Description
Dunlop Grout Paint is the quick, budget-friendly way to make a tiled area look new again without raking out old or discoloured grout. The acrylic formula paints straight over existing grout lines with the built-in brush applicator, offering excellent opacity that covers even dark colours in a coat or two. Clean-up is easy, and a single 250ml bottle refreshes a surprisingly large area.
Where to use it
Use it over old or discoloured cement grout on indoor walls and floors and on outdoor walls. It is perfect for freshening bathrooms, kitchen splashbacks and laundry tiling, or for switching grout colour - brightening joints with Ultrawhite or going darker with Slate Grey or Jet Black for a modern contrast.
How to use
Clean the grout thoroughly (Dunlop Tile & Grout Cleaner works well) and let it dry. Shake the bottle, then brush the paint along the grout line with the applicator, overlapping slightly onto the tile edge. Once touch dry - about 15-20 minutes at 23°C - wipe the overpainted edges off the tile faces with a damp cloth. Allow 2 hours' cure after cleaning, then polish the area with a soft cloth. The paint is fully set after 24 hours, after which showers can be exposed to water.
Important notes
Not suitable for swimming pools or external floors. Expect faster wear in areas with regular foot traffic or frequent exposure to water, soaps and chemicals such as shower floors. Coverage varies enormously with joint width and tile size - from about 1m² on small mosaic tiles with wide joints up to 200m² on large-format tiles with fine joints.
