Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before product hardens. Handy tips Ensure the putty and hardener are mixed properly. Knead-It will become warm as it is mixed, A good indication its mixed properly is when you have a uniform colour and feel a mild heat radiating from the knead-it. To help determine when your knead it has set, keep a small piece off to check- when it is hard, it indicates your job is done. Use Knead-It Aqua for applications in wet/ submerged areas. Use Knead-It Steel for applications on metal or fuel contact For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with mineral turpentine and then again with methylated spirits. If there is old, difficult to remove residue such as old paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as SELLEYS Kwik Strip Smart. Ensure the surface is dry before applying the product Keep a canister of SELLEYS Sugar Soap Wipes nearby for a quick and effective cleanup Safety tips Where possible wear protective gloves when using Knead-It Multi-Purpose. Contact with skin may result in irritation. Epoxy resin is a known skin sensitiser. Repeated or prolonged skin contact may lead to allergic contact dermatitis. If redness or swelling of the skin occurs, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Seek medical attention if in any doubt. Mixed and cured material is not hazardous. Cured material can only be removed by cutting and abrasion. If cured on the skin, it will peel off in a few days without assistance. Soaking in warm water will assist removal. Storage and re-use Replace silver disc to seal ends and keep in a cool dry place.

Will not adhere to concrete, cement products, zinc or copper containing metals, marble, limestone or lead. Can not be painted over. Not suitable for use on oily woods such as cypress, teak or cedar. Not suitable for use on roofs and gutters as it will cause corrosion. Use SELLEYS Roof and Gutter Silicone. Not for use on polyethylene, polypropylene or Teflon. Pre-test plastics before use. What materials is this product suitable for? Glass Aluminium Stainless Steel Many plastics including polystyrene Most woods Rubber/ canvas Glazed ceramics & porcelain How to use this product Thoroughly clean and dry surface from oil, dirt and grease with Mineral Turpentine firstly and then Methylated Spirits. Allow drying completely before applying silicone. If there is old silicone which needs to be removed, we recommend using SELLEYS SILICONE REMOVER, this ingenious product makes removing old silicone easy. Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. Cut the seal at the top of the cartridge and cut the nozzle at a 45° angle, to the size of the gap opening. Fit the nozzle to the top of the cartridge. Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking gun. We recommend SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking Gun, as its new innovative pressure release design reduces the mess which results from run on and stress on your hands, which is critical if you are doing a lot of sealing. Hold the caulking gun at a 45° angle. Press the nozzle opening against the joint, apply steady pressure to the caulking gun and extrude the silicone sealant forcing the sealant into the gap and move in a pushing motion, along the joint in one smooth action. For a smooth finish, smooth with a finger dipped in mineral turpetine or for a professional finish use a paint scraper such as a 50mm ROTA COTA Soft Grip Scraper dipped in mineral turpetine. Excess sealant must be cleaned up before the sealant skins in 5-10 minutes. Wipe excess away with a cloth dampened in mineral turpetine or use a SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipe. Remove tape before the sealant skins. Clean tools immediately in mineral turpetine. Avoid smearing on surrounding surfaces, see handy tip. Sealant will cure fully in 72 hours. As this point, any unwanted sealant can be removed by trimming with a sharp blade but avoid undercutting the seal. For aquariums, allow the product to fully cure for 7 days. Prior to usage, thoroughly wash out with water, drain and refill before introducing fish. Suitable for constructing and repairing small aquariums. The specialist design required for large tanks. Contact SELLEYS if unsure. Handy tips Tips for Using a Silicone Sealant on Glass Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. The depth of the sealant should be no more than 10mm in joints. To fill larger joints use a suitable backing rod (such as closed cell polyethylene foam or similar), leaving the gap depth no larger than half the width of the joint. When first applying product, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of silicone sealant. Remove the tape before the silicone sealant skins. For a better finish complete painting prior to use of the sealant as it can not be painted over. For a better finish, use a spatula dipped in mineral turpetine or detergent and water to tool off the sealant. Work in sections that can be completed before sealant skins. Tooling off and tape removal must be completed before skinning occurs or a rough surface may result, so working in sections allows for a better finish. Keep a pack of SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipes handy to wipe up any spills and for cleaning any material off the skin before it cures. They are an easy and effective way to keep clean on the job. Safety tips Uncured product may irritate eyes. If in eyes, flood the eyes for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice. Avoid contact with skin, if contact occurs, wipe off immediately and wash with detergent. It may irritate sensitive skin. Avoid breathing in vapours. Ensure you use a well-ventilated area as product releases acetic acid while curing. For advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre (AUS 131 126; NZ 0800 764 766) or a doctor. For further detail on the safe use of this product, please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet, which can be downloaded from this site. Keep away from children. Storage and re-use Store in cool dry conditions, below 30°C The sealant should be used within 6 months after opening. After use, keep the nozzle on the cartridge. Silicone is a reactive product and is designed to cure once exposed to humidity. While the product may be stored for a few months once opened, it does have a limited shelf life. Storage in an upright position in a cool dry place is recommended to maximise the storage life. If the sealant is going to be used again within a few days, leave the nozzle on and merely extrude approximately 2 cm of the product before storing the cartridge upright. This will cure to a plug which can easily be pulled out when required. For longer storage periods, leave the nozzle on and place a piece of plasticene or Blu Tack over the end of the nozzle. Tightly tape a piece of aluminium foil over the whole nozzle to exclude any air. When you want to re-use the product, simply take off the foil and plug from the old nozzle pull out the excess silicone from the nozzle with a corkscrew, then re-pierce any cure at the tip of the cartridge and re-use. If cure has taken place into the cartridge, the product is unlikely to be in a useable state and should be discarded.

