Product Overview
The Ryobi 370W Belt and Disc Sander is a benchtop combination sanding unit designed for the home workshop. It combines a horizontal belt sander and a vertical disc sander into a single compact machine, giving woodworkers, hobbyists, and DIYers access to two fundamentally different sanding actions from one bench footprint and one power source.
The belt sander is the workhorse of the pair, moving abrasive quickly across a workpiece for efficient stock removal, edge shaping, and surface levelling. The disc sander excels at end grain work, shaping curves, and bringing a flat surface to a consistent finish with more control than a belt allows. Used together, the two stations take a workpiece from rough sawn to finished surface without changing machines.

Belt Sander Continuous Loop Abrasive
A continuously moving abrasive belt for fast, efficient material removal across flat surfaces and along edges. The belt table tilts for angled sanding.

Disc Sander Rotating Abrasive Disc

Choosing the Right Abrasive Grit
40 to 60 Coarse Grit
Heavy stock removal, shaping, and cleaning up rough sawn surfaces. Use on the belt sander for fast material take-off on solid timber and MDF.
80 to 120 Medium Grit
General sanding, removing scratches from coarser grits, and preparing surfaces for finer finishing. Suitable for both belt and disc stations.
150 to 240 Fine Grit
Final sanding before finishing, paint preparation, and smoothing between coats. Leaves a surface ready for stain, oil, or lacquer application.
Tilting Belt Table
The belt sander platen tilts from 0 to 90 degrees, allowing you to sand at any angle from flat horizontal to fully vertical. Ideal for shaping angled edges, bevels, and chamfers on timber components.
Mitre Table on Disc Sander
The disc sander includes an adjustable mitre table that locks at angles from 0 to 45 degrees. Use it to sand accurate mitres on small parts, picture frame components, and box joints.
Dust Collection Port
An integrated dust extraction port on both the belt and disc station accepts standard vacuum hose connections to keep the work surface clear and reduce airborne fine dust during extended sanding sessions.
Quick-Release Belt Tensioner
The belt tension releases quickly for fast abrasive belt changes without tools. Swap grit grades between operations in seconds and get back to work without unnecessary downtime.
Belt Tracking Adjustment
An onboard tracking knob keeps the abrasive belt centred on the platen during operation. Proper tracking extends belt life, ensures even sanding, and prevents the belt from wandering off the rollers.
Compact Benchtop Footprint
Both sanding stations are integrated into a single compact unit designed for the home workshop bench. Mounts securely to a benchtop with bolts through the base for stable, vibration-free operation.

Safety Note: Always wear eye protection and a dust mask when operating this sander. Secure the unit to the bench before use. Never sand bare metal, as sparks can ignite accumulated sawdust inside the machine. Keep the dust extraction bag or vacuum connected during use to reduce fine dust exposure.
