Cut off required amount. Replace disc on the remaining portion. Use gloves to avoid messing hands. To mix, knead with fingers to a uniform colour. If mixing is difficult, warm to room temperature. Apply to surface to be repaired (within 2 minutes of mixing) and mould to shape if required. For a smooth appearance, remove excess and hand rub with water or a damp cloth before hardening begins. Trim away any excess before initial hardening. Remove any residues with acetone prior to initial hardening. Hardened excess may be sanded or trimmed away once fully cured. After 5-10 minutes Knead-It Multi-Purpose will harden and begin to form a strong bond. After 60 minutes Knead-It Multi-Purpose may be drilled, sanded, machined, filed, sawed or painted. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before product hardens. Handy tips Ensure the putty and hardener are mixed properly. Knead-It will become warm as it is mixed, A good indication its mixed properly is when you have a uniform colour and feel a mild heat radiating from the knead-it. To help determine when your knead it has set, keep a small piece off to check- when it is hard, it indicates your job is done. Use Knead-It Aqua for applications in wet/ submerged areas. Use Knead-It Steel for applications on metal or fuel contact For cleaning surfaces prior to application of adhesive, if the surface is porous, we would recommend using SELLEYS Liquid Sugar Soap. If the surface is non-porous eg glass or metal, firstly clean the surface with mineral turpentine and then again with methylated spirits. If there is old, difficult to remove residue such as old paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as SELLEYS Kwik Strip Smart. Surfaces to be bonded should be clean, dry and free of dust. Hold bottle in an upright position. Pierce seal by attaching nozzle and cap and turning clockwise. Remove cap and squeeze gently to apply a small amount of glue to one surface. Bring surfaces together and apply slight pressure. (30 seconds). The product grabs within 5-30 seconds, depending on environmental conditions and substrates to be bonded. Allow 30 minutes for sufficient bond strength for practical use. Maximum bond strength reached after 12 hours. Handy tips Cyanoacrylate adhesives can create a white residue on the surface of a substrate if the area is not well ventilated. Clean the affected area with acetone to remove residue. For best performance from this product after opening, store in the refrigerator or in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Excellent when used with other adhesives, as the temporary tack For best results, ensure surfaces to be bonded are clean, free of dust, dry and close fitting In the event that fingers get stuck together – don’t panic! Slowly twist fingers in opposite direction in hot soapy water. Acetone (nail polish remover) or Olive oil can also be used to remove Quick Fix from skin. While superglue is not recommended for use on some plastics, if your kids have broken their favourite toy, try this method: Line up the two pieces, glue it, leave it for 24hours to dry, then drop more glue on the break area like a ‘collar’/protective layer. Since Quick Fix cures with moisture set times may be extended on very dry surfaces or under dry conditions. Super glues cure more slowly when large amounts are used. For faster cure use sparingly. Safety tips Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Avoid breathing vapour. Quick Fix is non-hazardous once cured. Where Quick Fix residues are on the skin, it is recommended that the skin be soaked in warm to hot water to allow easy removal. It is not advisable to try to remove the cured adhesive by pulling and scraping the skin as this will only serve to damage the skin. Alternatively rub in hand cream or vegetable oil to accelerate the natural process of the skin sloughing off to remove the residue. Where immediate adhesive removal is considered necessary apply a solvent such as acetone (nail polish remover) then wash off with soapy water. Apply hand cream to replace naturals oils in skin. Do not use solvents near eyes or open wounds. In case of contact with eyes, flush with water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention. Non toxic when set. Storage and re-use After use, wipe excess product from nozzle with a tissue dipped in acetone (found in some nail polish removers). Reseal cap in a clockwise direction. Tap bottle lightly on a flat surface to clear excess product from nozzle. To remove excess from substrates, it is recommended that the material be soaked in a solution of acetone and water (i.e. 3 parts acetone to 1 part water). Where soaking is not possible, try placing a piece of absorbant material (eg cotton wool) soaked in acetone on the excess for 5 to 10 minutes, topping up the acetone if it evaporates. Gently rub the surface with the material to remove the residues. TEST THE SURFACE IN AN INCONSPICUOUS SPOT to ensure it is unaffected by acetone before attempting removal using thias method. Ensure cap is replaced and store in a cool dry place. Cyanoacrylate based adhesives polymerise in the presence of moisture. Store Upright. Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking gun. Contact SELLEYS if unsure. Handy tips Tips for Using a Silicone Sealant on Glass Ensure you tape both sides of the gap before applying the product. This ensures a neat finish and makes it easier to clean up. The depth of the sealant should be no more than 10mm in joints. To fill larger joints use a suitable backing rod (such as closed cell polyethylene foam or similar), leaving the gap depth no larger than half the width of the joint. When first applying product, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of silicone sealant. Remove the tape before the silicone sealant skins. For a better finish complete painting prior to use of the sealant as it can not be painted over. For a better finish, use a spatula dipped in mineral turpetine or detergent and water to tool off the sealant. Work in sections that can be completed before sealant skins. Tooling off and tape removal must be completed before skinning occurs or a rough surface may result, so working in sections allows for a better finish. Storage and re-use Store in cool dry conditions, below 30°C The sealant should be used within 6 months after opening. After use, keep the nozzle on the cartridge. Silicone is a reactive product and is designed to cure once exposed to humidity. While the product may be stored for a few months once opened, it does have a limited shelf life. Storage in an upright position in a cool dry place is recommended to maximise the storage life. If the sealant is going to be used again within a few days, leave the nozzle on and merely extrude approximately 2 cm of the product before storing the cartridge upright. This will cure to a plug which can easily be pulled out when required. For longer storage periods, leave the nozzle on and place a piece of plasticene or Blu Tack over the end of the nozzle. Tightly tape a piece of aluminium foil over the whole nozzle to exclude any air. When you want to re-use the product, simply take off the foil and plug from the old nozzle pull out the excess silicone from the nozzle with a corkscrew, then re-pierce any cure at the tip of the cartridge and re-use. If cure has taken place into the cartridge, the product is unlikely to be in a useable state and should be discarded.

