Suitable for residential fit-outs, maintenance, repairs, and light commercial projects. Suitable materials common building materials ceramics wood metals some plastics stone Typical applications General installation, repair, and maintenance where a durable bond is required. Interior work that benefits from a neat finish and tidy joints. Projects where dependable initial grab and high final strength are important. Surface preparation Ensure all surfaces are clean, sound, and dry. Remove dust, oil, release agents, laitance, and any loose or flaky material. For dense or non-porous surfaces, light abrasion improves key. Test adhesion on a small area if you are unsure about compatibility. Observe local safety requirements when sanding or cutting. Application Check ambient and substrate temperature. Apply between 10°C and 30°C. Cut the nozzle to the required bead size or prepare the container according to the product type. Apply an even bead or spread with a suitable trowel where required. Avoid trapping air. Press the materials together, ensuring full contact. For sheet goods, roll firmly to promote transfer and wetting. Support, clamp, or brace as needed until the adhesive develops sufficient handling strength. Cure and working time Cure time varies with product and conditions. Allow adequate time before loading or finishing. Cooler temperatures and high humidity will slow curing, while warmer, drier conditions accelerate it. Do not load or finish until the bond has developed adequate strength. Always follow best practice for ventilation and safe handling during cure. Coverage Coverage varies based on substrate profile, bead size, and installation method. As a guide, a 300 ml cartridge with a 6 mm round bead can lay several linear meters. For trowel applied adhesives, a notched trowel pattern will influence yield. Plan to have extra on hand for porous or uneven surfaces. Limitations Do not apply to surfaces that are visibly wet unless the product specifically allows damp application. Avoid continuous water immersion unless the product is rated for that exposure. Not all plastics are compatible; test on polypropylene, polyethylene, and PTFE if required. Observe maximum service temperature and any movement or vibration limits appropriate to the application. Clean up Clean uncured product with a suitable solvent or water as applicable. Always read the product label and follow local regulations for disposal of leftover material and containers. Safety Read the label before use and keep out of reach of children. Use in a well ventilated area. Wear protective gloves and eye protection. If on skin, wash with soap and water. If in eyes, rinse cautiously and seek medical advice if irritation persists. Do not ingest. Refer to the product Safety Data Sheet for detailed information. Storage Store upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep the cap or nozzle tightly closed when not in use. Do not allow to freeze unless the product literature states it is freeze-thaw stable. Rotate stock to use older product first. Troubleshooting Poor adhesion: Check surface prep, remove contaminants, and reapply with firm pressure. Slow cure: Verify temperature and humidity. Increase airflow or allow more time. Excess squeeze-out: Reduce bead size or spread more evenly. Clean residue before it skins. Frequently asked questions Can I paint over it? Many adhesives can be overcoated once cured. Test a small area with your paint system first. Is it suitable outdoors? Check the product label for outdoor rating. Protect fresh adhesive from rain until cured. What is the service temperature range? Typical service ranges suit most building environments. Avoid direct flame or extreme heat. How do I remove cured material? Mechanical methods are usually required. Work carefully to avoid damaging surrounding finishes. Why buy from Glues Australia We curate a focused range so you can choose faster and build better. • Packshot of Bastion High-Bond Stud Adhesive 5.2 kg

Bastion Bastion High-Bond Stud Adhesive 5.2 kg

