just about forever. It is free of solvents and fillers, which makes it strong and versatile. There are some surfaces and materials that are difficult to glue, such as certain plastics. Aside from a few of these materials, we are certain Gorilla Glue offers an extraordinary, waterproof bond on just about anything.

Earl’s Wood Hardener - Restore Soft, Rotted Timber Like New Bring weakened, decayed timber back to life with Earl’s Wood Hardener. This water-based consolidator penetrates deep into soft, rotted fibres and bonds them into a tough, stable base that’s ready for filling, sanding, and painting. Use it to save windowsills, frames, posts, decking boards, furniture, fences, and more—without costly tear-outs or replacements. Why Customers Love It Repairs instead of replacing: Restores soft, crumbly timber to near original strength so you can patch and repaint. Water-based formulation: Low odour, no volatile organic compounds, and non-toxic when cured. Ready to use: Pre-mixed; just shake and apply—no diluting or measuring. Works inside and out: Ideal for interior and exterior timber exposed to weathering. Versatile application: Pour, brush, spray, or syringe to saturate deep into affected areas. Long shelf life: Stays usable for extended periods when stored correctly. Proudly Australian made: Developed for local conditions and everyday DIY and trade use. Where to Use Window sills and sashes, door frames, posts, fences, balustrades, fascia boards, decking edges, outdoor furniture, indoor furniture, trims, mouldings—any non-structural timber showing soft rot or fibre breakdown. How It Works The thin, penetrating formula wicks into softened timber fibres. As it cures, it binds those fibres together to form a firm, stable base that can be filled, sanded, and coated. No need to carve out all the rot—thorough saturation does the heavy lifting. Directions Prep: Ensure the area is dry. Remove dirt, dust, grease, loose paint, varnish, and flaky wood. Mask adjacent finishes if needed. Apply: Shake well. Generously pour, brush, spray, or syringe the hardener into the affected timber. Repeatedly saturate to drive product deep into fibres. Cure: Allow to cure until solid and no longer tacky to the touch. Extremely soft timber may need multiple treatments. Repair: Fill voids with a compatible wood filler, let set, then sand smooth. Finish: Prime/seal and paint or coat as desired. Pro Tip For deep penetration around a localized patch of rot, mark approximately 75 mm either side of the soft area and drill small holes between those points. Brush, spray, or syringe the hardener into the holes until saturation is achieved. Clean-Up & Safety Clean tools and drips with water while wet. Use above 7 °C and in well-ventilated areas. Non-toxic when cured. Always follow label directions and keep out of reach of children. Compatibility Once cured, the hardened substrate accepts most timber fillers and putties. After filling and sanding, it can be primed and top-coated with typical timber paints and finishes. Always test on a small area for compatibility. Limitations Not for structural load-bearing repairs. Not recommended for constant water immersion or areas that cannot be dried prior to application. Timber must be reasonably sound after consolidation; heavily degraded material may require multiple treatments or replacement. Specifications Type Water-based timber consolidant / hardener Use Restoring soft, rotted, non-structural timber prior to filling and painting Appearance Low viscosity liquid; dries clear/transparent Odour / VOC Low odour; no volatile organic compounds Application Methods Pour, brush, spray, or syringe to saturate fibres Interior / Exterior Suitable for both Minimum Application Temperature Above 7 °C Cure Indicator Ready for filling when firm and not tacky to the touch Clean-Up Water while wet Shelf Life In excess of 2 years when stored sealed in a cool, dry place Substrates Soft or rotted timber (non-structural), interior and exterior Country of Manufacture Australia Packaging Ready-to-use container What’s in the Box Earl’s Wood Hardener (ready to use) Storage Keep container tightly closed. Store upright in a cool, dry location away from freezing and direct heat. Do not allow product to dry out in the container. Disposal Allow residual product to cure before disposal. Follow local waste regulations. Important Notes Always read and follow the product label before use. Test on a discreet area to confirm adhesion and finish compatibility. The consolidated timber is not structural and should not be relied upon for load-bearing applications.

