Easy to clean once applied, as it resists moisture, hot cooking oils, and steam. Superior flexibility with +/- 25% movement capability and up to 400% elongation or stretch. Temperature resistance: approximately -60°C to +150°C. 25-year guarantee – when used as directed, i.e., for private use and within 12 months of purchase, the product is guaranteed against crumbling, cracking, or drying. Where can this product be used? Showers and sinks Metal, copper, and brass fittings Perfect for use on or around: Showers Baths Spas Sinks Plumbing Fixtures Can not be painted over. Not suitable for building materials that bleed oils or solvents, such as impregnated wood. Not for use on polyethylene, polypropylene, or Teflon. Pre-test plastics before use. What materials is this product suitable for? Ceramic, glazed & porcelain fixtures Metal, copper, and brass fittings Plastic laminates Rubber Glass Stainless steel Concrete and grouts Many plastics including polystyrene How to use this product Thoroughly clean and dry the surface from oil, dirt, and grease with Mineral Turpentine first and then Methylated Spirits. Allow to dry completely before applying silicone. If there is old silicone that needs to be removed, we recommend using SELLEYS SILICONE REMOVER. This ingenious product makes removing old silicone easy. We also recommend sanding the surface back with a good quality sanding block, such as a ROTA COTA Sanding Block Medium/Course Grain, as the silicone will adhere more readily to a scratched-up surface. Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. Cut the seal at the top of the cartridge and cut the nozzle at a 45° angle, to the size of the gap opening. Fit the nozzle to the top of the cartridge. Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as the SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking Gun. We recommend this caulking gun, as its new innovative pressure release design reduces the mess from run-on and stress on your hands, which is critical if you are doing a lot of sealing. Hold the caulking gun at a 45° angle. Press the nozzle opening against the joint, apply steady pressure to the caulking gun, and extrude the silicone sealant. Move in a pushing motion along the joint in one smooth action. For a smooth finish, smooth with a finger dipped in mineral turpentine or, for a professional finish, use a paint scraper such as a 50mm ROTA COTA Soft Grip Scraper dipped in mineral turpentine. Excess sealant must be cleaned up before it skins in 5-10 minutes. Wipe excess away with a cloth dampened in mineral turpentine or use a SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipe. Remove tape before the sealant skins. Clean tools immediately with mineral turpentine. Avoid smearing on surrounding surfaces. The sealant will cure fully in 72 hours. At this point, any unwanted sealant can be removed by trimming with a sharp blade, but avoid undercutting the seal. Handy Tips Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product for a neat finish and easy cleanup. When first applying, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of silicone sealant. Remove the tape before the silicone sealant skins. For a better finish, complete painting prior to using the sealant as it cannot be painted over. Use a spatula dipped in mineral turpentine or detergent and water to tool off the sealant for a better finish. Work in sections that can be completed before the sealant skins. Tooling off and tape removal must be completed before skinning occurs for a better finish. Keep a pack of SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipes handy to wipe up spills and clean any material off the skin before it cures. Safety Tips Uncured product may irritate eyes. If in eyes, flood the eyes for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice. Avoid contact with skin. If contact occurs, wipe off immediately and wash with detergent. It may irritate sensitive skin. Avoid breathing in vapours. Ensure you use a well-ventilated area as the product releases methyl ethyl ketoxime while curing. For advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre (AUS 131 126; NZ 0800 764 766) or a doctor. For further detail on the safe use of this product, please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet, which can be downloaded from this site. Keep away from children. Storage and Re-Use Store in cool dry conditions, below 30°C. The sealant should be used within 6 months after opening. After use, keep the nozzle on the cartridge. Silicone is a reactive product and cures once exposed to humidity. For longer storage periods, leave the nozzle on and place plasticene or Blu Tack over the end of the nozzle. Tightly tape a piece of aluminium foil over the whole nozzle to exclude any air. When re-using, simply remove the foil and plug from the old nozzle, pull out the excess silicone, and re-pierce the tip of the cartridge. If cure has occurred inside the cartridge, the product is no longer usable and should be discarded.

