A solvent-based, heat resistant, flexible contact adhesive suitable for bonding both absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces. It forms an instant bond on contact of two surfaces. The gel form allows application without dripping or ‘stringing’. Great for vertical surfaces. Features Heat resistance up to 130C No clamping required Suitable for interior and exterior jobs Cured adhesive is resistant to dilute acids and alkalis Immediate set on contact. Maximum strength after 24 hours Gel Grip has a thicker consistency than Kwik Grip and so is ideal for vertical applications as it won’t run Gel form prevents running or stringing Easy to spread by brush and ideal for use on vertical surfaces Where can this product be used? Vertical surfaces where dripping and running is a concern Bonding veneers of timber and laminated plastics, eg. Laminex and Formica to bench or table tops Areas where clamping or pressing facilities are either not available or difficult to use Patching vinyl Flooring Replacing a vinyl tile Cork tiling Laying a vinyl floor Fixing laminate to tables, benchtops etc Repairing canvas tents and outdoor equipment Bonding metal or laminate sheeting Replacing trim, rubbers and weather seals in cars Adhering flexible or other material to Aluminium Joining, repairing holes in tents, car covers etc Some plastics such as vinyl sheeting and polystyrene are attacked by Gel Grip. Test in an inconspicuous area prior to application. Can cause discolouration and bubbling when used for vinyl flooring materials, seek the advice of flooring material manufacturer before using Gel Grip. We recommend Kwik Grip Advanced for these applications Contains highly flammable solvent and care should be taken to ensure all fire precautions are observed. Cannot be used for application in temperatures below 10oC. Suitable for porous materials but not for rough, ill-fitting surfaces. (Consider the suitability of alternative products such as Liquid Nails for rough ill-fitting surfaces). What materials is this product suitable for? Cork Rubber Felt Canvas Leather Metals Timber Laminated plastics (laminex, formica) Hardboard Compressed board How to use this product Ensure that surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry and free from grease or paint. Cut laminated plastic sheet slightly oversize all round. Completely cover both surfaces with adhesive and keep apart until touch dry – no more than 40 minutes. Position the items carefully, still keeping surfaces apart with dowels or heavy craft paper and working from one edge press surfaces firmly together. Secure bond by running a roller over the bonded surfaces or else by hammering the surface from the centre outwards using a padded block. For bonding other materials, apply as for laminated plastics above. When small surface areas are to be joined a wet bond may be used. Simply apply Gel Grip to one surface then bring the surfaces together and clamp until dry. Handy tips Care should be taken to test plastics prior to use as solvents present will attack some grades such as polystyrene and sheet vinyl. Use Kwik Grip Advanced for these applications. Keep container sealed when not in use. Coverage – up to 5 square metres/litre (bonded area 2.5 square metres/litre) depending on porosity of surfaces and thickness of applications For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with mineral turpentine and then again with methylated spirits. If there is old, difficult to remove residue such as old paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as SELLEYS Kwik Strip Smart. Ensure the surface is dry before applying the product. Keep a canister of SELLEYS Sugar Soap Wipes nearby for a quick and effective cleanup. Clean Up While wet, adhesive can be removed using mineral turps. Cured adhesive is very difficult to remove. Tools and other equipment on which Gel Grip has dried may be cleaned by soaking in Toluol or lacquer thinner. Excess adhesive on the face of the jointed materials may also be removed with solvent, but care should be taken that the materials themselves are not damaged by the solvent. Safety tips Ensure thorough ventilation when using. Avoid using in a confined space for prolonged periods. Use Kwik Grip Advanced as a low fume alternative. Avoid skin contact as solvents in Gel Grip have a degreasing effect and may result in irritation. If in eyes flush with plenty of water for 15 minutes. Seek medical advice. If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Phone Australia 131 126 or New Zealand 0800 764 766. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Give a glass of water. Highly flammable. Do not use in the same area as flame, fire or spark producing apparatus or machinery. This product should NOT be accessible to juveniles, because of its solvent content. For further information refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), which can be found at this site. Storage and re-use Clean Up While wet, adhesive can be removed using mineral turps. Store in a cool area away from ignition sources and out of direct sunlight.