Bricks and mortar Ceramics and porcelain Concrete Fibre cement Marble & stone Metal Wood Many plastics including polystyrene How to use this product Throughly clean and dry surface from oil, dirt and grease with Mineral Turpentine firstly and then Methylated Spirits. Allow to dry completely before applying silicone. If there old silicone which needs to be removed, we recommend using SELLEYS SILICONE REMOVER, this ingenous product makes removing old silicone easy. We also recommend sanding the surface back with a good quality sanding block, such as a ROTA COTA Sanding Block Medium/Course grain, as the silicone will adhere more readily to a scratched up surface. Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. Cut the seal at the top of the cartridge and cut the nozzle at a 45° angle, to the size of the gap opening. Fit the nozzle to the top of the cartridge. Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking gun. We recommend SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking Gun, as its new innovative pressure release design reduces the mess which results from run on and stress on your hands, which is critical if you are doing a lot of sealing. Hold the caulking gun at a 45° angle. Press the nozzle opening against the joint, apply steady pressure to the caulking gun and extrude the silicone sealant forcing the sealant into the gap and move in a pushing motion, along the joint in one smooth action. For a smooth finish, smooth with a finger dipped in mineral turpetine or for a professional finish use a paint scraper such as a 50mm ROTA COTA Soft Grip Scraper dipped in mineral turpetine. Excess sealant must be cleaned up before the sealant skins in 5-10 minutes. Wipe excess away with a cloth dampened in mineral turpetine or use a SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipes. Remove tape before the sealant skins. Clean tools immediately in mineral turpetine. Avoid smearing on surrounding surfaces, see a handy tip. The sealant will cure fully in 72 hours. As this point, any unwanted sealant can be removed by trimming with a sharp blade but avoid undercutting the seal. Handy tips Tips for Using a Brick & Concrete Silicone Sealant Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. When first applying product, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of silicone sealant. Remove the tape before the silicone sealant skins. For a better finish complete painting prior to use of the sealant as it can not be painted over. For a better finish, use a spatula dipped in mineral turpentine or detergent and water to tool off the sealant. Work in sections that can be completed before sealant skins. Tooling off and tape removal must be completed before skinning occurs or a rough surface may result, so working in sections allows for a better finish. Keep a pack of SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipes handy to wipe up any spills and for cleaning any material off the skin before it cures. They are an easy and effective way to keep clean on the job. Safetytips Uncured product may irritate eyes. Avoid contact with skin, if contact occurs, wipe off immediately and wash with detergent. It may irritate sensitive skin. Avoid breathing in vapours. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full details.Storage and re-use Store in cool dry conditions, below 30°C The sealant should be used within 6 months after opening. After use keep the nozzle on the cartridge Silicone is a reactive product and is designed to cure once exposed to humidity. While the product may be stored for a few months once opened, it does have a limited shelf life. Storage in an upright position in a cool dry place is recommended to maximise the storage life. If the sealant is going to be used again within a few days, leave the nozzle on and merely extrude approximately 2 cm of product before storing the cartridge upright. This will cure to a plug which can easily be pulled out when required. For longer storage periods, leave the nozzle on and place a piece of plasticene or Blu Tack over the end of the nozzle. Tightly tape a piece of aluminium foil over the whole nozzle to exclude any air. When you want to re-use the product, simply take off the foil and plug from the old nozzle pull out the excess silicone from the nozzle with a corkscrew, then re-pierce any cure at the tip of the cartridge and re-use. If cure has taken place into the cartridge, the product is unlikely to be in a useable state and should be discarded.

For wide pieces, use a zig zag pattern to maximise wetting. Bring surfaces together within the stated open time of observe skin time and install components within this window. Reseat once if needed, then hold steady. Apply even pressure using clamps, tape, weights, or temporary fasteners. Avoid squeezing all adhesive out of the joint. Allow to cure undisturbed. Initial handling strength will develop as the adhesive sets, with a full cure reached based on the chemistry described below. Cure profile Moisture cure technology forms a strong, elastic bond. Skin forms first, followed by through cure depending on joint depth and humidity. Temperature and environmental performance Do not apply below the minimum stated on pack. Maintain adequate humidity for moisture cure. Avoid application to very cold, sweating, or waterlogged surfaces. For outdoor use protect fresh bonds from rain until the skin has formed and the core has progressed in cure. Once fully cured, the bond resists normal weathering, splash water, and intermittent UV exposure based on the substrate and paint systems used. Clean up and finishing Remove fresh adhesive with suitable cleaner. Once cured, trim with a sharp blade using care. When cured, excess can be carefully trimmed or sanded. For painted finishes, allow the adhesive to fully cure before priming. Test paint on a small area to confirm compatibility and drying behaviour. Coverage guide Coverage varies with bead size, surface porosity, and technique. As a general guide, a 3 mm bead yields approximately 10 to 12 linear meters per 310 mL cartridge. Smaller packs scale proportionally. Gaps, rough edges, and highly absorbent materials will reduce coverage. Plan an extra margin for offcuts and practice passes. Tips for best results Work within the recommended open time so the adhesive can properly wet the surfaces. Use light clamping pressure to keep parts aligned while maintaining a film thickness for strength. For very porous substrates, apply a thin precoat as a primer layer and allow it to tack before final assembly. Keep joint lines clean by masking edges with painter tape and removing it before the adhesive skins. Where movement or vibration is expected, design the joint to share load across a large area. Troubleshooting Poor adhesion: Check for oil, release agents, or surface dust. Reclean and lightly abrade if necessary. Slow cure: Low temperature and low humidity extend cure time. Maintain moderate conditions for best results. Visible squeeze out: Wipe fresh material with a suitable solvent and a soft cloth. Once cured, trim carefully. Bond line prints through paint: Allow a full cure, then prime and apply thin coats of paint, allowing proper drying between coats. Storage and shelf life Store cartridges cool and dry. Check use by dates before installation in critical work. Always check the pack for a lot code and use by guidance. Reseal immediately after use and store upright. Dispose of empty containers responsibly. Safety Read the label before use. Wear gloves when handling uncured material. Provide ventilation in enclosed areas. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep out of reach of children and pets. If sensitivity occurs, stop use and seek advice. Do not ingest. First aid directions and detailed handling information are available on the package and the safety data sheet. Frequently asked questions Can I bond dissimilar materials? Yes, provided each surface is clean and sound. Differences in expansion are managed by the adhesive film thickness and the inherent flexibility after cure. Is clamping required? Light clamping improves alignment and final strength. Excessive pressure can starve the joint of adhesive which reduces performance. Is the bond water resistant? Once cured the bond resists splash water and routine humidity. For permanent immersion choose an adhesive designed for underwater service and follow the manufacturer guidance. Planning your job Measure twice and cut once. Dry assemble parts so you can confirm squareness and alignment before adhesive is involved. Keep rags, clamps, and spacers ready. If you are new to the product, test on offcuts to get a feel for bead size and squeeze out. A consistent 1 to 2 mm bond line is a good starting point for most rigid materials. Thicker lines help when surfaces are uneven. Avoid starving the joint by pressing too hard without giving the adhesive a place to reside. Responsible use Choose an adhesive that suits the materials and the environment the finished piece will face. If a joint will be submerged, carry structural loads, or be exposed to strong chemicals, check the technical data sheet for specific guidance. Many general purpose products are perfect for day to day work, while specialised tasks call for a system designed and tested for that environment. Using the right product first saves time, money, and rework. Aftercare and maintenance Adhesive joints are remarkably strong when used correctly. Design repairs so that routine loads are shared across a generous area. Where heavy vibration is present, pair the adhesive bond with appropriate mechanical fasteners. Keep cleaning chemicals mild, and avoid abrasive pads on visible joints. If a bond will be repainted, choose flexible paint where movement is expected, and keep edges sealed to prevent dirt tracking along the bond line. Recycling and disposal Allow empty containers to cure before disposal. Check local council guidance for recycling of plastics and metal cartridges. Never pour uncured product into drains or soil. Wipe tools on scrap material and let residue harden before placing in general waste. Smart handling keeps the workspace clean and reduces environmental impact.