  • Packshot of Tarzan’s Grip Fast-Set 5 Minute Epoxy Adhesive 24 mL

Selleys Tarzan’s Grip Fast-Set 5 Minute Epoxy Adhesive 24 mL

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Tarzan’s Grip Fast-Set 5 Minute Epoxy Adhesive 24 mL is a reliable two part fast setting epoxy adhesive for durable repairs chosen for home repairs, trade work, and craft builds when you want a bond you can trust. Designed for Australian conditions, it balances strength, ease of use, and clean application so you can get professional results without special tools. The 24 mL pack is ideal for general work and keeps neatly in a toolbox or caddy. Why choose Tarzan's Grip Grip for your next project Everyday jobs often involve mixed materials and imperfect surfaces. Tarzan’s Grip Fast-Set 5 Minute Epoxy Adhesive 24 mL has been formulated to wet out well, grab quickly, and cure to a tough finish that resists movement and contact stress. It maintains bond integrity across common temperature swings and has dependable resistance to moisture and most household chemicals. Whether you are fixing, building, sealing, or assembling, this product gives you confidence from first squeeze through final set. Best for Household and workshop repairs that need speed and strength Fixing fixtures, brackets, and hardware Filling chips and rebuilding small edges before sanding Suitable surfaces The adhesive works well on the following surface types when properly prepared: Metal hardware Ceramic tiles Most rigid plastics except polyethylene and polypropylene Timber and MDF Stone and concrete Surface preparation Good preparation is the key to a long lasting repair. Remove loose material, dust, and grease. Wipe glossy areas with methylated spirits or an approved cleaner and allow to dry. On very smooth plastics and metals, lightly roughen with fine abrasive paper to give the adhesive a mechanical key. Dry fit parts first and mark alignment points so you can assemble accurately within the open time. If bonding porous materials, ensure both faces are dry and free of surface chalking. How to use Check fit and plan clamping. Do a trial run without adhesive so you know the order of steps. Apply a thin, continuous bead to one surface. For wide pieces, use a zig zag pattern to maximise wetting. Bring surfaces together within the stated open time of 3 to 5 minutes working time. Reseat once if needed, then hold steady. Apply even pressure using clamps, tape, weights, or temporary fasteners. Avoid squeezing all adhesive out of the joint. Allow to cure undisturbed. Initial handling strength will develop as the adhesive sets, with a full cure reached based on the chemistry described below. Cure profile Initial set is reached in about 5 minutes at 23 C. Sandable after several hours. Achieves high final strength after a full overnight cure. Temperature and environmental performance Performs well across typical domestic temperature ranges after cure. Avoid application to very cold, sweating, or waterlogged surfaces. For outdoor use protect fresh bonds from rain until the skin has formed and the core has progressed in cure. Once fully cured, the bond resists normal weathering, splash water, and intermittent UV exposure based on the substrate and paint systems used. Clean up and finishing Clean uncured excess with acetone on a cloth. Use care on painted substrates. When cured, excess can be carefully trimmed or sanded. For painted finishes, allow the adhesive to fully cure before priming. Test paint on a small area to confirm compatibility and drying behaviour. Coverage guide Coverage varies with bead size, surface porosity, and technique. As a general guide, a 3 mm bead yields approximately 10 to 12 linear meters per 310 mL cartridge. Smaller packs scale proportionally. Gaps, rough edges, and highly absorbent materials will reduce coverage. Plan an extra margin for offcuts and practice passes. Tips for best results Work within the recommended open time so the adhesive can properly wet the surfaces. Use light clamping pressure to keep parts aligned while maintaining a film thickness for strength. For very porous substrates, apply a thin precoat as a primer layer and allow it to tack before final assembly. Keep joint lines clean by masking edges with painter tape and removing it before the adhesive skins. Where movement or vibration is expected, design the joint to share load across a large area. Troubleshooting Poor adhesion: Check for oil, release agents, or surface dust. Reclean and lightly abrade if necessary. Slow cure: Low temperature and low humidity extend cure time. Maintain moderate conditions for best results. Visible squeeze out: Wipe fresh material with a suitable solvent and a soft cloth. Once cured, trim carefully. Bond line prints through paint: Allow a full cure, then prime and apply thin coats of paint, allowing proper drying between coats. Storage and shelf life Keep sealed to prevent crystallisation. Store upright at moderate temperature. Always check the pack for a lot code and use by guidance. Reseal immediately after use and store upright. Dispose of empty containers responsibly. Safety Read the label before use. Wear gloves when handling uncured material. Provide ventilation in enclosed areas. