HIGH DILUTION
Generally safe on less durable and painted surfaces – 1 part product to 5 parts water, e.g. 167mL of product makes 1L of high-dilution solution.
LOW DILUTION
For tougher jobs on relatively durable surfaces – 1 part product to 3 parts water, e.g. 250mL of product makes 1L of low-dilution solution.

How can I un-clog my glue cap and what’s the proper way to clean it?
The glue caps can actually be taken apart to help remove any blockage. Simply open the cap as far as it will go and then pull the orange part straight up and it should "pop" off. This should allow you to easily access any blockage. The blockage can be cleared with something like a toothpick or paper clip. You can also soak these separated parts in room temperature water which should help to more easily free up any blockage. Once clear, the orange part can simply be pressed/snapped back into position. Is glue made from horses or other animals?
No, Elmer's does not make glue from horses or use animals or animal parts. Elmer's products are made from synthetic materials and are not derived from processing horses, cows or any other animals.
Why doesn't glue stick to inside of the bottle?
As long as the glue remains inside the bottle away from air it will remain fluid. Glue hardens when there is a loss of water from the formula. Exposure to the atmosphere will cause the water to evaporate and make the glue harden. That's why it is important to keep the cap on the glue bottle closed to prevent hardening or drying out.
I have a milk allergy. Are your products safe for me to use?
Elmer's products are derived from synthetic materials, not any type of animal or milk protein. Of course, if you experience any kind of allergic reaction, be sure to check with your doctor regardless of the type of product you are using.

Preparation
Safety First: Always wear protective gloves and safety glasses.

Air Removal: Hold the dispenser, nozzle end up, for 30 seconds to release entrapped air. Cut the tip carefully.
Dispensing: Press the plunger slowly to dispense equal parts of resin and hardener.
Mixing: Mix thoroughly before applying.
Bonding: Apply adhesive to the surface and hold until set. Use tape or clamps if necessary.
Post-Application
Cleanup: Use acetone for cleaning.

How to use
Clean and dry the area. Remove dust, oil and loose paint.
Cut a piece of tape that overlaps the repair by at least 25 mm on all sides.
Peel the liner and position the tape carefully. Avoid touching the adhesive.
Press down firmly from the centre out to the edges to remove air bubbles.
For higher pressure or larger repairs, apply a second layer with the seam offset.
Allow time under firm pressure to achieve the best bond.

The Tip
The Tip of the 10.1 oz. Fix-A-Floor tube has been specially designed and engineered with a pre-drilled 1/8" hole for the sole purpose of filling drilled holes in loose & hollow tile, marble & stone floors.
The Tip is extra firm and allows for a strong seal which promotes good flow and complete coverage. The 1/8" pre-drilled tip allows for use in narrow grout line applications or wider. It has marked lines showing clear cut points of 3/16", 1/4" or any other size you may need.

The Nozzle

Flooring professionals often prefer polyurethane when repairing timber floors due to its strength and flexibility. The Fix-A-Floor polyurethane formula does not foam or expand when applied and cures within 24 hours. Once set, it moves naturally with the timber’s expansion and contraction, preventing cracking or bond failure. Perfect for permanently fixing loose, squeaky, or bouncy floors. Not recommended for use in moist or wet areas.
The Fix-A-Floor Large Application Syringe is another excellent option for applying the adhesive if you’d like to drill even smaller holes than 3.5 mm. Always test on a small area first to confirm desired results, and keep from freezing before use.
Directions for Repairing Timber Floors:
Locate problem areas by tapping the floor with a wooden dowel, broom handle, or similar object, and mark the perimeter using chalk or painter’s tape.
Inside the marked area, use a 3.5 mm drill bit and drill at least one hole on each end of the affected floorboard(s). Larger areas may require additional holes. Vacuum debris from each hole.
Remove the cap and unscrew the nozzle. Pierce a large hole in the tube with an awl or similar tool. If needed, clear the nozzle before screwing it back on.
Using a quality caulking gun, inject Fix-A-Floor into each drilled hole. When adhesive seeps from adjacent holes, you have achieved full coverage. Place a finger over the nozzle when moving between holes to prevent spills.
Once complete, wipe away any excess with a damp cloth or sponge and allow to cure for 24 hours before filling holes. Use a matching timber filler or putty from your local hardware store. Clean any residue with mineral turpentine. Your floor is FIXED!