Gorilla Original Gorilla Glue Minis Bonds Virtually Everything Water Proof x 4 tubes

Directions: Prepare and Dampen the Surfaces If you’re using Original Gorilla Glue for the first time, or bonding a new type of material, we always recommend trying a test piece first. Once the glue is dry, it is best removed mechanically: Try sanding, chiselling, scraping or picking. The dried glue will not damage tools.

For 2 oz. bottles, tightly replace the lid after wiping clean and store in a cool, dry place.

Interior and exterior Sauna or cabinet repairs in high heat areas Bonding Timber to other surfaces (metal etc) Cubby House with metal roof & floor lining Planter boxes Steps leading off a verandah Timber letterbox to a metal support frame Window frame Decorative timber to a pergola Interior panels of a boat Repairing wooden boat oars Repairing wooden handles on tools Timber joinery Laminating chopping boards Requires atmospheric moisture to cure, therefore use may be restricted in dry conditions (refer to tips for advice) Cannot be used if application temperature is below 5°C For best results, one surface should be porous Not suitable for below waterline applications or continuous submersion, for this we recommend Knead-It Aqua Not recommended for structural applications Not recommended for vertical projects due to runny consistency While Aquadhere Durabond can adhere to damp surfaces excess moisture can result in increased foaming and a weakened joint. Ensure tight clamping or weighting to reduce foaming Surfaces should be clamped tightly or weighted What materials is this product suitable for? MDF Glass Metal Concrete Ceramic Most plastics (will not adhere to polyethylene or polypropylene, test other plastics first). All timbers How to use this product Surfaces to be bonded must be close fitting, clean, dust and grease free. Wipe very dry porous surfaces with a damp cloth 1 minute before bonding. Apply a thin layer of adhesive evenly to one surface only. Glue expands and foams as it cures. Assemble parts together within 10 minutes and clamp firmly or weight to hold until cured. Wipe nozzle clean and seal container tightly. (to prevent remaining product from hardening in the container). Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately with acetone. After drying, any excess adhesive can only be removed by scraping, sanding, filing or cutting. Clean tools with acetone or white turpetine immediatly after use (before adhesive dries). Handy tips 1L covers approx. 8m2 It is advisable to wear gloves (adhesive bonds to skin and is extremely difficult to remove from skin). For bonding with smooth surface materials such as glass, plastics or metals, we suggested sanding or roughening the surface. The tighter you clamp, the better bond you will obtain (as Durabond expands). Wipe nozzle clean and seal container tightly. (to prevent remaining product from hardening in the container.) Wipe oily timber surfaces with acetone on a clean rag to remove any surface oils & allow to dry before applying adhesive. In extremely dry conditions or for extremely dry surfaces (eg terracotta) wipe surfaces with a damp rag prior to bonding to ensure sufficent moisture is present to cure product. Surfaces should not be wet. It is recommended to use the entire contents of a pack within 6 months of opening. Product may form a hard skin on the surface during this period. Usable material is normally still present beneath this skin and can be accessed by breaking the hardened layer. For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with mineral turpentine and then again with methylated spirits. If there is old, difficult to remove residue such as old paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as SELLEYS Kwik Strip Smart. Ensure the surface is dry before applying the product. If glue comes in contact with hands, use acetone or white spirits to remove immediately and then rinse off with soapy water followed by hand creme. Alternatively wipe hands regularly while using Aquadhere Durabond. Once cured, adhesive is extremely difficult to remove from skin. If cured material is discovered on the skin, then rub vegetable oil or Vitamin E cream into the area repeatedly to accelerate the natural process of the skin shedding, which will in turn cause the cured product to fall off. Safetytips Contains organic isocyanate polymers. On contact, uncured adhesive can irritate eyes. Avoid contact with skin, if contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing or flush skin and hair with running water. Avoid breathing vapours. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full details.Storage and re-use Clean tools with acetone or white spirit immediately after use (before adhesive dried). Storage – For maximum shelf life store inside at moderate temperatures in dry conditions. Keep tightly closed to prevent moisture and air contact. It is recommended to use the entire contents of a pack within 6 months of opening. Product may form a hard skin on the surface during this period. Usable material is normally still present beneath this skin and can be accessed by breaking the hardened layer.materials other than wood.