Selleys Selleys Fix N Go Supa Glue Sets In 10 Seconds - For Non Pororus Surfaces 3ml

Sold Out  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Fast setting supa glue that dries colourless and sets in 10 seconds. Features Bonds a variety of surfaces Quick setting – only takes 10 seconds Dries clear, therefore no mess No mixing required No clamping necessary Heat resistant: approx 80C maximum Non toxic when set Water resistant Application range: -55°C to +80°C Where can this product be used? Ideal for small repair jobs or when immediate results are required Supa Glue will bond non-porous surfaces Supa Glue is water resistant not water proof, so do not use in areas continually exposed to moisture as it will weaken the bond. Supa Glue is generally not flexible and has low impact resistance. ie will probably shatter if dropped. For these applications use SELLEYS Quick Fix Shock Proof or SELLEYS Urethane Bond. Supa Glue’s bond strength is excellent where surfaces to be bonded are a good close fit. Where gap filling is required use SELLEYS URETHANE BOND or ARALDITE or for very minor gap filling you can use SELLEYS Quick Fix Gel. Supa Glue is not recommended for use on paper. Not suitable for bonding plastics such as polyethylene, polypropylene or Teflon?. Supa Glue will not permanently bond glass or materials containing alkaline elements. What materials is this product suitable for? Rubber Some plastics Wood Metals How to use this product The seal at the end of the metal tube should be pierced carefully with the reverse end of the cap. Ensure that the tube is not squeezed while the seal is being pierced. Replace plastic nozzle. Surfaces to be bonded should fit exactly and should be clean, dry and free of dust, dirt and grease. Apply a drop of Supa Glue to only one of the surfaces to be joined. Use sparingly. Do NOT spread. (Note: One drop covers an area 25mm x 25mm)KEEP FINGERS AWAY FROM EXCESS ADHESIVE SO THEY WILL NOT STICK TOGETHER. Quickly align both surfaces and apply slight pressure to ensure effective spreading and bond. Should you fail to align the surfaces correctly, do not attempt to re-align them and bond together again. Keep apart and completely clean the surfaces (with acetone or nail polish remover). When dry, re-apply adhesive, re-align and bond again. (Please Note: NOT ALL Nail Polish Removers are ACETONE.) Although the adhesive will grab after several minutes to provide sufficient bond strength for practical use, maximum bond strength is achieved after 12 hours. Wipe tip of tube and replace cap. Handy tips Once open, Supa Glue has a limited shelf life (i.e. up to 1 year provided the tip is wiped clean and the cap replaced securely after each use). Supa Glue vapour can produce a whitening effect in enclosed spaces. To avoid this use in well ventilated areas. The whitening effect can be removed by wiping with acetone (first check that the acetone will not damage the surface). To remove from materials, it is recommended that the material be soaked in a solution of acetone and water (i.e. 3 parts acetone to 1 part water). Note: This method should only be used for substrates NOT adversely affected by exposure to solvents. Check a small area before use. Storing in a refrigerator can reduce the risk of hardening in the tube. Also leaving a pin stuck in the (cleaned) nozzle during storage can reduce the risk of the nozzle becoming clogged with cured adhesive which is difficult to clear. One drop covers an area 25mm x 25mm Supa glues cure more slowly when large amounts are used. For faster cure use sparingly. Since Supa Glue cures with moisture set times may be extended on very dry surfaces or under dry conditions. For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. Safety tips Avoid contact with skin and eyes and avoid breathing its vapour. Supa Glue bonds on contact. Should fingers stick together, apply a solvent such as acetone to contact areas, then wash skin with water. Do NOT use solvents in contact with eyes or open wounds. In case of eye contact, immediately flush with water and seek medical attention. When removing Supa Glue from the skin, it is recommended that the skin be soaked in warm to hot water to allow easy removal. It is not advisable to try to remove the cured adhesive by pulling and scraping the skin as this will only serve to damage the skin. If poisoning occurs, seek medical attention. Cured material is considered to be non-hazardous. For further information refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), which can be found at this site. Storage and re-use Ensure cap is replaced and store in a cool dry place. Do not squeeze tube before removing cap. Handle tube by plastic nozzle neck when opening and closing cap. This prevents pressurizing tube which may force material into cap, preventing a tight seal after use. For best performance from this product after opening, store in the refrigerator or in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Selleys Fibreglass Fix Repair Kit is a complete kit containing polyester resin, a hardener and fibreglass mat, for repairs to fibreglass and a variety of other surfaces. Where can this product be used? Boat repairs including hull repairs Surfboard / Surfski repairs Automotive repairs Repairing a leaky gutter Patching downpipes Patching metal roofs or grass catchers Not approved for contact with drinking water What materials is this product suitable for? Fibreglass Plywood Metal Fibro Sheeting Most