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Bastion High-Bond Stud Adhesive 5.2 kg is a reliable stud adhesive for fixing plasterboard to timber or metal framing chosen for home repairs, trade work, and craft builds when you want a bond you can trust. Designed for Australian conditions, it balances strength, ease of use, and clean application so you can get professional results without special tools. The 5.2 kg pack is ideal for general work and keeps neatly in a toolbox or caddy. Why choose Bastion High-Bond for your next project Everyday jobs often involve mixed materials and imperfect surfaces. Bastion High-Bond Stud Adhesive 5.2 kg has been formulated to wet out well, grab quickly, and cure to a tough finish that resists movement and contact stress. It maintains bond integrity across common temperature swings and has dependable resistance to moisture and most household chemicals. Whether you are fixing, building, sealing, or assembling, this product gives you confidence from first squeeze through final set. Best for Plasterboard installation on studs Reducing screw count by bonding and fixing together Renovations where clean bond lines are important Suitable surfaces The adhesive works well on the following surface types when properly prepared: Timber studs Galvanised metal studs Plasterboard back surfaces Surface preparation Good preparation is the key to a long lasting repair. Remove loose material, dust, and grease. Wipe glossy areas with methylated spirits or an approved cleaner and allow to dry. On very smooth plastics and metals, lightly roughen with fine abrasive paper to give the adhesive a mechanical key. Dry fit parts first and mark alignment points so you can assemble accurately within the open time. If bonding porous materials, ensure both faces are dry and free of surface chalking. How to use Check fit and plan clamping. Do a trial run without adhesive so you know the order of steps. Apply a thin, continuous bead to one surface. For wide pieces, use a zig zag pattern to maximise wetting. Bring surfaces together within the stated open time of work within the wet time window to ensure transfer. Reseat once if needed, then hold steady. Apply even pressure using clamps, tape, weights, or temporary fasteners. Avoid squeezing all adhesive out of the joint. Allow to cure undisturbed. Initial handling strength will develop as the adhesive sets, with a full cure reached based on the chemistry described below. Cure profile Applies as a bead to studs. Press board into place and fix with screws while the adhesive is wet. Final cure occurs as the solvent or moisture leaves the bead. Temperature and environmental performance Use in dry, shaded conditions during lining work. Avoid application to very cold, sweating, or waterlogged surfaces. For outdoor use protect fresh bonds from rain until the skin has formed and the core has progressed in cure. Once fully cured, the bond resists normal weathering, splash water, and intermittent UV exposure based on the substrate and paint systems used. Clean up and finishing Remove fresh smears with a suitable cleaner. Trim cured squeeze out before finishing. When cured, excess can be carefully trimmed or sanded. For painted finishes, allow the adhesive to fully cure before priming. Test paint on a small area to confirm compatibility and drying behaviour. Coverage guide Coverage varies with bead size, surface porosity, and technique. As a general guide, a 3 mm bead yields approximately 10 to 12 linear meters per 310 mL cartridge. Smaller packs scale proportionally. Gaps, rough edges, and highly absorbent materials will reduce coverage. Plan an extra margin for offcuts and practice passes. Tips for best results Work within the recommended open time so the adhesive can properly wet the surfaces. Use light clamping pressure to keep parts aligned while maintaining a film thickness for strength. For very porous substrates, apply a thin precoat as a primer layer and allow it to tack before final assembly. Keep joint lines clean by masking edges with painter tape and removing it before the adhesive skins. Where movement or vibration is expected, design the joint to share load across a large area. Troubleshooting Poor adhesion: Check for oil, release agents, or surface dust. Reclean and lightly abrade if necessary. Slow cure: Low temperature and low humidity extend cure time. Maintain moderate conditions for best results. Visible squeeze out: Wipe fresh material with a suitable solvent and a soft cloth. Once cured, trim carefully. Bond line prints through paint: Allow a full cure, then prime and apply thin coats of paint, allowing proper drying between coats. Storage and shelf life Store closed and away from heat sources. Always check the pack for a lot code and use by guidance. Reseal immediately after use and store upright. Dispose of empty containers responsibly. Safety Read the label before use. Wear gloves when handling uncured material. Provide ventilation in enclosed areas. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep out of reach of children and pets. If sensitivity occurs, stop use and seek advice. Do not ingest. First aid directions and detailed handling information are available on the package and the safety data sheet. Frequently asked questions Can I bond dissimilar materials? Yes, provided each surface is clean and sound. Differences in expansion are managed by the adhesive film thickness and the inherent flexibility after cure. Is clamping required? Light clamping improves alignment and final strength. Excessive pressure can starve the joint of adhesive which reduces performance. Is the bond water resistant? Once cured the bond resists splash water and routine humidity. For permanent immersion choose an adhesive designed for underwater service and follow the manufacturer guidance. Planning your job Measure twice and cut once. Dry assemble parts so you can confirm squareness and alignment before adhesive is involved. Keep rags, clamps, and spacers ready. If you are new to the product, test on offcuts to get a feel for bead size and squeeze out. A consistent 1 to 2 mm bond line is a good starting point for most rigid materials. Thicker lines help when surfaces are uneven. Avoid starving the joint by pressing too hard without giving the adhesive a place to reside. Responsible use Choose an adhesive that suits the materials and the environment the finished piece will face. If a joint will be submerged, carry structural loads, or be exposed to strong chemicals, check the technical data sheet for specific guidance. Many general purpose products are perfect for day to day work, while specialised tasks call for a system designed and tested for that environment. Using the right product first saves time, money, and rework. Aftercare and maintenance Adhesive joints are remarkably strong when used correctly. Design repairs so that routine loads are shared across a generous area. Where heavy vibration is present, pair the adhesive bond with appropriate mechanical fasteners. Keep cleaning chemicals mild, and avoid abrasive pads on visible joints. If a bond will be repainted, choose flexible paint where movement is expected, and keep edges sealed to prevent dirt tracking along the bond line. Recycling and disposal Allow empty containers to cure before disposal. Check local council guidance for recycling of plastics and metal cartridges. Never pour uncured product into drains or soil. Wipe tools on scrap material and let residue harden before placing in general waste. Smart handling keeps the workspace clean and reduces environmental impact.

Easy clean-up off non-porous surfaces with mineral turpentine. Convenient to use non-slumping from vertical joints and easily extrudable. Long "open" time assists in the assembly of lap joints. Where can this product be used? Metals Paintwork Lacquered Work Machinery and Engines Sealing windscreens Metal lap joints in whitegoods and automotive bodies What materials is this product suitable for? Metal Glass Painted Surfaces Surfaces to be sealed must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease, old mastic and flaking paint. If necessary clean with degreasing solvent such as mineral turps. Cut nozzle supplied at an angle and to the required opening. Cut tip off cartridge, fit nozzle and insert in suitable caulking gun such as Selleys Light Speed caulking gun. If sealing lap joints, apply suitable size bead of D-Mastic to one surface through the intended fasten line. Bring surfaces together squeezing the mastic bead out on both surfaces and mechanically fix join where necessary. If sealing open joints, apply D-Mastic forcing it into the joint ahead of the nozzle. This method aids in properly filling the joint and forcing mastic to wet on to the sides of the joint. If required, smooth surface with spatula dipped into mineral turps or kerosene.  Limitations: Not an elastomeric compound, it should not be used in joints subject to considerable dynamic movement. Maximum service is achieved when used within joints; it is not recommended to be used as a"skim" coating over joints. Not recommended for use in joints required to resist static air or water pressure.  If sealing lap joints, apply suitable size bead of D-Mastic to one surface through the intended fasten line.  Bring surfaces together squeezing the mastic bead out on both surfaces and mechanically fix join where necessary. A heat resistant, solvent-based, flexible contact adhesive suitable for bonding both absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces. It forms an instant bond on contact of two surfaces. Features; Heat resistance up to 130C No clamping required Suitable for interior and exterior jobs Cured adhesive is resistant to dilute acids and alkalis Grabs immediately on contact Easy to spread Appearance: Yellowish to beige coloured opaque liquid with strong solvent odour. Where can this product be used? Bonding veneers of timber and laminated plastics, eg. Laminex and Formica to bench or table tops Areas