Metal needs an etching primer. All substrates should be primed with a suitable Sika primer before the membrane goes on.How to use itPrepare the substrate so it is sound, clean and primed. New render or screed needs a wood float finish and should cure before you start. Where falls are not already in place, form them with a sand and cement screed first. Apply the membrane by brush or roller in a minimum of two coats to reach a 1mm dry film. Each coat should go on at a wet film thickness of at least 0.75mm. Let the first coat dry for about 1 to 2 hours, then apply the second coat at 90 degrees to the first. Add further coats if needed to reach the minimum dry film thickness. Tools can be cleaned with water while the product is still wet. Tile over the cured membrane using a Sika polymer-modified cement-based tile adhesive.Important notesAllow about 6 to 8 hours before tiling or applying other finishes. Allow 3 days before flood testing and 5 days before the area returns to service. Drying times vary with temperature, humidity and film thickness. The membrane is not designed to be left exposed, so it must be covered with a finish. Follow the current Sika data sheet for primer selection, bond breakers, corners and joints, and for any movement joints. Sika SikaBond T-55(J) is a one-component, elastic polyurethane adhesive for fully bonding solid and engineered timber floors, supplied here as a single 600ml foil pack for smaller flooring jobs and repairs. It spreads easily, stays flexible once cured and helps take the stress out of the bond between the timber and the substrate, which suits floors that need to move a little with the seasons.About the formulaA moisture-curing polyurethane that cures by reacting with humidity in the air, so it needs reasonable ambient moisture to set properly. The cured adhesive is elastic and dampens footfall sound. It is sandable along with the floor, and Sika rates it as low in VOCs. It is approved for use over underfloor heating and can be applied directly onto old ceramic tiles, which can save you from ripping up an existing tiled floor first (do a preliminary adhesion test on glazed tiles).Where to use itIndoors: full-surface bonding of solid timber and engineered timber floors, parquetry and strip panels, mosaic and industrial parquet, and chipboard, over concrete, cement-based screeds, timber subfloors and old ceramic tiles. It can also be used as an underlay layer before timber flooring is laid.Outdoors: not intended for outdoor use, and it is not rated as UV or weather resistant.Suitable substrates include concrete, cement-based floors, chipboard, timber subfloors and ceramic tiles. Sika notes that ground-floor slabs and areas without a damp-proof membrane need moisture protection first (see important notes below). How to use itMake sure the substrate is clean, dry, sound and free of dust, contamination and old coatings or adhesives. Check the substrate moisture content before you start and prime or seal where required. Load the foil pack into a suitable application gun, snip the end and cut the nozzle tip to suit, then lay the adhesive over the floor and spread it evenly with a notched trowel. Sika's current data sheet lists coverage of roughly 600 to 1000 g per square metre depending on the trowel notch and the flooring type. Use a larger notch for long or wide boards and uneven substrates so you get a continuous bed with no hollow spots. Press the timber firmly into the adhesive while it is still wet and keep a 10 to 15mm expansion gap to the walls. Clean tools while the adhesive is uncured, using Sika Remover-208 or Sika Colma Cleaner. Cured adhesive can only be removed mechanically.Important notesSika's data sheet states this product is only suitable for use by professional wood floor applicators. Apply and lay within roughly 15 to 35 degrees ambient and substrate temperature (20 to 35 degrees with underfloor heating), with relative humidity of about 40 to 70 percent. Keep the adhesive at or above 15 degrees for good workability. The floor can be walked on after about 12 hours and sanded after about 24 hours, depending on conditions and adhesive thickness. Do not expose uncured adhesive to alcohol-containing products, as they interfere with curing. Where a ground-floor slab or other area has no damp-proof membrane, follow Sika's moisture-barrier recommendations (Sika Primer MB or MR Fast, or Sikafloor EpoCem) before laying timber. Follow the flooring manufacturer's own installation guidelines as well.Specifications Brand Sika Product SikaBond T-55(J) Elastic Wood Flooring Adhesive Pack 1 x 600ml foil pack Colour Ochre Base 1-component polyurethane, moisture curing Application Foil pack via application gun, spread with a notched trowel Skin / laying time About 60 minutes at 23 degrees and 50% RH Cure rate About 3mm per 24 hours at 23 degrees and 50% RH Walk on / sand After about 12 hours / 24 hours Coverage About 600 to 1000 g per m2, depending on trowel and flooring type Density About 1.35 kg/l Shore A hardness About 38 after 28 days Shelf life 12 months from production, unopened and stored correctly Storage Dry, out of direct sunlight, 5 to 25 degrees Use Interior only SafetyIt contains small amounts (under 1 percent) of isocyanates, so avoid skin contact and breathing vapour, and keep the product away from heat, sparks and open flames. Soudal Genius Gun Gap Filling Expanding Foam is a one-handed, ready-to-use polyurethane foam for filling gaps, holes and joints while adding thermal and acoustic insulation, supplied here as a single 500ml can. The applicator trigger is built into the can, so there is no need to buy a separate foam gun, and the can can be put away part-used and picked up again on the next job.About the formulaA one-component, moisture-curing polyurethane foam with a stable, thixotropic body that stays where you put it. A built-in trigger and straw let you control the amount you dispense, and the resealable applicator keeps the can usable for up to 6 weeks after first use. Once cured it is light, sound-reducing