Specifications Application Temperature Above 50 °F (≈ 10 °C) Service Temperature Continuous up to 194 °F (≈ 90 °C); intermittent up to 302 °F (≈ 150 °C) Outdoor Rated Yes Moisture Resistant Yes Storage Cool, dry place at 64 to 72 °F (≈ 18 to 22 °C), 30 to 70% RH FAQs Is Gorilla Mounting Tape food safe? No. It is not recommended for direct or indirect food contact. How do I remove Gorilla Mounting Tape? This is a permanent tape and may cause surface damage on removal. First remove the mounted object by gently prying from a corner. Then slowly stretch the tape parallel to the surface to lift it away. Will it work on plastic, vinyl, or rubber? It adheres to many plastics, but not to low surface energy plastics such as polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP), and may not adhere to certain rubbers with high oil or plasticizer content. How do I remove the liner? After applying tape to the object, lift the clear liner from a corner using a fingernail, the edge of packaging, or a blade. You can also pinch and stretch a corner of the tape at about a 40 degree angle until the liner lifts. Always clean and dry surfaces before application. Test first on delicate surfaces. Not recommended for wallpaper, poorly bonded paint, or other fragile finishes.

    Selleys Tarzan’s Grip Multi-Purpose General Adhesive 250 g

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Tarzan’s Grip Multi-Purpose General Adhesive 250 g is a reliable versatile contact style adhesive for crafts and household fixes chosen for home repairs, trade work, and craft builds when you want a bond you can trust. Designed for Australian conditions, it balances strength, ease of use, and clean application so you can get professional results without special tools. The 250 g pack is ideal for general work and keeps neatly in a toolbox or caddy. Why choose Tarzan's Grip Grip for your next project Everyday jobs often involve mixed materials and imperfect surfaces. Tarzan’s Grip Multi-Purpose General Adhesive 250 g has been formulated to wet out well, grab quickly, and cure to a tough finish that resists movement and contact stress. It maintains bond integrity across common temperature swings and has dependable resistance to moisture and most household chemicals. Whether you are fixing, building, sealing, or assembling, this product gives you confidence from first squeeze through final set. Best for Bonding fabric, leather, and rubber General craft builds Light repairs around the home Suitable surfaces The adhesive works well on the following surface types when properly prepared: Leather and canvas Rubber trim Timber and some plastics Card and foam board Surface preparation Good preparation is the key to a long lasting repair. Remove loose material, dust, and grease. Wipe glossy areas with methylated spirits or an approved cleaner and allow to dry. On very smooth plastics and metals, lightly roughen with fine abrasive paper to give the adhesive a mechanical key. Dry fit parts first and mark alignment points so you can assemble accurately within the open time. If bonding porous materials, ensure both faces are dry and free of surface chalking. How to use Check fit and plan clamping. Do a trial run without adhesive so you know the order of steps. Apply a thin, continuous bead to one surface. For wide pieces, use a zig zag pattern to maximise wetting. Bring surfaces together within the stated open time of allow adhesive to tack before assembly as directed on pack. Reseat once if needed, then hold steady. Apply even pressure using clamps, tape, weights, or temporary fasteners. Avoid squeezing all adhesive out of the joint. Allow to cure undisturbed. Initial handling strength will develop as the adhesive sets, with a full cure reached based on the chemistry described below. Cure profile Forms a tough, flexible bond after solvent evaporation and cure. Press parts together firmly for best adhesion. Temperature and environmental performance Keep away from flames and high heat during application. Once cured, it resists typical temperatures. Avoid application to very cold, sweating, or waterlogged surfaces. For outdoor use protect fresh bonds from rain until the skin has formed and the core has progressed in cure. Once fully cured, the bond resists normal weathering, splash water, and intermittent UV exposure based on the substrate and paint systems used. Clean up and finishing Use appropriate solvent on uncured adhesive, working in a ventilated space. When