The Ryobi RID18 is an 18V ONE+ cordless impact driver built for high-volume fastening work where speed, torque, and low operator fatigue matter. Unlike a standard drill driver that transfers rotational force directly through the chuck, the impact driver uses a percussive hammering mechanism that fires up to 3,200 times per minute to break through resistance in tough fastening applications. The result is more torque delivered to the fastener with significantly less strain on the user's wrist and arm.


With 180Nm of maximum torque and a compact, lightweight body, the RID18 drives long deck screws, structural timber screws, and machine bolts with ease and drives them flush consistently without cam-out or stripped heads. It accepts all standard 1/4 inch hex shank bits and is compact enough to reach into tight spaces where a full-size drill cannot fit.

180Nm Impact Torque

Use Impact-Rated Bits for Best Results

The RID18 accepts all standard 1/4 inch hex shank driver bits. For heavy fastening work, impact-rated bits are strongly recommended over standard driver bits. Impact-rated bits are manufactured from torsion steel that flexes under the repeated hammering action, lasting significantly longer than standard chrome vanadium bits in an impact driver. Using non-rated bits in an impact driver will shorten bit life considerably and can lead to bit breakage under load.