and chemically inert, with minimal shrinkage and very little post-expansion. Manufacturer data lists a free-foamed density of about 25 kg/m³, sound insulation of 58 dB and thermal conductivity of 0.037 W/m.K. One 500ml can yields roughly 19 litres of free foam, or about 17 metres of joint fill. The foam is champagne in colour and is not UV resistant, so exposed foam needs a protective finish.Where to use itIndoors: filling gaps around door and window frames, sealing pipe and cable penetrations, closing holes and cavities in walls and ceilings, cutting down draughts and thermal bridges, and adding a sound-deadening layer.Outdoors: sealing gaps and openings in roof constructions and around frames and penetrations. Cover the cured foam with paint, plaster or sealant to protect it from UV light.Suitable materials include brick, concrete, masonry, timber, metals and most plastics, as well as most other common building materials. It does not bond to polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) or PTFE. Run a quick adhesion test on unusual substrates first. How to use it Make sure surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust and grease, then lightly mist them with water to help the foam cure. Shake the can hard for at least 20 seconds, then open the cover and fold the tube out horizontally. Turn the can over and squeeze the trigger to dispense. Fill holes and cavities only about one third full, as the foam expands a lot as it cures. Shake the can again every so often while you work. For deep voids, build up in layers and moisten between each layer. When you finish, detach the bung, plug the nozzle with it, close the cap and store the can upright. Once fully cured, trim the foam with a sharp knife, then sand, paint, plaster or cover with sealant as needed. Important notesWipe off uncured foam straight away with Soudal Gun and Foam Cleaner or acetone, and test the cleaner on plastics, lacquer and paint first as they can be affected. Cured foam can only be removed mechanically or with a PU foam remover, and it must never be burned off. Use the product between roughly +5°C and +30°C. Skin forms in about 7 minutes and the foam can be cut after about 25 minutes (manufacturer figures, measured under standard test conditions, so real-world times vary with temperature, humidity and bead size). Cured foam is not UV resistant. Do not use it near electrical boxes or light fittings without checking the clearance guidance. Unopened cans keep for at least 12 months when stored upright in a cool, dry place at +5°C to +25°C.Specifications Brand Soudal Product Genius Gun Gap Filling Expanding Foam Manufacturer code 132272 Pack 1 x 500ml aerosol can Colour Champagne Base One-component polyurethane, moisture curing Application Built-in Genius Gun trigger applicator, one-handed Reusable Up to 6 weeks after first use Skin formation About 7 minutes Cutting time About 25 minutes Yield (500ml) About 19 L of free foam, about 17 m of joint fill Shrinkage after curing Under 3% Expansion after curing Under 1% Temperature resistance (cured) -40°C to +90°C, up to 120°C for a maximum of 1 hour Can size 65 x 65 x 315mm Use Interior and exterior (protect from UV) SafetyThis is a pressurised aerosol with flammable propellant and contains isocyanates. In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Bostik Fill It Expanda Foam is a one-component, multipurpose polyurethane expanding foam for sealing, filling, bonding and insulating in a single step, supplied here in a 500ml aerosol can with a straw applicator. It expands to take up gaps and cavities of many sizes, then cures into an airtight, moisture-resistant seal that is designed not to shrink away from the surrounding surface.About the formulaA moisture-curing polyurethane foam that is ozone safe and has a mostly closed-cell structure, so it insulates against both heat and cold. Once cured it can be cut, sanded, plastered or painted to a neat finish. The included straw applicator lets you place foam into tight or awkward spots and apply it at any angle. The foam is not UV stable, so cured foam left exposed to sunlight should be painted.Where to use itIndoors: filling gaps and cavities around window and door frames, insulating around pipes, cutting down draughts, dust and noise, and adding a sound-absorbing layer or acoustic baffle.Outdoors: sealing openings in roof construction, filling larger holes and gaps in exterior walls, and helping to keep out insects and rodents (paint exposed cured foam).Suitable materials include concrete, brick, stone, plaster, timber and metal, as well as many plastics such as EPS, XPS, rigid PU foam and uPVC. It is not suitable for polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polycarbonate (PC), PMMA, PTFE, soft plastics, neoprene or bituminous surfaces. How to use itMake sure surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust, grease and loose material. Apply within the temperature range given on the can (+5°C to +35°C). Fit the straw applicator, shake the can well as directed on the label, and fill gaps only part-way, because the foam expands as it cures. Follow the label and Safety Data Sheet for cleaning up uncured foam. Once cured, trim any excess by cutting or sanding, then paint, plaster or finish as required.Important notesDo not use where the foam will sit under a permanent water load, or in cavities that are too dry to supply the moisture needed for curing. The foam is moisture-curing, so cure time varies with temperature, humidity and the surface. Typical values at 20°C and 60% relative humidity are a skin time of about 8 to 12 minutes and a cure of around 1 hour for a 30mm bead. Uncured foam can stick firmly to skin and clothing, so keep it off both while working.Specifications Brand Bostik Product Fill It Expanda Foam Multipurpose Polyurethane Expanding Foam Pack 500ml aerosol can with straw applicator Colour Off-white Base One-component, moisture-curing polyurethane foam Application Aerosol can with straw applicator Application temperature +5°C