cured, excess can be carefully trimmed or sanded. For painted finishes, allow the adhesive to fully cure before priming. Test paint on a small area to confirm compatibility and drying behaviour. Coverage guide Coverage varies with bead size, surface porosity, and technique. As a general guide, a 3 mm bead yields approximately 10 to 12 linear meters per 310 mL cartridge. Smaller packs scale proportionally. Gaps, rough edges, and highly absorbent materials will reduce coverage. Plan an extra margin for offcuts and practice passes. Tips for best results Work within the recommended open time so the adhesive can properly wet the surfaces. Use light clamping pressure to keep parts aligned while maintaining a film thickness for strength. For very porous substrates, apply a thin precoat as a primer layer and allow it to tack before final assembly. Keep joint lines clean by masking edges with painter tape and removing it before the adhesive skins. Where movement or vibration is expected, design the joint to share load across a large area. Troubleshooting Poor adhesion: Check for oil, release agents, or surface dust. Reclean and lightly abrade if necessary. Slow cure: Low temperature and low humidity extend cure time. Maintain moderate conditions for best results. Visible squeeze out: Wipe fresh material with a suitable solvent and a soft cloth. Once cured, trim carefully. Bond line prints through paint: Allow a full cure, then prime and apply thin coats of paint, allowing proper drying between coats. Storage and shelf life Replace cap after each use to reduce skinning. Store below 30 C. Always check the pack for a lot code and use by guidance. Reseal immediately after use and store upright. Dispose of empty containers responsibly. Safety Read the label before use. Wear gloves when handling uncured material. Provide ventilation in enclosed areas. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep out of reach of children and pets. If sensitivity occurs, stop use and seek advice. Do not ingest. First aid directions and detailed handling information are available on the package and the safety data sheet. Frequently asked questions Can I bond dissimilar materials? Yes, provided each surface is clean and sound. Differences in expansion are managed by the adhesive film thickness and the inherent flexibility after cure. Is clamping required? Light clamping improves alignment and final strength. Excessive pressure can starve the joint of adhesive which reduces performance. Is the bond water resistant? Once cured the bond resists splash water and routine humidity. For permanent immersion choose an adhesive designed for underwater service and follow the manufacturer guidance. Planning your job Measure twice and cut once. Dry assemble parts so you can confirm squareness and alignment before adhesive is involved. Keep rags, clamps, and spacers ready. If you are new to the product, test on offcuts to get a feel for bead size and squeeze out. A consistent 1 to 2 mm bond line is a good starting point for most rigid materials. Thicker lines help when surfaces are uneven. Avoid starving the joint by pressing too hard without giving the adhesive a place to reside. Responsible use Choose an adhesive that suits the materials and the environment the finished piece will face. If a joint will be submerged, carry structural loads, or be exposed to strong chemicals, check the technical data sheet for specific guidance. Many general purpose products are perfect for day to day work, while specialised tasks call for a system designed and tested for that environment. Using the right product first saves time, money, and rework. Aftercare and maintenance Adhesive joints are remarkably strong when used correctly. Design repairs so that routine loads are shared across a generous area. Where heavy vibration is present, pair the adhesive bond with appropriate mechanical fasteners. Keep cleaning chemicals mild, and avoid abrasive pads on visible joints. If a bond will be repainted, choose flexible paint where movement is expected, and keep edges sealed to prevent dirt tracking along the bond line. Recycling and disposal Allow empty containers to cure before disposal. Check local council guidance for recycling of plastics and metal cartridges. Never pour uncured product into drains or soil. Wipe tools on scrap material and let residue harden before placing in general waste. Smart handling keeps the workspace clean and reduces environmental impact.

