How do I fill gaps between my wooden window frames and inside wall? A. You're dealing with two different materials here, plaster and wood. I painted over the areas where I used Polyfilla Gap Filler and now cracks have appeared. Why has this happened? A. If the gap filler was not cured sufficiently before it was painted over, cracks can occur as the gap filler shrinks. To prevent this, allow 48 hours drying time when you are filling large gaps or painting with oil-based paints. Also, some water based undercoats and paints shrink during drying and as Polyfilla Gap Filler is flexible, it won't stop cracks appearing in the shrinking paint on its surface. Test the paint on a small section of gap filler and if this is a problem you can reduce cracking by allowing the filler to cure thoroughly or by first coating it with a vinyl/acrylic semi-gloss or oil-based undercoat. Q. Why does my gap filler keeps cracking? A. It is important to remember that the width of a gap affects how much the product can move. To remove uncured Gorilla Super Glue, use a towel dampened with acetone or isopropyl alcohol to blot the area. Several applications may be necessary to completely remove the uncured glue. Acetone may also be used according to the solvent manufacturer’s instructions (fingernail polish remover works well). The key is to be patient and NEVER pull the area apart. Gently wiggle the bonded area to allow the soapy water or acetone to penetrate the bond. After soaking, the adhesive should come off easily. Keep in mind that acetone can strip your skin of oils, so apply moisturiser after removal. How do I remove Gorilla Super Glue from my surface? To remove uncured Gorilla Super Glue, use a towel dampened with acetone or isopropyl alcohol to blot the area. Several applications may be necessary to completely remove the uncured glue. Wipe off excess adhesive while still wet with a damp cloth. If the wood is to be stained, any residual Aquadhere left on the timber surface may prevent the stain from taking to the wood. Selleys BBQ Tough Grease & Grime Cleaner is a fast-acting spray made for the quick clean-up that keeps a barbecue in good shape. It lifts cooking grease, baked-on food and general grime from hotplates and grills so the cooking surface stays clean and hygienic, without the hard scrubbing a wire brush needs. The 500mL trigger bottle sprays an even coat straight onto the surface and is ready to use with no mixing or dilution. Formula overview The cleaner uses a surfactant-based, non-caustic formula, so it powers through fat and oily build-up while being easier to handle than harsh caustic products. It goes to work in two to three minutes, loosening the grease so it wipes away instead of needing to be scoured off. Because it is water based, any residue rinses and wipes off easily with a damp cloth. Where to use it Outdoors: BBQ hotplates, grills and racks are the main job, ideal as an after-cook clean while the plate is still slightly warm. It also works well on outdoor furniture and many other outdoor surfaces where grease and grime gather.
