DeWalt PURE500+ is a high strength, two-component epoxy chemical anchor for fixing threaded rod and reinforcing bar into concrete, supplied here as a single 585ml 3:1 cartridge with a mixing nozzle. It is built for engineered, load-bearing fixings in cracked and uncracked concrete, and it also suits post-installed rebar connections where new steel needs to tie into existing concrete.About the formulaPURE500+ is a pure epoxy that you mix as it is dispensed. The cartridge holds the two parts at a 3:1 ratio, and they blend inside the nozzle so every bead is correctly proportioned. DeWalt describes it as a low odour formula with a relatively long working time. It is slow setting, even at higher temperatures. It is approved for water-filled holes and for diamond cored holes, and it is also approved for overhead installation. The manufacturer lists a 100-year design life and a 24-month storage life. Clean the hole thoroughly using the method that guide specifies (brushing and blowing out). Fit the supplied mixing nozzle to the cartridge, load it into a compatible 3:1 dispenser and discard the first portion until the colour is even and streak free. Fill the hole from the bottom to avoid trapped air, then push in the clean rod or bar with a slight twist. Hold the element in place and leave it undisturbed through the gel time. Do not load, torque or fix to the anchor until the full cure time has passed.Important notesWorking and cure times depend on the temperature of the concrete. DeWalt's published figures for dry concrete are about 90 minutes of working time and 144 hours cure at 0 to 4°C, 30 minutes and 12 hours at 20 to 24°C, and 8 minutes and 4 hours at 40°C. Bonds metals, ceramics, concrete, fibreglass, marble and wood. Syringe dispenser accurately measures equal amounts of resin and hardener to prevent wastage. Fast curing, cure commences in five minutes and reaches full cure in one hour. When cured, the bond is transparent and virtually colourless. Loctite 5 Minute Epoxy Adhesive's premium formulation is solvent-free and 100% solids providing a non-shrink, environmentally friendly bond. High viscosity provides a good gap-filling ability. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: 1. Surfaces must be clean and dry. If possible, roughen surface with sandpaper to improve keying and bonding. 2. Cut tips of twin nozzle with a sharp knife and remove nozzle cap from syringe plunger. 3. Push the twin plunger to squeeze out equal amounts of resin and hardener in the amounts required. 4. Mix the resin and hardener for one or two minutes until the colour is completely uniform. 5. Apply immediately to both surfaces and press together. Pressure clamping is not necessary, but allow the adhesive to set for at least 5 minutes before moving. Remove any excess adhesive immediately. 6. Important.