Epoxy typically sticks to most paints. If there is a concern of the paint’s adhesion then remove it with sandpaper, wire brush or paint stripper. Smooth, glossy and shiny surfaces should be roughened using sandpaper to increase adhesion. Adhesion to wet or damp surfaces can be improved by wiping with alcohol. Do not use mineral spirits or paint thinner for removing contaminants. How to clean-up after PC-Fahrenheit™ application We recommend wearing disposable gloves when mixing and applying epoxy putty. Remove from skin with soap and warm water. Clean up mixed epoxy before it cures with paper towels and solvent. Denatured alcohol (ethanol), acetone, rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or lacquer thinner are suitable solvents for removing uncured epoxy. Cured epoxy can be physically removed by prying off with a screwdriver or pliers. It can also be removed with paint stripper or remover. Can PC-Fahrenheit™ repair a leaking steam radiator? PC-Fahrenheit™ resists higher temperatures and is suitable for repairing steam pipes and radiators. Can PC-Fahrenheit™ be used in a fireplace or wood burning stove? • Packshot of Boyle Mosaic Craft Adhesive Glue Paste 120 g

Boyle Boyle Mosaic Craft Adhesive Glue Paste 120 g

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Boyle Mosaic Craft Adhesive Glue Paste 120 g is a reliable ready to use craft adhesive paste for mosaic and small decor pieces chosen for home repairs, trade work, and craft builds when you want a bond you can trust. Designed for Australian conditions, it balances strength, ease of use, and clean application so you can get professional results without special tools. The 120 g pack is ideal for general work and keeps neatly in a toolbox or caddy. Why choose Boyle Mosaic for your next project Everyday jobs often involve mixed materials and imperfect surfaces. Boyle Mosaic Craft Adhesive Glue Paste 120 g has been formulated to wet out well, grab quickly, and cure to a tough finish that resists movement and contact stress. It maintains bond integrity across common temperature swings and has dependable resistance to moisture and most household chemicals. Whether you are fixing, building, sealing, or assembling, this product gives you confidence from first squeeze through final set. Best for Mounting glass tesserae and small tiles to bases Decorating frames, pots, and plaques Craft classes and school projects Suitable surfaces The adhesive works well on the following surface types when properly prepared: Terracotta and ceramic bases Primed timber Card and board Glass and stone pieces Surface preparation Good preparation is the key to a long lasting repair. Bring surfaces together within the stated open time of workable for extended craft sessions. Cure profile Initial grab holds pieces in place while you continue working. Allow to dry fully before grouting or moving finished items. Temperature and environmental performance Use in dry indoor conditions for best results. Clean up and finishing Wipe away fresh squeeze out with a damp cloth. Wash brushes in warm soapy water. Storage and shelf life Close lid firmly after use to prevent skinning. Store at room temperature.

Selleys Selleys Liquid Nails Fast Grab Construction Adhesive 420g - 3 Pack

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Liquid Nails Fast is a water-based, high-strength construction adhesive with fast grab and low odour. It has a thick, non-runny consistency and is ideal for adhering timbers and other porous construction materials. Once dry, it has a beige (light tan) finish. Uses Liquid Nails Fast has a high initial grab that reduces the need to support joins while the adhesive cures. The grab works best with porous surfaces. It bonds to a wide range of materials including MDF, particle board, timber, plasterboard, styrene foam, masonry, concrete, tiles, ceramics, metals, plastics*, rubber and glass. Faster results occur when at least one surface is porous. Typical applications include: Areas where nailing is not desirable Skirting boards, architraves, and cornices Wall panelling to masonry Styrene foam to metal roofing Technical Features Fast grab – high initial holding reduces slippage on vertical surfaces Complies with AS 2329-1999 (Mastic adhesives for fixing wall boards) Non-drip formula – does not sag or string between panels Bridges gaps and adheres to uneven surfaces Low mess – excess can be wiped away with a damp cloth No solvent fumes – ideal for indoor projects Flexible – withstands thermal movement and vibration Heat resistant – maintains bond strength under sunlight Paintable when dry Easy to extrude in all temperatures Application Tips Use in conjunction with permanent mechanical fasteners except for low-stress applications such as wall