FAQs
Q: Will Fix-A-Floor work if I have heated floors?A: Yes! We have customers using Fix-A-Floor with heated floor elements all the time with no problems. Keep heating element off before, during & for 48 hrs. after applying. Q: Some of my grout is missing or completely gone? How can I use Fix-A-Floor?A: If bits and pieces of grout are missing here and there around the problem area, just go ahead and Drill & Fill, the adhesive will actually help to re-bond the bits that are cracking and loose. If your grout is completely gone we recommend lightly re-grouting the area allow to dry and then Drill & Fill! Q: Can I use Fix-A-Floor to fix my entire floor or just a small area?A: Fix-A-Floor works great on all size problem areas from 1 tile to the whole entire floor! Works on all types of Tile, Marble & Stone floors too! Q: Can I use Fix-A-Floor outside on my patio or deck?A: Yes! Fix-A-Floor works beautifully on interior and exterior applications. Q: Can I use Fix-A-Floor in my shower or Pool?A: No! Fix-A-Floor is not recommended for areas with exposed to excessive moisture. Q: Is Fix-A-Floor Safe?A: Yes! Fix-A-Floor is a non-toxic, non-flammable and Eco-Friendly water-based adhesive. Q: Can I use Fix-A-Floor to re-glue a tile that is off the floor?A: Yes, simply squeeze Fix-A-Floor onto the floor where the tile was and press the tile back down onto the floor, place weight and allow to dry for 24 hrs. Tile will be rebonded! Q: Do I have to place buckets of water on my floor after I Drill & Fill?A: It is recommended you place some kind of weight on the area to aid in curing and to be sure no excess adhesive is trapped under your floor before regrouting. It is not mandatory. Q: What if I don’t see the adhesive coming up out of the other holes?A: While filling Fix-A-Floor will usually come up and out of the other drilled holes. If this does not happen move to another hole and continue to fill, the adhesive is still travelling under the floor. If you see the adhesive coming back up out of the hole you are filling, be sure you are NOT pressing the tip of the tube down onto the subfloor. Q: What if the adhesive is clumpy or not flowing out of the tube properly?A: The adhesive in the tube has frozen either in transit during the cold winter months this can happen. Simply contact us for a replacement.

