How to use
- Clean male threads so they are dry and free of debris.
- Hold the tape taut and wrap clockwise in the same direction the fitting will turn.
- Overlap each wrap by about half the tape width. Apply 3 to 6 wraps for most fittings.
- Press the tape into the threads, then assemble the joint by hand before tightening with a suitable tool.
- Do not overtighten. Test for leaks and reapply if needed.
Tips
- Clockwise wrap prevents the tape from unravelling as you tighten.
- For larger or worn threads, add a couple of extra wraps.
- Not recommended for oxygen service or fuel lines.