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep out of reach of children and pets. If sensitivity occurs, stop use and seek advice. Do not ingest. First aid directions and detailed handling information are available on the package and the safety data sheet. Frequently asked questions Can I bond dissimilar materials? Yes, provided each surface is clean and sound. Differences in expansion are managed by the adhesive film thickness and the inherent flexibility after cure. Is clamping required? Light clamping improves alignment and final strength. Excessive pressure can starve the joint of adhesive which reduces performance. Is the bond water resistant? Once cured the bond resists splash water and routine humidity. For permanent immersion choose an adhesive designed for underwater service and follow the manufacturer guidance. Planning your job Measure twice and cut once. Dry assemble parts so you can confirm squareness and alignment before adhesive is involved. Keep rags, clamps, and spacers ready. If you are new to the product, test on offcuts to get a feel for bead size and squeeze out. A consistent 1 to 2 mm bond line is a good starting point for most rigid materials. Thicker lines help when surfaces are uneven. Avoid starving the joint by pressing too hard without giving the adhesive a place to reside. Responsible use Choose an adhesive that suits the materials and the environment the finished piece will face. If a joint will be submerged, carry structural loads, or be exposed to strong chemicals, check the technical data sheet for specific guidance. Many general purpose products are perfect for day to day work, while specialised tasks call for a system designed and tested for that environment. Using the right product first saves time, money, and rework. Aftercare and maintenance Adhesive joints are remarkably strong when used correctly. Design repairs so that routine loads are shared across a generous area. Where heavy vibration is present, pair the adhesive bond with appropriate mechanical fasteners. Keep cleaning chemicals mild, and avoid abrasive pads on visible joints. If a bond will be repainted, choose flexible paint where movement is expected, and keep edges sealed to prevent dirt tracking along the bond line. Recycling and disposal Allow empty containers to cure before disposal. Check local council guidance for recycling of plastics and metal cartridges. Never pour uncured product into drains or soil. Wipe tools on scrap material and let residue harden before placing in general waste. Smart handling keeps the workspace clean and reduces environmental impact.

Durabond is moisture curing, high strength, polyurethane construction adhesive. It has high strength and water resistance making it excellent for jobs requiring extra durability, both interior and exterior.Durabond is sandable, paintable and stainable. It is suitable for bonding wood to almost anything. A superior adhesive, it is also excellent for bonding  Features Super Durable High Strength 100% waterproof* – *(not for permanent water immersion) Bonds wood to almost anything Acid & chemical Resistant – PVA’s break down with acid/alkaline contact Versatile can be used to bond surfaces other than wood Heat resistant up to 140 deg Generous working time (10 minutes) Expands as it dries Sandable – easy, will not clog sandpaper like other PVA emulsion glues Paintable Stainable after sanding The product is a brown liquid and turns a light yellow when fully cured Can be used for gap filling Can Also be used to bond surfaces other than wood I.e metal to metal Bonds MDF Non-Toxic (once fully cured) Where can this product be used? Interior and exterior Sauna or cabinet repairs in high heat areas Bonding Timber to other surfaces (metal etc) Cubby House with metal roof & floor lining Planter boxes Steps leading off a verandah Timber letterbox to a metal support frame Window frame Decorative timber to a pergola Interior panels of a boat Repairing wooden boat oars Repairing wooden handles on tools Timber joinery Laminating chopping boards Requires atmospheric moisture to cure, therefore use may be restricted in dry conditions (refer to tips for advice) Cannot be used if application temperature is below 5°C For best results, one surface should be porous Not suitable for below waterline applications or continuous submersion, for this we recommend Knead-It Aqua Not recommended for structural applications Not recommended for vertical projects due to runny consistency While Aquadhere Durabond can adhere to damp surfaces excess moisture can result in increased foaming and a weakened joint. Ensure tight clamping or weighting to reduce foaming Surfaces should be clamped tightly or weighted What materials is this product suitable for? MDF Glass Metal Concrete Ceramic Most plastics (will not adhere to polyethylene or polypropylene, test other plastics first). All timbers How to use this product Surfaces to be bonded must be close fitting, clean, dust and grease free. Wipe very dry porous surfaces with a damp cloth 1 minute before bonding. Apply a thin layer of adhesive evenly to one surface only. Glue expands and foams as it cures. Assemble parts together within 10 minutes and clamp firmly or weight to hold until cured. Wipe nozzle clean and seal container tightly. (to prevent remaining product from hardening in the container). Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately with acetone. After drying, any excess adhesive can only be removed by scraping, sanding, filing or cutting. Clean tools with acetone or white turpetine immediatly after use (before adhesive dries). Handy tips 1L covers approx. 8m2 It is advisable to wear gloves (adhesive bonds to skin and is extremely difficult to remove from skin). For bonding with smooth surface materials such as glass, plastics or metals, we suggested sanding or roughening the surface. The tighter you clamp, the better bond you will obtain (as Durabond expands). Wipe nozzle clean and seal container tightly. (to prevent remaining product from hardening in the container.) Wipe oily timber surfaces with acetone on a clean rag to remove any surface oils & allow to dry before applying adhesive. In extremely dry conditions or for extremely dry surfaces (eg terracotta) wipe surfaces with a damp rag prior to bonding to ensure sufficent moisture is present to cure product. Surfaces should not be wet. It is recommended to use the entire contents of a pack within 6 months of opening. Product may form a hard skin on the surface during this period. Usable material is normally still present beneath this skin and can be accessed by breaking the hardened layer. For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with mineral turpentine and then again with methylated spirits. If there is old, difficult to remove residue such as old paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as SELLEYS Kwik Strip Smart. Ensure the surface is dry before applying the product. If glue comes in contact with hands, use acetone or white spirits to remove immediately and then rinse off with soapy water followed by hand creme. Alternatively wipe hands regularly while using Aquadhere Durabond. Once cured, adhesive is extremely difficult to remove from skin. If cured material is discovered on the skin, then rub vegetable oil or Vitamin E cream into the area repeatedly to accelerate the natural process of the skin shedding, which will in turn cause the cured product to fall off. Safety tips Contains organic isocyanate polymers. On contact, uncured adhesive can irritate eyes. If in eyes, flood the eyes for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice. Avoid contact with skin, if contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing or flush skin and hair with running water. Avoid breathing vapours. Ensure use in a well-ventilated area. Product releases methyl ethyl ketoxime while curing. For advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre (AUS 131 126; NZ 0800 764 766) or a doctor. Warning: this product contains organic isocyanate polymers. This product has been classified as hazardous according to the criteria of NOHSC and HSNO. For further detail on the safe use of this product, please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet, which can be downloaded from this site. Keep away from children. Storage and re-use Clean tools with acetone or white spirit immediately after use (before adhesive dried). Storage – For maximum shelf life store inside at moderate temperatures in dry conditions. Keep tightly closed to prevent moisture and air contact. It is recommended to use the entire contents of a pack within 6 months of opening. Product may form a hard skin on the surface during this period. Usable material is normally still present beneath this skin and can be accessed by breaking the hardened layer.materials other than wood.

Industrial grade PVA, especially developed for use by professional woodworkers and craftsmen, for large projects. Off-white in colour, drying to a light coloured clear film. Features Excellent performance properties for repairs or building projects No mixing required Suitable for exterior use in non-structural applications Heat resistant to 110°C (bonds will not weaken in exposure to direct summer sun) Can be chiselled, routed or turned Suitable for end grain gluing – won’t stain timber, cream in colour, but dries clear with a slight yellow tint Non-toxic Sandable – will not clog sandpaper like other PVA emulsion glues More water resistant than Aquadhere interior Has a higher heat resistance than Aquadhere interior Paintable Provides a stronger bond than Aquadhere interior for larger jobs Bonds MDF Weather resistant Cleans up with water Where can this product be used? Cabinet and furniture making Timber letterbox Making a bookshelf Restoring furniture Gluing cupboard shelves for additional support Repairing a door frame or window Repairing or building wooden outdoor furniture Indoor furniture Storage chest for tools Pot plant stand Dog kennel Bed heads Timber joinery Wooden toys Unsuitable for use on coated wallpaper overlaps eg vinyl Will not take common timber stains Not recommended for joints that are subjected to constant high stress. Instead, use Selleys 308 High Stress wood glue Not suitable for below waterline applications or continuous submersion. We recommend Selleys Knead It Aqua for these situations. What materials is this product suitable for? Softwoods Plywood Joinery Hardwoods MDF Laminating Particleboard Dowelling Veneering Chipboard How to use this product Surfaces to be bonded must be close fitting, free from dust, dry and clean from grease. Shake bottle before use Apply adhesive liberally to one