panelling or lightweight fixtures. Bonds are not water resistant – protect from water if used outdoors. Drying time is extended in cold or damp conditions and with non-porous materials. Thicker layers take longer to dry. Test plastics before use – adheres well to UPVC but not to polyethylene or polypropylene. For wood flooring, use solvent-based Liquid Nails instead. Satisfactory for fixing sheet flooring to joists with the manufacturer’s minimum nailing specification, but not recommended for bonding sheet flooring to existing or concrete floors. Technical Details & Performance Good bond strength after 24 hours on porous substrates; continues strengthening over 2–3 days. Appearance: Smooth beige paste, free from lumps and air bubbles Specific Gravity: Approx. 1.44 g/mL @ 25°C Viscosity: 7000–9000 Poise Slump: 0 mm (typical) Shear Adhesion Strength (7 days, AS2329): >1500 kPa (Hoop pine substrate) Peel Adhesion Strength (7 days cure): 40 N/25 mm (variant to AS2329) Initial Bond Strength (24 hrs): >200 kPa Heat Resistance: Withstands up to 140°C temporarily. Constant high temperatures may reduce load-holding power. Creep Resistance (under constant load):– At 80°C: holds 500 g (7.8 kPa) on 625 mm² bond area– At 25°C: holds 6 kg (100 kPa) on 625 mm² bond area Coverage Approximately 15 metres of a 5 mm diameter bead. Curing time increases with thicker bonds or larger bond areas. Data provided is indicative only and not for design use. Cleaning Clean with hot soapy water or a damp cloth while wet. Superior silicone formulation forms a durable seal which locks out water and which does not shrink when drying Built-in fungicide to inhibit the growth of mould. Available in a range of colours to suit most wet areas. Non-corrosive neutral cure formula. Low odour so can be used in any environment without discomfort. Is easy to clean once it is applied, as it resists moisture, hot cooking oils and steam. Superior flexibility +/- 25% movement capability & up to 400% elongation or stretch. Temperature resistance – approximately -60°C +150°C Has a 25 year guarantee – when used as directed, i.e. for private use and within 12 months of purchase, the product is guaranteed against crumbling, cracking or drying. Where can this product be used? Showers and sinks. Metal, copper and brass fittings. Perfect for use on or around: Showers Baths Spas Sinks Plumbing Fixtures Can not be painted over. Not suitable for building materials that bleed oils or solvents, such as impregnated wood. Not for use on polyethylene, polypropylene or Teflon. Pre-test plastics before use. What materials is this product suitable for? Ceramic, glazed & porcelain fixtures Metal, copper and brass fitiings Plastic laminates Rubber Glass Stainless steel Concrete and grouts Many plastics including polystyrene How to use this product Throughly clean and dry surface from oil, dirt and grease with Mineral Turpentine firstly and then Methylated Spirits. Allow to dry completely before applying silicone. If there old silicone which needs to be removed, we recommend using SELLEYS SILICONE REMOVER, this ingenous product makes removing old silicone easy. We also recommend sanding the surface back with a good quality sanding block, such as a ROTA COTA Sanding Block Medium/Course grain, as the silicone will adhere more readily to a scratched up surface. As this point any unwanted sealant can be removed by trimming with a sharp blade, but avoid under cutting the seal. Handy tips Tips for Using a Silicone Sealant in a Wet Area Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. When first applying product, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of silicone sealant. Remove the tape before the silicone sealant skins. For a better finish complete painting prior to use of the sealant as it can not be painted over. For a better finish use a spatula dipped in mineral turpetine or detergent and water to tool off the sealant. Work in sections that can be completed before sealant skins. Tooling off and tape removal must be completed before skinning occurs or a rough surface, may result so working in sections allows for a better finish. It may irrtate sensitive skin. Avoid breathing in vapours. Ensure you use a well ventilated area as product releases methyl ethyl ketoxime while curing. After use keep the nozzle on the cartridge Silicone is a reactive product and is designed to cure once exposed to humidity. While the product may be stored for a few months once opened, it does have a limited shelf life. Storage in an upright position in a cool dry place is recommended to maximise the storage life. If the sealant is going to be used again within a few days, leave the nozzle on and merely extrude approximately 2 cm of product before storing the cartridge upright.

