Description
Dunlop Pro Rapid Tape is a self-adhesive sealing tape that delivers an instant waterproof seal across the joints where leaks start: the junction between floor and wall, and around shower grates and outlets in bathrooms, kitchens and laundries. It is the joint-sealing half of the Dunlop Pro Rapid system; team it with Dunlop Pro Rapid Waterproofing Membrane and tiling can commence just four hours after the membrane is applied, with the finished system meeting Australian Building standards for waterproofing.
Where to use it
Designed for internal wet areas such as bathrooms, showers, kitchens and laundries. Suitable substrates include internal fibre-cement wall sheet, compressed fibre-cement sheets, wet area grade plasterboard, plywood, internal AAC blocks and panels, concrete cured for a minimum of 28 days, and renders and screeds cured for a minimum of 7 days.
How to use
Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free of dust. Peel the release liner and press the tape firmly into floor/wall junctions, corners and around grates and outlets, smoothing out air bubbles as you go. Then apply Dunlop Pro Rapid Waterproofing Membrane over the tape and the remainder of the area to complete the system.
Important notes
Substrate curing times matter: concrete needs at least 28 days and renders or screeds at least 7 days before taping and waterproofing. This tape is intended for internal applications and is designed to work as a system with the Pro Rapid membrane.