surface only, position surfaces and press together while still wet. Immediately clamp for 30 minutes for softwoods and 1 hour for hardwoods. Alternatively, low clamping pressures (50lbs/in2) can be used with softwoods; higher pressures are recommended for hardwoods (100 – 150lbs/in2). Do not stress joint for 12 hours. Wipe off excess adhesive while still wet with a damp cloth. If the wood is to be stained, any residual Aquadhere left on the timber surface may prevent the stain from taking to the wood. Maximum strength is achieved after 12 hours, but longer in cold, damp conditions, or when used on dense timbers. Clean all tools with water before adhesive is allowed to dry. If dry, soak in water until adhesive is soft. Cure slows significantly in humid, cold conditions. Handy tips 1L covers approx. 5m2 To fill small gaps, Aquadhere can be mixed with sawdust. Longer clamping times may be required for joints under high stress, or alternatively use 308 High Stress Wood Glue. Avoid contaminating Aquadhere Exterior with iron and steel, eg nails, etc. Aquadhere contaminated with rust (iron oxide) will stain brown/black in the presence of tannins in many woods. Painting or varnishing constructions made of porous softwoods will improve the resistance of bonds to water exposure. On very porous surfaces applying a thin layer to each side and allowing to soaking in before applying a second layer to one side only may result in a stronger bond. If you are gluing over a larger surface, try using a small roller to aid in application. PVA adhesive specially formulated for interior woodworking repairs and projects. White in colour, dries clear and cleans up easily with water. Features No mixing required – Ready to use straight from the pack Suitable for end grain gluing – won’t stain timber, white in colour, but dries clear. Non-toxic Dries Clear Cleans up with water Where can this product be used? School projects and craft Furniture repairs Repair a split trim Fix a broken photo frame Restoring furniture Fix a wobbly chair Gluing cupboard shelves for additional support Repairing a door frame or window Fix a wine rack Re-attach book cover/spine or repair torn bindings Fix a broken drawer Wooden toy repairs Craft projects Unsuitable for use on coated wallpaper overlaps eg vinyl Although Aquadhere is reasonably water resistant, it is not recommended for use in water or weather exposed situations or for any job where maximum water resistance is required (for weather exposed and/or wet areas we recommend Aquadhere exterior or Aquadhere Durabond). Will not take common timber stains Aquadhere is not recommended for joints that are subjected to constant high stress. Instead, use Selleys 308 High Stress wood glue. Do not use on projects that you need to be able to sand, as Aquadhere Interior is not sandable. Will not bond MDF, we recommend using Aquadhere Exterior What materials is this product suitable for? End grain gluing Craftwork Cloth Paper Mosaics Leather Other craft materials How to use this product Surfaces to be bonded must be close fitting, free from dust, dry and clean from grease. On very porous surfaces applying a thin layer to each side and allowing to soaking in before applying a second layer to one side only may result in a stronger bond Cured adhesive can be resoftened by prolonged contact with hot water or steam. Sanding isn’t an effective way to prepare for gluing, as it often leaves an uneven surface and may clog the timber which can stop the glue from penetrating and impact on your result. A straight router can be used to trim the edge, but be sure to only remove as much as required to obtain a suitable edge for gluing. If you are gluing over a larger surface, try using a small roller to aid in application. For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. Selleys Araldite Quick Set Epoxy Adhesive 90 Second Bond Easy Mix Rigid Bond 14ml

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

A very fast setting two part epoxy adhesive. Initial bonding achieved in 90 seconds with maximum bond strength after 16 hours. Features Araldite is stronger than other glues due to the chemical reaction of the two parts Bonds a variety of surfaces Dries Clear Very quick setting in 90 seconds No clamping necessary Moderate water resistance Forms a rigid, durable bond Can be used for gap filling Good chemical resistance Where can this product be used? General small household repairs Fixing gemstones to mounts Repairing metal toys Not suitable for bonding plastics such as Polypropylene and Polyethylene Bond strength weakens above 65°C but strength is regained when temperature drops What materials is this product suitable for? Glass Metal Wood Fabric Most Plastics How to use this product General Use Before applying the Araldite mixture, all surfaces MUST be thoroughly clean and dry. All traces of grease, rust paint, etc. should be removed. For best results smooth surfaces should be roughened by mechanical abrasion after solvent cleaning. Onto a clean, disposable surface (e.g. polyethylene or cardboard), dispense equal volumes of Part A and Part B. Thoroughly mix together with a spatula, nail or stick. When using the tubes it is essential to use the correct mixing ratio, i.e. 1 part each Apply adhesive immediately to both surfaces and press together. Scrape