3M™ Panel Bonding Adhesive (PN 08116) is a two-part epoxy designed to bond non-structural outer body sheet metal such as, but not limited to, quarter panels, roof panels, van sides, box sides and door skins
Product Uses Bonding steel, aluminum, SMC and FRP (fiberglass) to themselves or each other.
Use with the following applicators: PN08117 (manual), PN 09930
(pneumatic). 3M™ Mixing Nozzle, PN 08193 (6/bag), PN 08194 (50/box).
For professional use only. Not intended for retail sale.
The following times have been determined with ambient air temperature and
substrate temperature @ 70°F and are considered typical values.
WORK TIME:
90-120 minutes
CLAMP TIME
6 hours
CURE TIME:
24 hours
SURFACE PREPARATION:
1. Wash surface with soap and water to remove water soluble contaminants. Follow the soap and water wash with an appropriate VOC compliant product for removal of surface contaminants.
2. Remove all rust, primer and paint from the areas to be bonded or welded using a Scotch-Brite™ Clean & Strip Disc or 3M grade 50 Grinding Disc.
3. Straighten all metal, and “dry-fit” the parts.
4. Clamp the part in place and check for fit and alignment.
5. Remove the panel from the vehicle. All areas to be welded should be coated with 3M™ Weld-Thru II Coating (PN 05917) according to the directions on the can. Adhesive should not be applied to these areas.
PRODUCT PREPARATION:
6. Place an adhesive cartridge in the applicator gun.
7. Remove the retaining collar and plug from the end of the cartridge. Discard plug, but save the retaining collar.
8. Before attaching a nozzle, “equalize” the cartridge by dispensing just enough product to be sure that both parts A and B are present at the outlet.
9. Attach a 3M™ Static Mixing Nozzle to the cartridge and lock in place with the retaining collar.
10. Dispense a small amount of material through the mixing nozzle onto a disposable surface and discard.
11. Apply an adhesive bead to all bare metal surfaces of both pieces to be bonded. Using a plastic spreader or acid brush, tool out the adhesive to cover all bare metal surfaces.
12. Apply a 1/8" diameter adhesive bead approximately 1/4" from the inside edge of the replacement panel.
• Quarter Panels: Adhesive should be applied to the lower edge, the wheel opening, the door jamb areas of the quarter, and at the factory seam of the sail
panel. 3M suggests that the rear vertical portion of a quarter panel should be welded. It is acceptable to bond the rear vertical portion of a quarter panel, if recommended by the OEM. Additionally, most OEM’s only recommend full panel replacement. Should you perform a belt cut on a sail panel, 3M recommends welding the belt cut to ensure optimal cosmetic appearance. All areas to be welded should be sprayed with 3M™ Weld-Thru II (PN 05917).
Do not apply adhesive to these areas.
• Roof Panels: Adhesive should be applied around the perimeter of the roof anel. To replace the factory-applied NVH foam/spacer between the roof bow and the roof panel, use one of the following: 3M™ Urethane Seam Sealer (PN 08360, PN 08361 or PN 08364), 3M™ MSP Seam Sealer (PN 08369 or
PN 08370), or 3M™ NVH Dampening Material (PN 04274) to the roof bows as needed.
• Door Skins: Adhesive should be applied to the hem flange area. To replace the factory-applied NVH foam/spacer between the intrusion beam/s and the
door skin, use one of the following: 3M™ Urethane Seam Sealer (PN 08360, PN08361 or PN 08364), 3M™ MSP Seam Sealer (PN 08369 or PN 08370),
or 3M™ NVH Dampening Material (PN 04274) to the intrusion beam/s as needed.
13. Clamp the panel in its proper position.
14. Tool any adhesive “squeeze out” to seal the outside of the seam all along the bonded edge of the panel.
• Caution: The adhesive is combustible. Keep any MIG welding a minimum of two inches from the adhesive. As with any welding operation, keep the appropriate fire extinguisher within reach, and be alert to any smoke or flame that may be present. Resistance spot welding through uncured adhesive is
acceptable.
15. Spray the inside of quarter panels, interior cavities, and any welded seams with 3M™ Rust Fighter-I (PN 08891 or PN 08892).
16. Clamps may be removed after six hours at 73°F. Parts will need to remain clamped longer if the temperature is below 73°F and/or if there is any tension
on the part. The cure time may be accelerated by applying heat with a heat gun or lamps.
17. Allow 24 hours at a minimum of 73°F before returning vehicle to service.
CLEAN-UP: Unmixed material may be cleaned from most surfaces with an appropriate VOC compliant product.
Storage and Handling When stored at the recommended conditions in original, unopened containers, this product has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture. Store at room temperature. Rotate stock on a “first-in-first-out” basis. After use, leave the mix nozzle in place to seal the cartridge.

It is okay to use Command™ Products if the glass is not exposed to direct sunlight and not flooded with water. For glass shower doors use our special Water-Resistant line of products (blue strip) which are clearly marked on our packaging.

No. Command™ Products are intended for mostly smooth surfaces such as those listed above. However, our products will stick to painted, smooth cinder block (the type found inside many school and office buildings).
Can I use Command™ Products on fresh paint?
Paint should be fully cured (check paint can for manufacturer's cure time) before using Command Products. We recommend waiting 28 days before use on fresh paint. Also, alcohol may remove or dull the surface of fresh paint.
Can I use Command™ Products on wallpaper?
No. Most wallpapers are too delicate and can tear when adhesives are applied.

Surfaces to be bonded must be dry, sound and free from grease/oil and dust.
Work tube between fingers for several seconds to loosen contents. Cut the tip of the nozzle and squeeze to apply adhesive onto one surface.
Immediately press parts firmly together. Bonds can be repositioned for up to 5 minutes. If adhesive surfaces form a skin no bond will form. The bond will usually have good strength after 24 hours and will continue to strengthen for a few days.
Application Tips
For long narrow attachments (e.g. skirting boards) apply one or two continuous beads.
For larger flat areas use beads approximately 30cm apart.
For small items (e.g. tiles) spots of adhesive may be used.
Wipe away excess adhesive with a damp cloth. Dried adhesive is best removed by scraping.
Limitations:
Not suitable for permanently wet or damp areas.
Not suitable for fixing mirrors. Use Selleys Liquid Nails Mirror Metal & Glass.
*Not suitable for polyethylene and polypropylene. Use Selleys All Plastic Fix.
Bonds are not water-resistant. Protect bonds from water penetration if used in exterior applications.
Not resistant to strong acids and strong organic solvents.
Do not apply below 10°C.
When used near brass or copper, the immediate area of contact will discolour to a blue tone.