to +35°C Skin time About 8 to 12 minutes at 20°C and 60% RH Cure rate About 1 hour for a 30mm bead at 20°C and 60% RH Temperature resistance (cured) -40°C to +90°C continuous Use Interior and exterior SafetyUse in a well-ventilated area, keep away from heat, sparks and open flames, and do not pierce or burn the can, even when empty. Parfix Foam Fill Triple Expanding Filler is a polyurethane foam in a 750g aerosol can, made for packing out large gaps, cracks and cavities in and around the home. It expands well beyond its sprayed volume to fill irregular voids, then cures to a durable, water resistant foam that bonds to most common building surfaces.About the formulaA one-part polyurethane foam based on an isocyanate (MDI) prepolymer, supplied in a pressurised can. Once cured it is a firm, shrink resistant foam that can be cut, sanded and painted. Cured foam is not UV resistant, so exposed outdoor areas should be painted or covered.Where to use itIndoors: gaps around pipes and cable penetrations, cracks and holes in walls, and cavities around frames and fittings.Outdoors: holes and gaps in brickwork and other building surfaces, protected from direct sunlight once cured.Suitable for most building surfaces, including timber, metal, brick, stone and other masonry. Test on a small hidden area first if you are unsure about a particular material. How to use itWear gloves and safety glasses and work in a well ventilated area. Make sure surfaces are clean and free of loose material, dust and grease. Follow the directions printed on the can for shaking, nozzle attachment and application. Because this foam expands strongly, fill the gap only partly and allow room for growth rather than over-filling. Once fully cured, trim any excess with a knife or saw, then sand or paint as required. Uncured foam is best wiped off straight away with a suitable cleaner as directed on the can. Cured foam must be cut or sanded off.Important notesNot UV resistant, so paint or coat any foam that will be exposed to sunlight. Take care not to over-fill, as expanding foam can distort thin frames, door jambs and window casings. Keep the can away from heat, flames and sources of ignition. Check the can label for temperature range, cure times and further directions, as these are not covered in the product data we hold.Specifications Brand Parfix Product Foam Fill Triple Expanding Filler Pack 750g aerosol can Colour Off white / yellow Base Polyurethane (isocyanate-based) Application Aerosol can Finishing Can be cut, sanded and painted Shrink resistant Yes UV resistant No Use Interior and exterior SafetyUse only in well ventilated areas, wear gloves and eye protection, avoid breathing vapour and wash hands after use. Bostik Bostik Ultraset SF Pro Solvent Free Polyurethane Flooring Adhesive 600ml Sausage

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Bostik Ultraset SF Pro is a ready-to-use, solvent-free polyurethane adhesive for fixing timber flooring, supplied here as a single 600ml sausage pack. It is an elastomeric, one-part formula made for fitting parquet, solid strip, engineered, bamboo and sheet timber flooring to flat concrete or timber subfloors, or over an existing floor.About the formulaA one-part, moisture-curing polyurethane with no solvent and a zero VOC rating. There is no mixing, and it spreads easily. It stays flexible after full cure, so the bond can move with the timber, and it is suitable over radiant heating. Bostik also lists good acoustic properties, and the product is made in Australia. The technical data sheet notes testing to ASTM C794 for peel adhesion on a range of Australian hardwoods. It also notes that the product meets EN 14293:2006 for adhesives bonding parquet to a subfloor. Bostik quotes a Shore A hardness of about 52 and a timber-to-timber shear strength of 1.4 N/mm2 (2mm bond line, BS EN 14293).Where to use itIndoors: direct-stick installation of timber floors over flat concrete or timber subfloors, or over existing floors, in residential and commercial settings. It can also fix recommended acoustic underlays as an intermediate layer between the subfloor and the flooring.Outdoors: not intended for exterior use.Suitable flooring types include parquet, solid strip, engineered, bamboo and sheet timber systems. How to use itSurfaces must be clean, dry, sound and free of voids, curing compounds, loose material, oil and grease. The subfloor should be flat to within 3mm over a 3m straightedge. If it is out of tolerance, prime and level it first using Bostik's recommended primer and levelling compound, and follow their data sheets. Spread the adhesive evenly so the film is not patchy and has no pinholes. The data sheet calls for a wet film thickness above 300 microns. Lay the flooring in line with the timber manufacturer's installation instructions. Where a vapour barrier is needed over a new or green slab, Bostik's Ultraseal Vapour Barrier is the recommended option.Important notesThe adhesive needs atmospheric moisture to cure. In low humidity (below 40%), check with Bostik technical services before you start. Do not use it as a waterproofing membrane. Do not install it over wet, contaminated or friable surfaces, and keep it away from water exposure. Allow timber to acclimatise and leave expansion gaps as the timber manufacturer or installation standard requires. Dense, burnished concrete may need abrading first. Cure and walk-on times depend on temperature, humidity and film thickness, so check the current data sheet for your job. A sausage gun is needed to dispense the 600ml foil pack, and it is not included.Specifications Brand Bostik Product Ultraset SF Pro Solvent Free Polyurethane Timber Flooring Adhesive Pack 1 x 600ml sausage Base One-part, solvent-free, moisture-curing polyurethane (elastomeric) VOC Zero VOC Application Sausage gun, spread with a notched trowel Shore A hardness Approx. 