off excess adhesive and wipe mixing utensils immediately. Ensure correct caps are replaced on each tube or they will adhere. Handy tips Note: For information on how to identify plastics refer to the Selleys plastics guide. For maximum working time, mix in small quantities. Large quantities accelerate the curing process and reduce working time. To extend product life replace caps immediately after use. Ensure you wipe excess from nozzle with a tissue dipped in acetone (or nail polish remover) before replacing cap. When using the tube variant, ensure you replace the correct cap on the correct tube. Placing the wrong cap on the wrong tube will cause the tube to harden. (lids and tubes are colour coded to help) Wipe off any uncured Araldite with acetone or nail polish remover. To remove product after cure, mechanical action (scraping or sanding) is recommended. Since the product is chemically resistant solvent will NOT dissolve this product. To reposition the bond once cured, check that the item is heat resistant. If safe, heat the item slowly, e.g. in an oven, to at least 150oC. The product will soften and liquify slightly. Scrape off any excess then reposition the joint carefully using appropriate safety equipment. Allow the item to cool down in the correct position. The product will reharden once returned to room temperature. Clamping recommended for a stronger bond. Singles are great for those unexpected household breakages, so keep a couple at home just in case. Keep a box of Selleys Sugar Soap Wipes around for quick & effective clean up For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using Selleys Liquid Sugar Soap. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with Methylated Spirits. If there is old difficult to remove residue such as cold paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as Selleys Kwik Strip Smart. Ensure the surface is dry before applying the product.

High-Grade Neutral Cure Silicone A high-grade neutral (non-corrosive) cure silicone formulated for superior adhesion to cement (e.g., grout). The product also contains a fungicidal protector for excellent mould and fungal resistance. Features Superior adhesion to mortar, grout, and metals. As the product does not lift at the edges and adheres so well to cement and grout, dirt, mould, and fungus will not become trapped, preventing unsightly black mould spots. Superior silicone formulation forms a durable seal that locks out water and does not shrink when drying. Built-in fungicide to inhibit the growth of mould. Available in a range of colours to suit most wet areas. Non-corrosive neutral cure formula. Low odour, so can be used in any environment without discomfort.

Do not grout at temperatures below 10°C, or in damp conditions. Before grouting, check ease of removal from matt or textured tile surfaces. Seal porous tiles before grouting or removal of grout from tiles will be difficult. Application Cut seal, screw on nozzle, cut to size. Apply with a caulking gun, forcing grout into joints (for cartridge only). Grout small areas at a time. Work the grout into the joints and smooth off using a rubber squeegee or grout float, moving diagonally across the joints with several passes to compact the grout lines and minimise the amount left on the face of the tiles – avoid moving along the joint as this removes grout from the joint. Tip: hold float/squeegee at 45° angle; clean regularly. Clean up with water, before grout sets. Allow grout to firm up in joints for approx 20 min (longer in colder conditions). Using a damp (not wet) sponge, clean tile surfaces, by wiping lightly, in a circular motion. Finish with a single wipe diagonally across the tile with a clean damp ( not wet) sponge. Avoid repeated wiping as this may remove grout which is not yet fully set, from the joints. Buff and polish the tile surface, after 24hours, with a soft clean cloth. Limitations: Not for areas frequently immersed in water eg. Shower floors. Allow to dry for 3 days before exposing grout to water on shower walls. Handy tips If the grout is overworked or excessive water is used to smooth off, it may appear to shrink – simply apply a second coat to affected areas. *To maintain whiteness and long term stain & mould resistance: Allow grout to set for 3 days before sealing Selleys White For Life Sealer for maximum stain resistance. Reapply sealer annually or whenever grout has been scrubbed hard. Clean grout and tiles regularly with Selleys White For Life Tile & Grout Cleaner to avoid build up of soil or soap scrum. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Thoroughly clean and dry surface from oil, dirt and grease with mineral turps. Cut the seal at the top of the cartridge and cut the nozzle at a 45° angle, to the size of the gap opening. Fit the nozzle to the top of the cartridge and insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as Selleys Light Speed Caulking gun. Hold the caulking gun at a 45° angle and gun sealant ahead of nozzle ensuring product is pushed into joint. For a smooth finish, tool with a spatula dipped in soapy water. Clean up before sealant skins in 5-10 minutes, with a cloth dampened in mineral turps. Sealant will cure in 72 hours. At this point any unneeded sealant can be removed by trimming with a sharp blade, but avoid under-cutting the seal. Limitation: • Not paintable. Complete painting 7 days prior to applying sealant. • Not recommended for use as a plug for burst pipes. • Do not use in below waterline applications. ^Not for use on polyethylene, polypropylene or Teflon - pre-test plastics before use Handy tips For neater joints, mask sides before applying sealant and remove tape before sealant skins. When first applying product, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of silicone sealant. For a better finish use a spatula dipped in mineral turps or soapy water to tool off the sealant. Work in sections that can be completed before sealant skins. Tooling off and tape removal must be completed before skinning occurs or a rough surface may result, so working in sections allows for a better finish. If there is old silicone which needs to be removed, we recommend using Selleys Silicone Remover, this ingenious product makes removing old silicone easy. *Warranty Information * Refer to product label for full conditions. This guarantee does not limit and may not necessarily exceed your rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010. Clean up Uncured product may be removed with mineral turps. Temperature resistance – approximately -40°C +93°C Has a 25 year guarantee – when used as directed, i.e. for private use and within 12 months of purchase, the product is guaranteed against crumbling, cracking or drying. May be discoloured by contact with alloys containing brass, copper or zinc. Do not allow unused product to freeze. Where can this product be used? 10879.Window frames that need painting 102879.Capstones Masonry walls that need painting Perfect for use on or around: Bricks and concrete Windows frames Tiled and wooden fixtures Areas where a sealant is needed and where you want to paint it Not suitable for use in below waterline applications. Not suitable for use on oily woods such as cypress, teak or cedar. Not for use on polyethylene, polypropylene or Teflon. Pre-test plastics before use. What materials is this product suitable for? Glass Aluminium Fibre Cement Painted Surfaces Ceramics Masonry Most metals Most plastics Wood How to use this product Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. When first applying product, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of sealant. Remove the tape before the sealant skins. For a better finish use a spatula dipped in detergent and water to tool off the sealant. Allow the surfaces to skin prior to painting, which is approximately 30 minutes. Protect from rain until firmly skinned. Allow for longer skin and cure times in damp conditions. Some water based under coats & flat paints may crack on drying. To reduce this effect allows the product to cure for 24 hours in small gaps or 48 hours in larger gaps before painting with such paints. To improve the paint finish, wipe the sealant with detergent solution immediately before painting. Avoid smearing sealant on the surrounding surfaces as this may effects its paintability. Work in sections that can be completed before sealant skins. Tooling off and tape removal must be completed before skinning occurs or a rough surface may result so working in sections allows for a better finish. Keep a pack of SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipes handy to wipe up any spills and for cleaning any material off the skin before it cures. They are an easy and effective way to keep clean on the job. Safety tips Uncured product may irritate eyes. If in eyes, flood the eyes for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice. Avoid contact with skin, if contact occurs, wipe off immediately and wash with detergent. It may irrtate sensitive skin. Avoid breathing in vapours. Ensure you use a well ventilated area as product releases methyl ethyl ketoxime while curing. For advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre (AUS 131 126; NZ 0800 764 766) or a doctor. For further detail on the safe use of this product, please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet, which can be downloaded from this site. Keep away from children. Storage and re-use Store in cool dry conditions, below 30°C The sealant should be used within 6 months after opening. After use keep the nozzle on the cartridge Silicone is a reactive product and is designed to cure once exposed to air. While the product may be stored for a few months once opened, it does have a limited shelf life. Storage in an upright position in a cool dry place is recommended to maximise the storage life. If the sealant is going to be used again within a few days, leave the nozzle on and merely extrude approximately 2 cm of product before storing the cartridge upright. This will cure to a plug which can easily be pulled out when required. For longer storage periods, leave the nozzle on and place a piece of plasticene or Blu Tack over the end of the nozzle. Tightly tape a piece of aluminium foil over the whole nozzle to exclude any air. When you want to re-use the product, simply take off the foil and plug from the old nozzle pull out the excess silicone from the nozzle with a corkscrew, then re-pierce any cure at the tip of the cartridge and re-use. If cure has taken place into the cartridge, the product is unlikely to be in a useable state and should be discarded.