Plastics How to use this product Wear rubber or plastic gloves when handling fibreglass Surface Preparation Surfaces should be clean and dry and free from paint, grease and rust. Cut the fibreglass mat to shape, allowing approximately 3cm overlap all round. Tease out the fibres along the edge of the mat to give a feathered edge. For wide holes, glue a piece of cardboard to the back of the hole to form a base. Mixing: For each tablespoon of resin, squeeze 5 drops of hardener from the small tube and mix together thoroughly. Do not prepare the mixture until required as only a limited time (20 minutes at 20°C) is available before the product gels. Application Position the mat and apply resin/hardener mixture with a clean, dry brush. Be sure to impregnate the mat completely, working out all air bubbles. Add more mat and resin/hardener mixture to build up or contour the patch as required. Finishing When the patch has completely hardened, (approximately 1-2 hours, depending on the temperature), it can be sanded to a smooth finish. Fill imperfections with more resin. Paint if required. Clean up product with Solvent Acetone before it cures Handy tips At higher temperatures, the working time decreases. Can only be tinted with iron oxide or other dry pigments .which must be mixed in very thoroughly. Surfaces to be joined should be clean and dry. If recommended amounts of hardener are not used, cure time will vary or an incomplete cure may result. A useful solvent to clean up epoxy and polyester resins BEFORE they are cured can be prepared by mixing 2 parts toluene with 1 part alcohol (eg methylated spirits or denatured alcohol). In large amounts, heat can be generated during cure. Care should be taken on heat-sensitive surfaces with large amounts. Use recommended levels of hardener and resin; variation may result in incomplete cure and variations in cure time. Keep a canister of SELLEYS Sugar Soap Wipes nearby for a quick and effective cleanup. Features Non-corrosive Weather resistant – resistant to water, weather or marine growth Rapid setting Impact resistant – can take knocks Sandable – can be sanded after 1-2 hours Can be painted over Extended working time – up to 20 minutes at 20°C Dries Opaque Heat resistant to 100°C

Liquid Nails Heavy Duty is a multipurpose construction adhesive that delivers extreme strength in a shorter space of time. The product is specifically designed for those demanding high performance applications, like attaching heavy or bulky materials, panelling, stone tiles, timber and furniture. Best of all it delivers heavy duty adhesion faster so you can get on with the next job. Features 2 X more strength than Liquid Nails Original in less than half the time Speed of cure means mechanical fasteners can be removed after 8 hours compared to 24 hours for Liquid Nails Original No slump or stringing, even when applying a bead to overhead surfaces Excellent resistance to water and weather makes it suitable for interior and exterior applications Easy to extrude from the cartridge at low winter temperatures Where can this product be used? Sheet flooring to joists Metal or aluminium door strips to floors and walls Timber or fibre cement sheeting to cement block or brick walls Masonite / hardboard to timber or floorboards Wallboard or panelling to wood or metal frames Cork tiles to timber, fibre cement or plaster Timber flooring to yellow tongue in conjunction with mechanical fixings to avoid later squeaking What materials is this product suitable for? Timber MDF Plasterboard Plastics (Pre-test to determine suitability) Masonry Concrete Particleboard Metals Rubber Glass Tiles & ceramics How to use this product Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Surfaces to be bonded should be free of oil, grease and dust. On wet timber pooled water should be wiped off. Cut cartridge tip, fit nozzle and cut end to desired opening. (Approx 5 mm diameter). WET BOND METHOD Direct a bead along the length of the joist, stud or batten. On broad flat surfaces apply beads every 40 cm. (‘zig-zag’ beads are more appropriate on surfaces of moderate width; eg shiplap panels.) Fix with sufficient nails, screws or clamping to hold load and achieve contact over the total bond area. Wet bonds are repositionable for up to 15 mins after fitting. Allow adhesives to set (at least 8 hours) before removing any temporary fasteners or clamping.(Refer to Bond Strength Time.) CONTACT BOND METHOD – for faster grab Apply a bead to one surface only, press together and pull apart. Allow surfaces to dry 2-4 minutes before firmly joining. Surfaces should not be kept apart for longer than 10 minutes as to do so will impair bond strength Flooring: When fixing sheet flooring (e.g. particleboard), use in conjunction with flooring manufacturer’s installation specifications for minimum nailing requirements. Note: To eliminate squeaks in tongue and groove flooring, use Liquid Nails Heavy Duty in conjunction with mechanical fixings. Handy tips Time for strong bond depends on nature and condition of application. In most situations^ strong bond can be achieved after 8 hours and will continue to strengthen over a 2-3 day period. Full cure can take up to 7 days. ^Curing is achieved by evaporation of solvent. The time required to achieve the bond’s full strength is increased by: constant low temperatures; thick applications (joints) are used; wide areas are bonded; and when bonded surfaces are impervious (e.g. metals and dense timbers).