52 Shear strength (timber to timber, 2mm) 1.4 N/mm2 (BS EN 14293) Standards Tested to ASTM C794; meets EN 14293:2006 Use Interior timber flooring, including over radiant heating Origin Made in Australia SafetyBostik describes it as solvent-free and non-flammable. Selleys Aquadhere Durabond is a solvent-free, moisture-curing polyurethane wood glue for jobs that need more durability than a standard PVA can offer, supplied here in a 250ml bottle. It bonds timber to a wide range of other materials, copes with moisture and heat, and can be sanded, painted or stained once cured.About the formulaUnlike water-based PVA glues, Durabond cures by reacting with moisture in the air and the substrate. It gives a strong, water-resistant bond (not intended for permanent immersion) and is heat resistant up to about 140°C. The glue expands slightly as it cures, which helps it fill small gaps in imperfect joints. It also sands without clogging sandpaper or timber the way PVA glues can. Selleys notes it resists acids and most chemicals, unlike PVA-based glues.Where to use itIndoors: furniture making and repairs, timber joinery, cabinet repairs, sauna or other high-heat and high-moisture areas, repairing wooden tool handles, and general workshop fixes.Outdoors: planter boxes, steps off a veranda, window repairs, attaching a timber letterbox to a metal support frame, cubby or kennel repairs, and boat oar or interior panel repairs.Suitable materials include all timbers, MDF, metal, glass, concrete, masonry, ceramics and most plastics. It is not for polyethylene or polypropylene, and you should test other plastics first. How to use itSurfaces should fit closely and be clean, dry of dust and free of grease. At least one surface should be porous, as the glue needs moisture to cure. On very dry porous surfaces, wipe with a damp cloth for about a minute before bonding. Wear gloves, because the adhesive bonds to skin. Apply to the joint, bring the parts together within the working time and clamp them while the glue cures. Once cured, the joint can be sanded, and the surface can be painted or stained after sanding.Important notesWorking time is about 10 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity. Allow around 4 hours of clamp time. Full cure takes up to 24 hours, depending on humidity and how porous the material is. Do not apply below 5°C. Use may be restricted in very dry conditions because the glue needs atmospheric moisture to cure. It is not recommended for structural applications. The bond is waterproof but not for permanent water immersion.Specifications Brand Selleys Product Aquadhere Durabond Polyurethane Wood Glue Pack 250ml bottle Colour Amber, dries to a yellow opaque finish Base Solvent-free, moisture-curing polyurethane Application Bottle, applied by hand Working time About 10 minutes Clamp time About 4 hours Full cure Up to 24 hours Minimum application temperature Above 5°C Heat resistance Up to 140°C Use Interior and exterior SafetyUse with adequate ventilation. Selleys Flexiseal FC is a fast-curing polyurethane sealant and adhesive in white, supplied here as a 600ml sausage for sealing and bonding jobs around the building site or the house. It does two jobs in one product: it seals joints between common building materials and bonds them, and it stays flexible enough to cope with the movement those joints see through the seasons.About the formulaA single-component polyurethane with a non-slumping body, so it stays put in vertical joints instead of sagging. It is designed to grip common building surfaces without a primer, cures to a waterproof, flexible seal and can be painted once cured. Selleys rates it for joint movement of around plus or minus 25%.Where to use itIndoors: joints between wall and ceiling elements, around door and window frames, and acoustic rated walls, plus general bonding of building materials.Outdoors: weatherproofing joints between brickwork, masonry, concrete, timber or metal frames, sealing around roofing, retaining walls, external wall and cladding joints, and expansion joints.Suitable materials include concrete, brick, masonry, ceramic tile, metals, softwood and hardwood, plus some plastics (test other plastics and rubber first). How to use itMake sure the joint is clean, dry and free of dust, oil and other contaminants, and use a backing rod in deeper joints. Cut the end of the sausage, load it into a sausage-style applicator gun and extrude the sealant so it makes full contact with both sides of the joint, avoiding trapped air. Tool the surface smooth with a spatula before a skin forms. Once cured, it can be painted. For outdoor work, a suitable exterior paint will help the finish last longer.Important notesWill not adhere to polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) or PTFE. Do not apply when the air or surface temperature is below 5°C. Not suitable for permanent water immersion or below water line use. Not intended for structural applications or general glazing. Avoid alcohol and solvent cleaners on the sealant while it cures, as they can interfere with the cure. Very damp substrates can cause bubbling in the sealant. It may affect the drying of oil or alkyd based paints, so test paint compatibility first. White sealant can yellow slightly with age and sun exposure. Store unopened sausages below 30°C in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, where they keep for around 12 months from manufacture. Opened sausages may skin over near the opening, so discard any lump or skin before using the rest.Specifications Brand Selleys Product Flexiseal FC Polyurethane Sealant & Adhesive Size 600ml sausage Colour White Base Polyurethane (single component) Application Sausage, via sausage gun Joint movement capability Plus or minus 25% Minimum application temperature 5°C Shelf life (unopened) About 12 months below 30°C Use Interior and exterior SafetyPolyurethane products can still irritate the skin, eyes and airways, so wear gloves and safety glasses, work with good ventilation and avoid prolonged skin contact. • Crommelin One Coat Rapid Under-Tile Waterproofing Membrane 1L pail Crommelin One Coat Rapid Under-Tile Waterproofing Membrane 1L (Grey) (2)