Between window and door frames and the wall. Along skirting boards. Around cornices. Between benchtops and tiles which are not exposed to water. In corners or between walls and ceilings Between cabinets and cupboards Around air conditioning vents and the ceiling Where shrinkage or movement has caused rigid fillers to crack Gaps with the maximum width of 25mm and depth of 12mm.  What materials is this product suitable for? Timber Brick & Concrete Plasterboard, particleboard & fibre cement sheeting Masonry Ceramic Tiles Glass Aluminium Bare or painted surfaces Colorbond Many other building materials How To Use Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dust, grease, flaking/powdery paint and old or crumbling caulk. Cut the seal and nozzle and fit to the top of the cartridge. Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as Selleys Light Speed Caulking gun. Hold the caulking gun at a 45° angle and apply, forcing product into gap Smooth with a wet finger or spatula Clean up excess with a damp cloth immediately and clean hands and tools with water. Allow surface to skin thoroughly prior to painting with water-based paints. If oil-based paints are to be used, or if gaps are large, allow sealant to set for about 24 hours and ensure the product is completely cured. Avoid water contact until fully cured- 72 hours or longer in cold weather. Limitations: Not recommended for foot traffic areas, gaps between tongue and groove boards or weatherboard overlaps. Use Selleys(R) No More Gaps(R) Timber Flooring Flexible Gap Filler for gaps between tongue and groove boards. Use Selleys(R) No More Gaps(R) Exterior & Weatherboard Gap Filler for weatherboard overlaps.  Not suitable for areas in prolonged contact with water eg. showers, pools & spas. Where significant joint movement occurs, or for areas of frequent water immersion, use the appropriate Selleys(R) Silicone  Sealant. Do not apply or store below 5°C.  Handy Tips Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. When first applying the product, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of gap filler. If you are going to wipe off the excess gap filler with a wet finger, ensure you wet your finger with water and not saliva, as saliva contains bacteria and this will increase the chances of mould growing in your gap filler. Allow the surfaces to the skin prior to painting, which is approximately 30 minutes. Protect from rain until firmly skinned. Allow for longer skin and cure times in damp conditions. Some water-based undercoats and flat paints may crack on drying. To reduce this effect allows the product to cure for 24 hours in small gaps or 48 hours in larger gaps before painting with such paints. Keep a pack of Selleys Sugar Soap Wipe handy to wipe up any spills and for cleaning. They are an easy and effective way to keep clean on the job.

Clean up excess with a damp cloth immediately and clean hands and tools with water. Allow to skin (about 20 minutes) before painting with water-based paints. If oil-based paints are to be used, or if gaps are large, allow sealant to set for about 24 hours and ensure the product is completely cured. Limitations: For gaps between tongue and groove boards and weatherboards use No More Gaps® Exterior & Weatherboard. Where movement is excessive or for areas where contact with water is frequent, use the appropriate Selleys® Silicone Sealant.  Handy Tips To avoid paint cracking, apply at temperatures above 10°C and do not apply paint too thick. Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. When first applying product, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of gap filler, and a perfect finish. If you are going to wipe off the excess gap filler with a wet finger, ensure you wet your finger with water and not saliva, as saliva contains bacteria and this will increase the chances of mould growing in your gap filler. Allow the surfaces to skin prior to painting, which is approximately 20 minutes. Protect from rain until firmly skinned. Allow for longer skin and cure times in damp conditions. Some water based under coats and flat paints may crack on drying. To reduce this effect allows the product to cure for 24 hours in small gaps or 48 hours in larger gaps before painting with such paints. For exterior applications protect from rain until firmly skinned. Keep a pack of Selleys Sugar Soap Wipes handy to wipe up any spills and for cleaning. They are an easy and effective way to keep clean on the job.