What materials is this product suitable for?
MDF
Glass
Metal
Concrete
Ceramic
Most plastics (will not adhere to polyethylene or polypropylene, test other plastics first).
All timbers
How to use this product
Surfaces to be bonded must be close fitting, clean, dust and grease free.
Wipe very dry porous surfaces with a damp cloth 1 minute before bonding.
Apply a thin layer of adhesive evenly to one surface only. Glue expands and foams as it cures.
Assemble parts together within 10 minutes and clamp firmly or weight to hold until cured.
Wipe nozzle clean and seal container tightly. (to prevent remaining product from hardening in the container).
Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately with acetone. After drying, any excess adhesive can only be removed by scraping, sanding, filing or cutting.
Clean tools with acetone or white turpetine immediatly after use (before adhesive dries).
Handy tips
1L covers approx. 8m2
It is advisable to wear gloves (adhesive bonds to skin and is extremely difficult to remove from skin).
For bonding with smooth surface materials such as glass, plastics or metals, we suggested sanding or roughening the surface.
The tighter you clamp, the better bond you will obtain (as Durabond expands).
Wipe nozzle clean and seal container tightly. (to prevent remaining product from hardening in the container.)
Wipe oily timber surfaces with acetone on a clean rag to remove any surface oils & allow to dry before applying adhesive.
In extremely dry conditions or for extremely dry surfaces (eg terracotta) wipe surfaces with a damp rag prior to bonding to ensure sufficent moisture is present to cure product. Surfaces should not be wet.
It is recommended to use the entire contents of a pack within 6 months of opening. Product may form a hard skin on the surface during this period. Usable material is normally still present beneath this skin and can be accessed by breaking the hardened layer.
For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with mineral turpentine and then again with methylated spirits. If there is old, difficult to remove residue such as old paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as SELLEYS Kwik Strip Smart. Ensure the surface is dry before applying the product.
If glue comes in contact with hands, use acetone or white spirits to remove immediately and then rinse off with soapy water followed by hand creme. Alternatively wipe hands regularly while using Aquadhere Durabond. Once cured, adhesive is extremely difficult to remove from skin.
If cured material is discovered on the skin, then rub vegetable oil or Vitamin E cream into the area repeatedly to accelerate the natural process of the skin shedding, which will in turn cause the cured product to fall off.
Safety tips
Contains organic isocyanate polymers.
On contact, uncured adhesive can irritate eyes. If in eyes, flood the eyes for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice.
Avoid contact with skin, if contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing or flush skin and hair with running water.
Avoid breathing vapours. Ensure use in a well-ventilated area. Product releases methyl ethyl ketoxime while curing.
For advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre (AUS 131 126; NZ 0800 764 766) or a doctor.
Warning: this product contains organic isocyanate polymers. This product has been classified as hazardous according to the criteria of NOHSC and HSNO. For further detail on the safe use of this product, please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet, which can be downloaded from this site.
Keep away from children.
Storage and re-use
Clean tools with acetone or white spirit immediately after use (before adhesive dried).
Storage – For maximum shelf life store inside at moderate temperatures in dry conditions. Keep tightly closed to prevent moisture and air contact.
It is recommended to use the entire contents of a pack within 6 months of opening. Product may form a hard skin on the surface during this period. Usable material is normally still present beneath this skin and can be accessed by breaking the hardened layer.materials other than wood.