PC-Marine™ Epoxy Putty Stick is a specially formulated epoxy putty suitable for wet or underwater applications. Incredibly it has an extended open time (20 – 30 minutes) but cures hard within 60 minutes for a fast return to service and emergency repairs. It sticks great to metals, fibreglass, tile, wood and some plastics such as ABS and rigid PVC. Here are just a few specific uses (there are hundreds of other uses): Seal holes and waterproof fittings Shape and form missing corners or holes in ceramic or fibreglass fixtures Re-attach and secure loose hardware Fill cracks and dings in fibreglass Seal leaks in water tanks How to prepare a surface for bonding with PC-Marine™ Remove contaminants such as dust, dirt, oil and grime with a solvent such as denatured alcohol, acetone, rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or lacquer thinner. A mild detergent solution in water is also good removing contaminants. Use a clean paper towel or rag for wiping. Do not use mineral spirits or paint thinner for removing contaminants. Remove rust and loose paint with sandpaper or wire brush. Epoxy typically sticks to most paints. If there is a concern of the paint’s adhesion then remove it with sandpaper or wire brush. Smooth, glossy and shiny surfaces should be roughened using sandpaper to increase adhesion. How to clean-up after PC-Marine™ application Wear disposable gloves to minimize contact with the skin. Use denatured alcohol, acetone, rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or lacquer thinner to cleanup before PC-Marine cures. Clean hands and skin with soap and water. Cured epoxy can be removed by applying paint remover or paint stripper to soften the epoxy surface. Scratch off the softened epoxy. Repeat as needed. Can PC-Marine™ be applied underwater? Yes, application underwater is possible. PC-Marine™ will adhere and cure underwater. However, it is preferable to apply it in dry conditions. Is PC-Marine™ suitable for repairing canoes? PC-Marine™ is excellent for repairs to aluminium and fibreglass canoes but not when they are made with Hypalon. How much time does it take for PC-Marine™ to cure? PC-Marine™ has an extended application or open time of 20 minutes. Most repairs made with PC-Marine™ can be returned to service after 60 minutes. Some applications may require a full 24-hour cure. Is PC-Marine™ green? PC-Marine™ Epoxy Putty stick is white on the inside and green on the outside. The green colour disappears when mixed with the white. The result is an off-white colour when it cures. What is the maximum thickness that PC-Marine™ Epoxy Putty can be applied? PC-Marine™ can be applied thick or thin. There isn’t a thickness limit. It cures from the within via a chemical reaction. It does not need to dry or be exposed to air. How much PC-Marine™ can be mixed at a single time? PC-Marine™ is slower curing than other epoxy putties allowing larger portions to be mixed at one time. Small quantities can be mixed more thoroughly and with less effort. For porous surfaces, apply a thin coat to seal surface and allow to dry for approx. 40 minutes. Using an applicator, completely cover both surfaces with adhesive and keep apart until touch dry (approx. 15 minutes, no more than 30 minutes). Position items carefully, still keeping surfaces apart with dowels. When edges are perfectly aligned, remove dowels and press surfaces firmly together from one edge to the other. Secure the bond by running a roller over the bonded surfaces or by hammering from the centre outwards using a padded block. Maximum bond strength is reached after 24 hours. Clamping may be necessary for warped or curled surfaces. Wet Bonding (for small areas or porous surfaces) Ensure surfaces are clean and dry. Apply Kwik Grip to one surface, then bring the surfaces together and clamp until dry. Handy Tips Test plastics before use as solvents may attack some polystyrene and sheet vinyls. 500mL covers up to 2.5m² of one surface, depending on porosity. PC-11® thrives in wet environments. It is resistant to water whether it is fresh or salt. Thick consistency like PC-7® and long open time (30 min). Work horizontal or vertical, indoor or outdoor. Wet, dry or under water. Whether you are working on an area where you just can’t remove water and moisture or you want the white colour for your repair, PC-11® is your choice. Choose PC-11® for ceramic repairs, pools and spas, fibreglass boats, tubs and sinks, stock tanks and thousands of other repairs. It has excellent adhesive properties bonding metals, fibreglass, wood, tile and some plastics such as ABS and rigid PVC. Ample open time allows tooling or positioning in order to tackle larger and challenging jobs. When mixed, the epoxy, part A (white) and the hardener part B (lt. blue) react to form a bond of tremendous strength and flexibility. The PC-11® formulation is slow curing, but slow can be a good thing especially for large tasks. WORKING TIME: 30 MINUTES CURE TIME: 24 HOURS (48 HOURS FOR FULL CURE) PC-11® is thick.