where clamping or pressing facilities are either not available or difficult to use Patching vinyl flooring Replacing a vinyl tile Cork tiling Laying a vinyl floor Fixing shoes Fixing laminate to tables, benchtops etc Leather shoe and leather repairs, leather work eg handbags Repairing tents and outdoor equipment Adhering flexible or other material to Aluminium Joining, repairing holes in tents, car covers and other outdoor equipment Attaching rubbers to your fridge door Repairing your wetsuit Some plastics such as vinyl sheeting and polystyrene are attacked by Kwik Grip Solvent. Test in an inconspicuous area prior to application. Seek the advice of vinyl flooring manufacturers prior to use with their products as discolouration and bubbling can occur with some types. If in doubt, Kwik Grip Advanced is safe to use for all these applications and will provide excellent bonding. Contains highly flammable solvents and care should be taken to ensure all fire precautions are observed. As an alternative, Kwik Grip Advanced is non-flammable. Not suitable for bonding rough, ill-fitting surfaces. (Consider the suitability of alternative products such as Liquid Nails for these applications). What materials is this product suitable for? Cork Rubber Felt Canvas Leather Metals Timber Laminated plastics (laminex, formica) Hardboard Compressed board How to use this product: When bonding laminated plastics, ensure that surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry and free from grease or paint. Surfaces to be bonded should be relatively smooth and/or close fitting. Both surfaces should be completely covered with adhesive and kept apart till “touch dry” – no more than 40 minutes. Position the items carefully, still keeping surfaces apart. Remember once joined they cannot be repositioned. When edges are perfectly aligned, press surfaces firmly together. Secure bond by running a roller over the bonded surfaces or else by hammering the surface from the centre outwards using a padded block. For bonding other materials, apply as for laminated plastics above. When small surface areas are to be joined a wet bond may be used. Simply apply Kwik Grip Solvent to one surface then bring the surfaces together and clamp until dry. Handy tips: -Care should be taken to test plastics prior to use as solvents present will attack some polystyrene and sheet vinyls. -Up to 5sq.m/litre (bonded area 2.5sq.m/litre) depending on the porosity of surfaces. -For vertical surfaces, we recommend using SELLEYS Kwik Grip Gel Vertical. -For applications in confined or low ventilation areas eg car interior, we recommend using SELLEYS Kwik Grip Waterbased, as it is non-toxic and free of fumes. -Use a brush, knife or serrated scraper for application. -When using the contact method REMEMBER bonding is immediate once the two surfaces are joined. -Keep container sealed when not in use. -For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with mineral turpentine and then again with methylated spirits. If there is old, difficult to remove residue such as old paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as SELLEYS Kwik Strip Smart. Ensure the surface is dry before applying the product. -While wet, adhesive can be removed using mineral turps. Cured adhesive is very difficult to remove. Tools and other equipment on which Kwik Grip Horizontal has dried may be cleaned by soaking in Toluol or lacquer thinner. Excess adhesive on the face of the jointed materials may also be removed with solvent, but care should be taken that the materials themselves are not damaged by the solvent. -Keep a canister of SELLEYS Sugar Soap Wipes nearby for a quick and effective cleanup. Safety tips: -Ensure thorough ventilation when using. Avoid using in a confined space for prolonged periods. We recommend you use Kwik Grip Waterbased in these circumstances. -Highly flammable. Do NOT use in the same area as flame, fire or spark producing apparatus or machinery. -This product should not be accessible to juveniles, because of its solvent content. Intentional misuse by deliberately inhaling vapours from this product can be harmful or fatal. -Contact with skin and eyes should be avoided and avoid breathing vapour. -If in eyes flush with plenty of water for 15 minutes and seek medical advice. -If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Phone Australia 131 126 or New Zealand 0800 764 766. If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Give a glass of water and seek medical advice. -For further information refer to the Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). Storage and re-use Store in a cool area away from ignition sources and out of direct sunlight.