Bonds most materials within 30 seconds The level of liquidity and lack of viscosity work best for applications where flexibility and seeping is required 25ml container Integrated nozzle for easy application Ritetite Turbo is a one-component liquid super glue that bonds extremely quickly. When it comes into contact with surface moisture, it hardens instantly. Its extremely fast curing qualities make it an excellent choice for high-speed industrial production, where an ultra-rapid-acting adhesive with low consistency and viscosity is required. Surface Preparation prior to bonding with RITETITE TURBO Surfaces should be clean, dry and grease-free before applying the adhesive. Use a suitable solvent (such as acetone or isopropanol) for the degreasing of surfaces. Some metals such as aluminum, copper and its alloys will benefit from light abrasion with emery cloth (or similar), to remove the oxide layer. RITETITE TURBO Directions for use. 1) Apply the adhesive sparingly to one surface. 2) Then, bring the components together quickly and correctly aligned. 3) Apply sufficient pressure to ensure the adhesive spreads into a thin film. 4) Do not disturb or re-align until sufficient strength is achieved, normally in a few seconds. 5) Remove any surplus adhesive solvent, nitromethane, or acetone. NB: For difficult or porous surfaces using a RITETITE activator is recommended. If bonding polypropylene, polyethylene, PTFE or silicone, prime first with a suitable primer. Bonds most materials within 30 seconds High-viscosity allows for greater accuracy and detail Large 100ml container Integrated nozzle for easy application Ritetite Control is a one-component gel super glue that bonds extremely quickly. It’s made with a specially designed thixotropic formula that instantly polymerises (hardens) by absorbing surface moisture. Its fast-curing properties make it an excellent choice for high-speed industrial applications that require a gel-like, viscous adhesive that does not spread or leak like traditional super glue. Ritetite Control works exceptionally well in poor-fitting applications such as rough metal or ceramic repairs, unfinished metal-to-metal bonding, and metal-to-rubber bonding due to its thick gel consistency. Surface Preparation prior to bonding with RITETITE CONTROL Surfaces should be clean, dry and grease-free before applying the adhesive. Use a suitable solvent (such as acetone or isopropanol) for the degreasing of surfaces. Some metals such as aluminum, copper and its alloys will benefit from light abrasion with emery cloth (or similar), to remove the oxide layer. Handy tips Supa Glue can create a white residue on the surface of materials if the area is not well ventilated. Clean the affected area with acetone to remove (most nail polish removers) residue. Excellent when used with other adhesives, as the temporary tack. For best results, ensure surfaces to be bonded are clean, free of dust, dry and close fitting. After use, wipe excess product from the nozzle with a tissue dipped in nail polish remover. For best performance from this product after opening, store in the refrigerator or in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. In the event that fingers get stuck together – don’t panic! Slowly twist fingers in the opposite direction in hot soapy water. Acetone (most nail polish removers) or Olive oil can also be used to remove Quick Fix from the skin. While supa glue is not recommended for use on some plastics, if your kids have broken their favourite toy, try this method: Line up the two pieces, glue it, leave it for 24 hours to dry, then drop more glue on the break area like a ‘collar’/protective layer. Since Quick Fix cures with moisture set times may be extended on very dry surfaces or under dry conditions. Supa glues cure more slowly when large amounts are used. For faster cure use sparingly. For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. To remove excess from materials, it is recommended that the material be soaked in a solution of acetone and water (i.e. 3 parts acetone to 1 part water). Where soaking is not possible, try placing a piece of absorbant material (eg cotton wool) soaked in acetone on the excess for 5 to 10 minutes, topping up the acetone if it evaporates. Gently rub the surface with the material to remove the residues. TEST THE SURFACE IN AN INCONSPICUOUS SPOT to ensure it is unaffected by acetone before attempting removal using this method. Do not squeeze tube before removing the cap. Handle tube by plastic nozzle neck when opening and closing cap. This prevents