How to use this product
Surfaces to be bonded must be close fitting, free from dust, dry and clean from grease.
Shake bottle before use
Apply adhesive liberally to one surface only, position surfaces and press together while still wet. Immediately clamp for 30 minutes for softwoods and 1 hour for hardwoods. Alternatively, low clamping pressures (50lbs/in2) can be used with softwoods; higher pressures are recommended for hardwoods (100 – 150lbs/in2). Do not stress joint for 12 hours.
Wipe off excess adhesive while still wet with a damp cloth. If the wood is to be stained, any residual Aquadhere left on the timber surface may prevent the stain from taking to the wood.
Maximum strength is achieved after 12 hours, but longer in cold, damp conditions, or when used on dense timbers.
Clean all tools with water before adhesive is allowed to dry. If dry, soak in water until adhesive is soft.
Cure slows significantly in humid, cold conditions.
Handy tips
1L covers approx. 5m2
To fill small gaps, Aquadhere can be mixed with sawdust.
Longer clamping times may be required for joints under high stress, or alternatively use 308 High Stress Wood Glue.
Avoid contaminating Aquadhere Exterior with iron and steel, eg nails, etc. Aquadhere contaminated with rust (iron oxide) will stain brown/black in the presence of tannins in many woods.
Painting or varnishing constructions made of porous softwoods will improve the resistance of bonds to water exposure.
On very porous surfaces applying a thin layer to each side and allowing to soaking in before applying a second layer to one side only may result in a stronger bond.
If you are gluing over a larger surface, try using a small roller to aid in application.

Cured adhesive can be resoftened by prolonged contact with hot water or steam.
Sanding isn’t an effective way to prepare for gluing, as it often leaves an uneven surface and may clog the timber which can stop the glue from penetrating and impact on your result. A straight router can be used to trim the edge, but be sure to only remove as much as required to obtain a suitable edge for gluing.
If you are gluing over a larger surface, try using a small roller to aid in application.

How to use this product
General Use
Before applying the Araldite mixture, all surfaces MUST be thoroughly clean and dry.
All traces of grease, rust paint, etc. should be removed.
For best results, smooth surfaces should be roughened by mechanical abrasion after solvent cleaning.
Onto a clean, disposable surface (e.g. polyethylene or cardboard), dispense equal volumes of Part A and Part B. Thoroughly mix together with a spatula, nail or stick. When using the tubes it is essential to use the correct mixing ratio, i.e. 1 part each
Apply adhesive immediately to both surfaces and press together. Clamping is not necessary, but allow bond to remain undisturbed for at least 20 minutes. Scrape off excess adhesive and wipe mixing utensils immediately.
When using the Araldite 5ml Everyday tube, ensure correct caps are replaced on each tube or they will harden.
To use Selleys Araldite Singles:
Fold – the pack in half, so that foil is back to back.
Tear – carefully along perforations.
Squeeze – bubbles to extrude adhesive.
Mix – two parts together until well combined.
Apply – mixed adhesive to surfaces and bring together. Wipe off excess adhesive and do not apply undue strain to bond for 30 minutes.
Handy tips
For maximum working time, mix in small quantities. Large quantities accelerate the curing process and reduce working time.
To extend product life replace caps immediately after use. Ensure you wipe excess from nozzle with a tissue dipped in acetone (or nail polish remover) before replacing the caps.
When using the tube variant, ensure you replace the correct cap on the correct tube. Placing the wrong cap on the wrong tube will cause the tube to harden. (lids and tubes are colour coded to help)
Wipe off any uncured araldite with acetone or nail polish remover.
To remove product after cure, mechanical action (scraping or sanding) is recommended. Since the product is chemically resistant solvent will NOT dissolve this product.
To reposition the bond once cured, check that the item is heat resistant. If safe, heat the item slowly, e.g. in an oven, to at least 150oC. The product will soften and liquify slightly. Scrape off any excess then reposition the joint carefully using appropriate safety equipment. Allow the item to cool down in the correct position. The product will reharden once returned to room temperature.
Clamping is recommended for a stronger bond.
Singles are great for those unexpected household breakages, so keep them at home, just in case.
Keep a box of Selleys Sugar Soap Wipes around for quick & effective clean up.
For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would reccomend using Selleys Liquid Sugar Soap. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with Methylated Spirits. If there is old difficult to remove residue such as oold paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as Selleys Kwik Strip Smart. Ensure the surface is dry before applying the product.
Safety tips
Avoid contact with the skin and eyes.
Avoid breathing vapour.
Do not use solvents near eyes or open wounds.
In case of contact with eyes, flush with water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
Non toxic when set.
For further information refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
