Bradford Enviroseal ProctorWrap HighTack Tape 60mm x 25m

Description

Bradford Enviroseal ProctorWrap HighTack Tape is a single-sided pressure sensitive tape made to seal and repair Enviroseal vapour permeable wall and roof wraps, supplied as one 60mm x 25m roll. It grabs quickly on contact and has a flexible carrier, so it suits the joins, pipes, window edges and penetrations where an air and water tight seal is needed.

About the formula
The tape has a coated spun-bond polypropylene carrier with a polyacrylate adhesive and a release liner. The carrier is designed to match the strength of the membrane it is applied to. Bradford states that it ages well, stays flexible over the long term, resists plasticiser migration and contains no solvents, chlorine or formaldehyde. Its elasticity lets it cope with limited building movement and thermal expansion.

Where to use it
Indoors: sealing laps, joins and repairs in wall wrap and sarking installed in the building frame, and taping around pipes and other penetrations to help control air and vapour movement.
Outdoors: sealing overlaps, joints, window surrounds and penetrations in exposed wall wrap or roof underlay during construction, before the cladding or roofing goes on.

It is intended mainly for the Enviroseal ProctorWrap RW, CW, HTR and HTX ranges of vapour permeable membranes, and Bradford notes it can also be used on foil faced products. Always confirm suitability with the manufacturer before using it on other surfaces.

How to use it
Make sure the surfaces are dry and free of dust, dirt, grease, oil, surfactants and release agents. Apply the tape within its application temperature range. Damp or cold membrane surfaces are hard to bond to, so let them warm up and dry first. Peel back the release liner, press the tape firmly over the join or repair, and keep the roll in its bag in a cool, dry place until needed.

Important notes
The tape resists humidity and UV for up to 2 months, so cover the membrane and tape with the cladding or roofing material as soon as practical. It is not suitable for use with Enviroseal ProctorWrap Black Label. For laps in membranes, follow the membrane manufacturer's installation guidance for overlap widths and fixing.