pressurizing tube which may force material into the cap, preventing a tight seal after use. Safety tips Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Avoid breathing vapour. Quick Fix is non-hazardous once cured. Where Quick Fix residues are on the skin, it is recommended that the skin is soaked in warm to hot water to allow easy removal. It is not advisable to try to remove the cured adhesive by pulling and scraping the skin as this will only serve to damage the skin. Alternatively, rub in hand cream or vegetable oil to accelerate the natural process of the skin sloughing off to remove the residue. Where immediate adhesive removal is considered necessary to apply a solvent such as acetone (nail polish remover) then wash off with soapy water. Apply hand cream to replace naturals oils in the skin. Do not use near eyes or open wounds. In case of contact with eyes, flush with water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention. Non toxic when set. For further information refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), which can be found at this site. Storage and re-use After use, wipe excess product from nozzle with a tissue dipped in acetone (found in some nail polish removers). Wait for a few seconds and check that no further glue is extruding before replacing cap tightly. Ensure cap is replaced and store in a cool dry place. For best performance from this product after opening, store in the refrigerator or in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Sold Out  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

A paint and varnish stripper free of Methylene Chloride (MC) and N-methyl Pyrollidone (NMP) for safer interior usage*. Deep penetration performance allows for multiple layers to be stripped in a single application to save time. FOR INDOOR & OUTDOOR USE Coverage: 0.5m2 per litre when applied 2mm thick on a horizontal surface. Ready to use: YES NOTE: Do not use on plastic surfaces, vinyl, masonite or rubber. Take care when using on plasterboard or other porous surfaces as softening or penetration of the surface can occur. Suitable for most decorative paints, varnishes and 1-part polyurethanes. Not for Kalsomine, penetrating timber stains or some 2-pack coatings. *in comparison with methylene chloride paint strippers • Use in a well-ventilated area and wear protective gloves and glasses. • Apply stripper approx 2mm thick using a brush. Take care on vertical or overhanging surfaces, as stripper may drip. • Leave the paint stripper in contact with the coating until softened and scrape off the coating with slight pressure. If paint remains after scraping, apply a second coat of stripper. Scrape along the grain for timber. A scourer can be used to remove ingrained paint. • Stripping times vary according to a number of paint layers, age and type. As a guide, water-based paints begin to soften after 15–20 mins. Allow 60 mins or longer for oil-based and polyurethane coatings. The paint stripper remains effective while in a wet state. • Do not allow stripper or softened paint to dry on the surface. Some oil-based paints will continue to bubble and strip even after stripper has been removed. • Wipe surface clean with a wet rag followed by a solution of Poly Sugar Soap. Do not use excessive water. On fine timber where grain swelling is likely, use methylated spirits. • Allow surfaces to completely dry before re-coating. • Clean tools in warm water. SAFETY • Risk of serious damage to eyes. • Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective gloves and glasses when mixing or using. • If skin or hair contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and flush skin and hair with running water. • Avoid breathing vapour. Use in a well-ventilated area. • Wash hands after use. • Keep away from heat and ignition sources. • This product has been classified as hazardous. Refer to Safety Data Sheet for more information. • If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. If in eyes, wash out immediately with water. • For first aid advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre (AUS 131 126; NZ 0800 764 766) or a doctor at once. Q. What is the difference between Polystrippa Paint Stripper and Polystrippa Advanced? A. Polystrippa Paint Stripper is formulated with methylene chloride. It is very aggressive and may be harmful to health with prolonged exposure. It is most suitable for smaller applications and should only be used outdoors. Polystrippa Advanced, on the other hand, is free of methylene chloride and is preferable for larger or indoor applications.