Gorilla Tape has taken duct tape to a new level. Gorilla Tape's toughness surpasses ordinary tapes, making the list of uses virtually endless. Made with double thick adhesive, strong reinforced backing, and a tough all-weather shell, it’s the biggest, strongest, toughest thing ever to happen to tape. It sticks to rough and uneven surfaces, including wood, stone, stucco and brick, that ordinary tapes can't hold. To us, it’s made the way tape should be: The Toughest on Planet Earth. Directions Use like any other tape. Tear Gorilla Tape by hand or cut to size with a knife or scissors. Apply the tape carefully, smoothing out any pockets or rolls. That’s it. Enjoy the strength and durability of Gorilla Tape! Does freezing/thawing affect Gorilla Tape? No, if Gorilla Tape freezes, it will work just fine once it returns to room temperature. What temperature range does Gorilla Tape require? Gorilla Tape works best at temperatures above 32°F (0°C). For best results, always apply the tape at room temperature. How do I store Gorilla Tape? To retain adhesive quality, store Gorilla Tape in a cool, dry place. Keep out of direct sunlight. Try storing the tape vertically (rather than laying flat), on a hook or on wax paper. If you have multiple rolls, keep your excess supply wrapped until they’re needed. Can I remove Gorilla Tape? Gorilla Tape can be removed, but with some difficulty and it may leave some residue. To remove any excess residue, we recommend using the tape itself as a blotter. How do I use Gorilla Tape? Surfaces should be clean and dust-free. We recommend rubbing the tape into the surface. This will help achieve a better bond. Can it be used instead of electrical tape? Gorilla Tape should not be used as electrical tape. Will Gorilla Tape work on rough surfaces? Yes! Gorilla Tape is designed to stick to rough surfaces including wood, stucco, plaster, brick, metal and more. Gorilla Tape is manufactured with a highly concentrated rubber based adhesive – two to three times as thick as traditional duct tape. The result is a tape that fills gaps and penetrates rough surfaces. It is important to clean the surface and brush off any loose particles and dirt before applying Gorilla Tape. Who should buy Gorilla Tape? Anyone who wants a quality tape that will last longer and holds stronger. 1. Do-it-yourselfers who know their labour justifies the use of better tools and materials. 2. Professionals who know quality materials affect a business reputation. 3. The “just-give-me-the-best” kind of person – someone with demanding applications or where re-taping is difficult. Is Gorilla Tape waterproof? We’ve found that Gorilla Tape will last a lot longer than regular duct tapes when it comes in contact with moisture. Make sure the surface is dry before you apply the tape, and we’re sure you’ll find this out for yourself. Does Gorilla Tape use Gorilla Glue as the adhesive? No, they are two different adhesives. Gorilla Glue is a polyurethane glue and the adhesive used on Gorilla Tape has been specially formulated for tape. What’s the difference between Gorilla Tape and regular duct tape? We took ordinary duct tape and made it better. We made it twice as thick and we use 2 to 3 times the amount of rubber based adhesive.

Betta Tilecare Wet Area Waterproofer is a flexible, fast-drying, liquid rubber membrane designed for waterproofing internal wet areas such as bathrooms, showers, laundries, and tiled spaces. It provides a durable, seamless moisture barrier that resists water pressure and prevents leaks when applied beneath tiles, screeds, or surface coatings. Surface Preparation: All surfaces must be clean, dry, and structurally sound. Remove dust, oil, grease, wax, and loose or flaking material. Smooth, glossy surfaces should be roughened or etched. Rough or uneven surfaces should be patched and leveled. Mechanically remove any surface contamination or de-bonded coatings for optimal adhesion. Priming (if required): Use a compatible primer on highly porous, glossy, or damp surfaces to promote adhesion. Ensure primed surfaces are dry before applying the membrane. Application Instructions: Apply a bond breaker system such as joint tape or fabric to corners, joints, and penetrations. Apply the first coat using a brush or roller, working it into the surface to avoid pinholes. Allow the first coat to dry (approx. 1 hour), then apply the second coat in the opposite direction. Total coverage should be at least 1.5L/m², forming a final dried film thickness of approximately 1.2mm. Coverage should extend up walls at least 150mm in general areas and 1800mm in shower recesses. Allow the membrane to cure fully before tiling or overcoating. Coverage: Approximately 1.5L per square metre for two coats, depending on surface porosity. Drying Time: Tack-free: 45 minutes Recoat: 1 hour Ready for tiling: 4 hours Flood test ready: 16 hours Dry times may vary based on temperature and humidity. Clean Up: Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Technical Data: Base: Water-based liquid rubber Colour: Grey Finish: Flexible, seamless membrane Dried Film Thickness: Approx. 1.2mm (after two coats) Application Temp: 5°C to 35°C Shelf Life: Refer to packaging for details