Features Strong bond – which will cope with shrinkage and thermal movement, so you know the job will last. Adheres well to wet and dry timber, so there is no need to wait for the timber to dry. Easily extruded and easy to use in low Winter temperatures, so it allows you to continue with the job at low temperatures. Paintable when dry, to give you a neat, quality finished job. Doesn’t drip, sag or string, so there is less mess when you are using the product. Is available in a range of sizes and delivery styles. Meets requirements specified by Australian Standard AS 2329-1999. Bridges gaps on rough and ill fitting construction material Has a life expectancy, when cured, of 20 years Not for use on polyethylene, polypropylene, Teflon, silicone or polystyrene. Perfect for use: Sheet flooring to joists Metal or aluminium door strips to floors or walls Timber or fibre cement sheeting to cement block or brick walls Masonite to timber Wallboard or panelling to wood or metal frames Cork tiles to timber, fibro or plaster Tempered hardboard to floorboards To eliminate the squeaks in tongue & groove boards Not suitable for use on Mirrors, use Liquid Nails Mirrors, Metal and Glass Not suitable for use on Styrene Foam, use Liquid Nails Fast Not suitable for metals heated by direct sunlight, as bonds weaken at high temperatures. eg metal roofing and siding. Not suitable for bonding materials in areas which will be constantly damp or wet. Not suitable for use in tightly clamped joints eg cabinet making or joinery use Selleys Aquadhere What materials is this product suitable for? Brick & Concrete Plasterboard, particleboard & fibre cement sheeting Ceramic tiles Aluminium Painted surfaces Timber Hardboards Render Many other building surfaces   How to use this product Ensure the surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil and loose powdery materials. If porous surfaces are greasy or dirty, we would recommend cleaning the surface with SELLEYS LIQUID SUGAR SOAP, and allow to dry. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with Mineral Turpetine and then again with Methylated Spirits, and allow to dry. If there is old difficult to remove residue such as old flaky paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as SELLEYS KWIK STRIP SMART, and allow to dry. On wet timber pooled water should be wiped off. Highly oily timber types may need to be wiped with solvent prior to application to remove surface oils. We also recommend sanding the surface back with a good quality sanding block, such as a ROTA COTA Sanding Block Medium/ Course grain, as the construction adhesive will adhere more readily to a scratched up surface. Cut the seal at the top of the cartridge. Cut the nozzle end to desired opening (approx. 5mm diameter). Fit to the top of the cartridge. Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking gun. We recommend SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking Gun, as its new innovative pressure release design reduces the mess which results from run on and stress on your hands, which is critical if you are doing a lot of work which requires a caulking gun. Apply a bead of product along the length of the joist, stud or batten. On broad flat surfaces apply beads every 40cm. Fix the surfaces with sufficient nails, screws or clamping to hold load and achieve contact over the total bond area. The product is repositionable for up to 20 minutes after fitting. Allow the adhesive to set (at least 24 hours) before removing any temporary fasteners or clamping. For faster grab, apply to one surface only, press together and pull apart. Allow surfaces to dry 2-5 minutes before firmly joining. The time it takes to form a strong bond depends on the nature and conditions of the application. In most situations strong bonds can be achieved after 24 hours and will continue to strengthen over a 2-3 day period. The product will fully cure up to 7 days. When the product is still wet it can be removed with mineral turpetine, otherwise if the product is dry it can be removed by sanding or scraping, we recommend using a 50mm ROTA COTA Soft Grip Scraper. Clean any excess from your hands with SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipes. To eliminate squeaks in tongue and groove flooring, apply a bead of Liquid nails into the groove or each board when installing. Handy tips When applying to one surface, ensure sufficient LIQUID NAILS Original is used so that some adhesive extrudes out when surfaces are brought together then wipe off excess if necessary. If glue is not visible, then insufficient contact may not have been made between the surfaces and a weak joint may result. LIQUID NAILS Original should always be used in conjunction with mechanical fasteners in structural, critical or high stress applications. LIQUID NAILS Original is sometimes called LIQUID NAILS (SOLVENT) to differentiate it from the other Liquid Nails products. LIQUID NAILS Original shrinks slightly on curing. Cured LIQUID NAILS Original residues can be removed by holding a rag soaked in Mineral Turps against the residue, then rubbing the residue once softened. Mineral Turps penetrates in this way at approximately 1 mm per hour. When Liquid Nails Original joints are directly exposed to the weather, it is recommended to seal around the edges with a silicone sealant to prevent water ponding inside the joint and thus weaken the joint. LIQUID NAILS Original is NOT recommended for use on mirrors or polystyrene. Use LIQUID NAILS MIRROR METAL GLASS for mirrors and LIQUID NAILS FAST for polystyrene. Keep a pack of SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipes handy to wipe up any spills and for cleaning any material off the skin before it cures. They are an easy and effective way to keep clean on the job.
