APPLICATION
SUITABLE FOR:
Ideal for small-area bonds. Glues almost all solid and flexible materials like ceramics, leather, rubber, many plastics (such as rigid PVC, ABS, PS, Plexiglas®, polycarbonate (Makrolon®), and phenolic resins (Bakelite®)), porcelain, metal, wood, cork, felt, and cloth (check suitability first). Only partly suitable for glass (over a certain period of time the bond becomes brittle, causing it to weaken). Ideal for porous materials.
NOT SUITABLE FOR:
Not suitable for PE, PP, silicone resins, PTFE, Styrofoam®, fabrics and leather clothing.
BEFORE USE:
Working conditions
Do not use at temperatures below +10 °C. The glue responds best to an air humidity level of 50-70 %.
Surface requirements
Surfaces to be glued must be clean, dry, and free of dust and grease, and must fit exactly.
Preliminary surface treatment
Any dust, oil, grease, wax or separating agent should be thoroughly removed from the surfaces to be stuck together. The best way to achieve this is to rub the parts a number of times with appropriate solvents, such as acetone (if suitable for the material – check first!). For metals and metal alloys it is usually sufficient to roughen the surface using emery paper or by grinding or brushing.
DURING USE:
Directions for use
1. To pierce the membrane, turn the cap clockwise firmly onto the tube. Tip: do not press the tube while piercing. 2. Unscrew the cap to reveal the applicator. Apply the adhesive directly from the tube, using the nozzle, as thinly as possible onto one side (too much glue slows down the curing process significantly). Press parts together immediately. After use, clean nozzle with a dry tissue and replace cap.
Advice
When glueing at low humidity, curing time can be shortened by briefly breathing onto one of the parts to be assembled. The best glueing results are reached at room temperature.
Points of attention
Contains cyanoacrylate. Bonds skin and eyelids together in seconds. If product comes into contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. In case of contact with skin, glue can be dissolved by soaking in warm soapy water. Then apply a skin cream. May cause respiratory irritation. Avoid breathing vapours. Keep out of the reach of children.
AFTER USE:
Stains/residue
Wipe off excess glue immediately with a dry cloth. After curing, glue residue is very difficult to remove. Acetone will dissolve glue but very slowly (check suitability first).
Storage conditions
Store in a dry, cool, frost-free place. Storage below +5 °C (in refrigerator) ensures maximum shelf life.

Application
Check ambient and substrate temperature. Apply between 10°C and 30°C in dry, draft free conditions.
Cut the nozzle to the required bead size or prepare the container according to the product type.

Limitations
Do not apply to surfaces that are visibly wet unless the product specifically allows damp application.
Avoid continuous water immersion unless the product is rated for that exposure.

Observe maximum service temperature and any movement or vibration limits appropriate to the application.
Clean up
Wipe away fresh adhesive with a damp cloth. Scrape away set material carefully. Always read the product label and follow local regulations for disposal of leftover material and containers.

Can I keep my weldbond bottle outside in the garage? Will it freeze?
Weldbond should be protected from the cold as it will freeze. Once frozen, this product loses all adhesive capabilities. It should be stored above 50°f/ 10°c at all times. Also, after the container has been opened, ensure it is closed tightly after each use.
What is the shelf life of weldbond?
Weldbond typically has a shelf life of 5 years. If the product is starting to solidify, it can be restored by adding just a little bit of water. We advise the consumer to give the container a good shake prior to every use.

Can I keep my weldbond bottle outside in the garage? Will it freeze?
Weldbond should be protected from the cold as it will freeze. Once frozen, this product loses all adhesive capabilities. It should be stored above 50°f/ 10°c at all times. Also, after the container has been opened, ensure it is closed tightly after each use.
What is the shelf life of weldbond?
Weldbond typically has a shelf life of 5 years. If the product is starting to solidify, it can be restored by adding just a little bit of water. We advise the consumer to give the container a good shake prior to every use.
Is weldbond non-toxic?
Weldbond has been tested to be non-toxic. Weldbond conforms to astm d4236.
Is weldbond tested on animals or created with any animal by-products?
Weldbond is not tested on animals and does not contain any animal by-products. This product is vegan-friendly.