PC-11® thrives in wet environments. It is resistant to water whether it is fresh or salt. Thick consistency like PC-7® and long open time (30 min). Work horizontal or vertical, indoor or outdoor. Wet, dry or under water. Whether you are working on an area where you just can’t remove water and moisture or you want the white colour for your repair, PC-11® is your choice. Choose PC-11® for ceramic repairs, pools and spas, fibreglass boats, tubs and sinks, stock tanks and thousands of other repairs. It has excellent adhesive properties bonding metals, fibreglass, wood, tile and some plastics such as ABS and rigid PVC. Ample open time allows tooling or positioning in order to tackle larger and challenging jobs. When mixed, the epoxy, part A (white) and the hardener part B (lt. blue) react to form a bond of tremendous strength and flexibility. The PC-11® formulation is slow curing, but slow can be a good thing especially for large tasks. WORKING TIME: 30 MINUTES CURE TIME: 24 HOURS (48 HOURS FOR FULL CURE) PC-11® is thick. Thick is good if you need to work vertically or want to hold an object in place. How thick? Not quite as thick as peanut butter. Here are just a few specific uses (there are hundreds of other uses): Reattach missing swimming pool tiles. Patch a hole in a fibreglass canoe or the fibreglass keel of a fishing boat. Repair cracked or damage swimming pool or hot tub skimmer. Waterproof and Seal cracked fibreglass. Seal screw holes to hatch lids or seating. Attach fish locators to transom. Repair stock tanks. Repair broken refrigerator door shelf fixtures. Repair broken pottery. Repair shower basin or antique bath tub. Seal leaking air conditioner drip pan. Seal underground conduit. How to prepare a surface for bonding with PC-11® Epoxy Paste Remove contaminants such as dust, dirt, oil, barnacles and grime with a solvent such as Denatured Alcohol, Acetone, Rubbing Alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or Lacquer Thinner. A mild detergent solution in water is also good removing contaminants. Use a clean paper towel or rag for wiping. Do not use Mineral Spirits or Paint Thinner for removing contaminants. For a wet or underwater surface; clean contaminants as best as you can. Solvents will not help you in this situation. Remove rust and loose paint with sandpaper or wire brush. Epoxy typically sticks to most paints. If there is a concern of the paint’s adhesion then remove it with sandpaper or wire brush. Smooth, glossy and shiny surfaces should be roughened using sandpaper to increase adhesion. How to clean-up after PC-11® Epoxy Paste application Use Denatured Alcohol, Acetone, Rubbing Alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or Lacquer Thinner to clean tools and mixing surface before PC-11® cures. Clean hands and skin with soap and water. Cured epoxy can be removed by applying Paint Remover or Paint Stripper to soften the epoxy surface. Scratch off the softened epoxy. Repeat as needed. Can PC-11® be used in Aquariums? There is the potential for PC-11® part A and part B to harm sea life but properly measured and mixed PC-11® has been used safely in fresh and saltwater aquariums. It is important that part A and B are thoroughly and completely mixed. What plastics does PC-11® stick to? PC-11® has good adhesion to Rigid PVC and CPVC, polyester and fiberglass, polyurethane, ABS and Bakelite. What plastics does PC-11® not stick to? PC-11® does not stick to polyethylene, polypropylene, HDPE, polystyrene, nylon, acrylic, Teflon, and polycarbonate. What rubbers does PC-11® stick to? PC-11® sticks to SBR, Buna, and polyurethane rubbers and does not stick to EPDM, vinyl and neoprene rubbers. What temperatures can PC-11® be applied? PC-11® cures very slowly at temperatures below 50°F (10°C). At or below freezing temperatures the PC-11® will stop curing. In hot conditions, above 95°F (35°C), PC-11® will cure rapidly reducing the working or application time. Can gel coat be applied to PC-11®? Gel coat will not cure properly in direct contact with PC-11®. It is important that repairs made with PC-11® be sealed with a suitable primer/sealer before applying a gel coat. Can PC-11® be painted? Yes. It is good practice to apply a premium stain sealing primer to repairs made with PC-11® prior to the finish coat. Will PC-11® yellow in direct sunlight? Yes, PC-11® yellows in direct sunlight. PC-11® resists ultraviolet light but will still gradually change colour. Prime and paint if the colour is important. Can PC-11® be thinned with solvent? PC-11® does not contain solvents. Acetone and denatured alcohol (ethanol) are compatible but will extend the cure time and decrease the hardness. Other solvents such as mineral spirits, paint thinner and turpentine are not compatible. PC-11® is a simple one to one mix, but how accurately does the measurement need to be? The volume of part A to part B should be close to equal. A slight excess of part A is preferable to an excess of part B. Excess of part B will not accelerate the curing and it may make it softer.
