What materials is this putty suitable for? Wood Timber How to use this product Rebates and grooves should be rigid, free from distortion, true and square, and should be clean, dry and unobstructed before glazing. Rebates and grooves should be of a size which allows adequate edge cover and putty volume. Minimum bed putty – 2mm, minimum front putty – 4mm where timber beads are used, and 2mm bed putty and 12mm front putty where no glazing beads are used. Depth of rebate: 10mm for 3-4mm glass, 15mm for 5-8mm glass. Two coats of good quality house paint should be applied not less than 2 weeks and not more than 4 weeks after completion of glazing. Paint should be carried out 2mm above the top line of the putty. Handy tips Do not use kerosene, turps or other material to aid in working the putty Allow putty to skin before applying paint Product can be applied by hand or with a putty knife. Add a few drops of linseed oil on the hands or knife to make for easier working Putty can thicken in cold weather. Warming the putty by working it in the hands before the application will soften it. Putty must be painted in exterior applications. High humidity, cold weather and use in interior applications can extend skinning times. Putty can separate on prolonged standing. If excessive oil is observed on the surface try to work the entire mixture together to redistribute the oil. Allow the surfaces to skin prior to painting, which is approximately 30 minutes. Protect from rain until firmly skinned. Allow for longer skin and cure times in damp conditions. Some water based under coats & flat paints may crack on drying. To reduce this effect allows the product to cure for 24 hours in small gaps or 48 hours in larger gaps before painting with such paints. To improve the paint finish, wipe the sealant with detergent solution immediately before painting. Avoid smearing sealant on the surrounding surfaces as this may effects its paintability. Work in sections that can be completed before sealant skins. Tooling off and tape removal must be completed before skinning occurs or a rough surface may result so working in sections allows for a better finish. Storage and re-use Store in cool dry conditions, below 30°C The sealant should be used within 6 months after opening. After use keep the nozzle on the cartridge Silicone is a reactive product and is designed to cure once exposed to air. While the product may be stored for a few months once opened, it does have a limited shelf life. Storage in an upright position in a cool dry place is recommended to maximise the storage life. If the sealant is going to be used again within a few days, leave the nozzle on and merely extrude approximately 2 cm of product before storing the cartridge upright. This will cure to a plug which can easily be pulled out when required. For longer storage periods, leave the nozzle on and place a piece of plasticene or Blu Tack over the end of the nozzle. Tightly tape a piece of aluminium foil over the whole nozzle to exclude any air. When you want to re-use the product, simply take off the foil and plug from the old nozzle pull out the excess silicone from the nozzle with a corkscrew, then re-pierce any cure at the tip of the cartridge and re-use. If cure has taken place into the cartridge, the product is unlikely to be in a useable state and should be discarded.

To mix, knead with fingers to a uniform colour. If mixing is difficult, warm to room temperature. Apply to surface to be repaired (within 12 minutes of mixing) and work the material forcefully into the surface applying pressure until adhesion begins to take effect. Mould to shape if required. If material sticks to fingers, use the plastic wrapper to press the material in place. For a smooth appearance, remove excess and hand rub with water or damp cloth before hardening begins. Trim away any excess before initial hardening. Remove any residues with acetone prior to initial hardening. Hardened excess may be sanded or trimmed away once fully cured. After 20-30 minutes Knead-It Aqua will harden and begin to form a strong bond. Allow for longer cure times at lower temperatures. A vinyl reinforced cement-based filler that is water and weather resistant. Matches cement grey when set and easily sands whilst maintaining the strength of cement. Can be nailed and screwed without splitting or breaking. Will not shrink when used in accordance with directions, making it suitable for use in patching steps, paths, paving etc. For use on: Bricks, cement, stone and other masonry surfaces (EXTERIOR). May be used in interior wet areas and as ceramic floor tile cement. Fill depth: Dependent on mix ratio Dries in: 5-6 hours for sanding. Allow 24 hours before painting. Ready to use: NO (mix with water) Available in: 500g & 2kg Colour: Grey and can be tinted by adding cement colorants to the mixing water. Application tips: • Surface to be filled should be clean and dry with no loose or powdery material. Do not wet or prime surfaces before filling. • Coat nail heads with oil based paint prior to filling to prevent rust staining. • Add 4 parts Polyfilla Exterior Powder Filler to 1 part water in a clean container and mix thoroughly into a smooth paste. Use mix within 30 minutes and do not add water to extend working time. • For deeper cracks and holes and on very absorbent surfaces it is advisable to use a slightly stiffer (less water) mix. • Use a clothes peg to reseal the pack. • Press in the mixed filler with a filling knife or trowel and finish with a slightly rounded surface. Where a smooth surface is required, slightly overfill the surface, allow to dry (approx. 5-6 hours), then sand smooth with medium grade sandpaper. • Leave for 24 hours, and then apply a suitable primer/undercoat before painting. • When applying in thin layers, do not over trowel. • Clean up with water before filler dries

Partix Multipurpose Filler Powder This product is ideal for filling cracks, holes and gaps inside the home. It is strong and can be easily sanded to a smooth finish ready for painting. When dry, it can be nailed or screwed without splitting or breaking. SUITABLE FOR Interior repairs to plaster, brick, plasterboard, masonry and timber. For repairs where movement occurs, use Parfix Gap Filler. PREPARATION Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust and loose material. Glossy surfaces should be roughened with sandpaper to provide key. MIXING Add 2½ parts of Parfix Multi-Purpose Filler to 1 part water (by volume) and mix thoroughly into a smooth paste with a clean filling knife. Once mixed, stays workable for up to 45 minutes.
