Glass Aluminium Fibre Cement Painted Surfaces Ceramics Masonry Most metals Most plastics Wood How to use this product Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. When first applying product, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of sealant. Remove the tape before the sealant skins. For a better finish use a spatula dipped in detergent and water to tool off the sealant. Allow the surfaces to skin prior to painting, which is approximately 30 minutes. Protect from rain until firmly skinned. Allow for longer skin and cure times in damp conditions. Some water based under coats & flat paints may crack on drying. To reduce this effect allows the product to cure for 24 hours in small gaps or 48 hours in larger gaps before painting with such paints. To improve the paint finish, wipe the sealant with detergent solution immediately before painting. Avoid smearing sealant on the surrounding surfaces as this may effects its paintability. Work in sections that can be completed before sealant skins. Tooling off and tape removal must be completed before skinning occurs or a rough surface may result so working in sections allows for a better finish. Keep a pack of SELLEYS Hand Kleen Wipes handy to wipe up any spills and for cleaning any material off the skin before it cures. They are an easy and effective way to keep clean on the job. Safety tips Uncured product may irritate eyes. If in eyes, flood the eyes for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice. Avoid contact with skin, if contact occurs, wipe off immediately and wash with detergent. It may irrtate sensitive skin. Avoid breathing in vapours. Ensure you use a well ventilated area as product releases methyl ethyl ketoxime while curing. For advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre (AUS 131 126; NZ 0800 764 766) or a doctor. For further detail on the safe use of this product, please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet, which can be downloaded from this site. Keep away from children. Storage and re-use Store in cool dry conditions, below 30°C The sealant should be used within 6 months after opening. After use keep the nozzle on the cartridge Silicone is a reactive product and is designed to cure once exposed to air. While the product may be stored for a few months once opened, it does have a limited shelf life. Storage in an upright position in a cool dry place is recommended to maximise the storage life. If the sealant is going to be used again within a few days, leave the nozzle on and merely extrude approximately 2 cm of product before storing the cartridge upright. This will cure to a plug which can easily be pulled out when required. For longer storage periods, leave the nozzle on and place a piece of plasticene or Blu Tack over the end of the nozzle. Tightly tape a piece of aluminium foil over the whole nozzle to exclude any air. When you want to re-use the product, simply take off the foil and plug from the old nozzle pull out the excess silicone from the nozzle with a corkscrew, then re-pierce any cure at the tip of the cartridge and re-use. If cure has taken place into the cartridge, the product is unlikely to be in a useable state and should be discarded.

For best results roughen bond area prior to cleaning. Cut off required amount. Replace disc on the remaining portion. Wear gloves to avoid messing hands. To mix, knead with fingers to a uniform colour. If mixing is difficult, warm to room temperature. Apply to surface to be repaired (within 12 minutes of mixing) and work the material forcefully into the surface applying pressure until adhesion begins to take effect. Mould to shape if required. If material sticks to fingers, use the plastic wrapper to press the material in place. For a smooth appearance, remove excess and hand rub with water or damp cloth before hardening begins. Trim away any excess before initial hardening. Remove any residues with acetone prior to initial hardening. Hardened excess may be sanded or trimmed away once fully cured. After 20-30 minutes Knead-It Aqua will harden and begin to form a strong bond. Allow for longer cure times at lower temperatures. After 60 minutes Knead-It Aqua may be drilled, sanded, machined, filed, sawed or painted. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after use. Handy tips Ensure the putty and hardener are mixed properly. Knead-It will become warm as it is mixed, A good indication its mixed properly is when you have a uniform colour and feel a mild heat radiating from the knead-it. To help determine when your knead it has set, keep a small piece off to check- when it is hard, it indicates your job is done. For best results, use Knead-It Multi-Purpose for applications in contact with drinking water. Use Knead-It Steel for applications on metal or fuel contact Store in a cool place for maximum shelf life For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with mineral turpentine and then again with methylated spirits. If there is old, difficult to remove residue such as old paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as SELLEYS Kwik Strip Smart. Ensure the surface is dry before applying the product. Keep a canister of SELLEYS Sugar Soap Wipes nearby for a quick and effective cleanup. Safety tips Where possible wear protective gloves when using Knead-It Aqua. Contact with skin may result in irritation. Epoxy resin is a known skin sensitiser. Repeated or prolonged skin contact may lead to allergic contact dermatitis. If redness or swelling of skin occurs, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Seek medical attention if in any doubt. Mixed and cured material is not hazardous. Cured material can only be removed by cutting and abrasion. If cured on skin, it will peel off in a few days without assistance. Soaking in warm water will assist removal.     Liquid Nails Fast is a water-based high strength (*) construction adhesive with fast grab and low odour. It has a thick, non-runny consistency and is ideal for adhering timbers and other porous construction materials. After drying it is beige (light tan) in colour. Uses Liquid Nails Fast has high initial (immediate) grab which reduces the need to support joins while the adhesive cures. The initial grab works best with porous surfaces. It will bond to many building materials including MDF, particle board, timber, plaster board, styrene foam, masonry, concrete, tiles, ceramics, metals, plastics*, rubber and glass. Faster results are achieved when at least one surface is porous. Developed by FX Australia and manufactured locally, the use of all products in the Compound System guarantees a time-saving, superior finish and greater strength for substrates. Features Benefits Water-based Ease of application Strong Easy spreading Flexible Time-saving Water-resistant Easy clean-up Pre-mixed Uses FX Super Base Coat X is used for fixing fibre cement sheets and Magnum Board joints. Surface Preparation All surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and free of dirt, dust and grease. Substrates need to be constructed or installed to industry/Australian Standards. Application: Load FX Super Base Coat X onto hawke using a 150 mm – 200 mm broad knife/trowel and place in to the joint recess, working steadily from one end to the other of the joint recess, ensuring the Compound fills the joint recess and is evenly and smoothly applied. Next embed fibre-fuse tape into the Compound. Scrape off any excess Compound.     Partix Multipurpose Filler Powder This product is ideal for filling cracks, holes and gaps inside the home. It is strong and can be easily sanded to a smooth finish ready for painting. When dry, it can be nailed or screwed without splitting or breaking. SUITABLE FOR Interior repairs to plaster, brick, plasterboard, masonry and timber. For repairs where movement occurs, use Parfix Gap Filler. PREPARATION Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust and loose material. Glossy surfaces should be roughened with sandpaper to provide key. MIXING Add 2½ parts of Parfix Multi-Purpose Filler to 1 part water (by volume) and mix thoroughly into a smooth paste with a clean filling knife. Once mixed, stays workable for up to 45 minutes. Do not add water to extend working time. 4 Contamination with dried filler will shorten the working time. APPLICATION Press filler into crack with a flexible filling blade (overfilling slightly to allow for sanding back) then smooth off. Wait 3-4 hours for filler to dry before sanding with a medium grade sandpaper Use a damp sponge to wipe away dist CLEANING Clean tools with water and reseal pack after use. Store in a cool, dry place. PAINT PREPARATION Before painting, apply a suitable primer/undercoat