Crommelin Crommelin One Coat Rapid Under-Tile Waterproofing Membrane 1L (Grey)

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Crommelin One Coat Rapid is a heavy-duty, liquid-applied waterproofing membrane that goes down before tiling, supplied here in a 1L pail for showers, laundries and other small wet-area jobs. It is a polyurethane-modified grey membrane that cures into a seamless, flexible layer under tile, so there are no laps or joins in the finished surface.About the formulaThe membrane is polyurethane modified for high flexibility and reinforced for strength and durability. Crommelin states it stretches by more than 300% and stays flexible over time, which helps it cope with minor substrate movement. It dries to a keyed, slightly textured surface that gives cement-based tile adhesive something to grip. It is made to be used with cement-based tile adhesives that comply with AS 2358, and it is designed to meet AS 4858 and AS 3740. It is water based, so tools clean up with water.Where to use itIndoors: showers, bathrooms, laundries and kitchens, on both walls and floors, before tiling.Outdoors: balconies, patios and podiums under tile, where the membrane is covered by the tile finish.Suitable substrates include concrete, cement render and screeds, plasterboard and wet-area plasterboard, suitably prepared compressed fibre cement sheet, timber, plywood, wet-area particleboard and steel. How to use itSurfaces need to be sound, clean and dry, with loose or crumbling material removed first. New concrete should have cured for at least 28 days before coating. Where the manufacturer's data sheet calls for a surface primer, use a 1:1 dilution of the membrane with water and let it dry. On walls, one coat is enough, and Crommelin quotes coverage of up to 2m² per litre. Floors need more material per square metre, and complex or irregular surfaces may need extra coats, so check the technical data sheet for your job. Allow good airflow while it cures. Once the membrane has cured, a flood test is described in the manufacturer's data sheet: water about 25mm deep for 2 hours, removed straight afterwards. Clean tools with water before the membrane dries. Uncured material can be removed with warm water and detergent.Important notesThis membrane is not designed to go directly onto white-set plaster. Prime that surface first with a coat of Crommelin Next Day New Concrete Sealer and let it dry. Full cure takes about 7 days. Re-coat and cure times get longer in cold, humid or still conditions. Tile over the membrane so it is not left exposed. Waterproofing wet areas is regulated work in many parts of Australia, so check local requirements and follow the manufacturer's full instructions.Specifications Brand Crommelin Product One Coat Rapid Under-tile Waterproofing Membrane Pack 1L pail Colour Grey Base Polyurethane-modified, liquid applied, water clean up Elongation Over 300% Coverage Up to 2m² per litre (see data sheet for floors and irregular surfaces) Full cure About 7 days Standards Designed to comply with AS 4858 and AS 3740 Use Interior and exterior under-tile applications SafetyUse it with good general ventilation, avoid prolonged skin and eye contact, and wash your hands after use. • Packshot of SikaBond High-Strength Foam Construction Adhesive 750 mL

Sika SikaBond High-Strength Foam Construction Adhesive 750 mL

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

SikaBond High-Strength Foam Construction Adhesive 750 mL is a reliable one component foam construction adhesive dispensed from a can chosen for home repairs, trade work, and craft builds when you want a bond you can trust. Designed for Australian conditions, it balances strength, ease of use, and clean application so you can get professional results without special tools. The 750 mL pack is ideal for general work and keeps neatly in a toolbox or caddy. Why choose Sika High-Strength for your next project Everyday jobs often involve mixed materials and imperfect surfaces. SikaBond High-Strength Foam Construction Adhesive 750 mL has been formulated to wet out well, grab quickly, and cure to a tough finish that resists movement and contact stress. It maintains bond integrity across common temperature swings and has dependable resistance to moisture and most household chemicals. Whether you are fixing, building, sealing, or assembling, this product gives you confidence from first squeeze through final set. Best for Fixing studs, battens, and sheets Filling small gaps while bonding Fast installation where speed saves labour Suitable surfaces The adhesive works well on the following surface types when properly prepared: Timber and masonry Concrete and fibre cement Many building materials except PE and PP Surface preparation Good preparation is the key to a long lasting repair. Remove loose material, dust, and grease. Wipe glossy areas with methylated spirits or an approved cleaner and allow to dry. On very smooth plastics and metals, lightly roughen with fine abrasive paper to give the adhesive a mechanical key. Dry fit parts first and mark alignment points so you can assemble accurately within the open time. If bonding porous materials, ensure both faces are dry and free of surface chalking. How to use Check fit and plan clamping. Do a trial run without adhesive so you know the order of steps. Apply a thin, continuous bead to one surface. For wide pieces, use a zig zag pattern to maximise wetting. Bring surfaces together within the stated open time of assemble parts within the open time to ensure a strong bond. Cure profile Expands slightly to fill gaps, then cures to a firm, high strength foam. Provides excellent initial grab and reduces the need for nails in many applications. Temperature and environmental performance Apply within the can's specified temperature range. Humidity supports foam curing. Clean up and finishing Clean uncured foam with the prescribed cleaner. Once cured, cut back mechanically. Storage and shelf life Store cans upright. Do not expose to heat. Observe transport and disposal rules for pressurised containers.
