Partix Multipurpose Filler Powder This product is ideal for filling cracks, holes and gaps inside the home. It is strong and can be easily sanded to a smooth finish ready for painting. When dry, it can be nailed or screwed without splitting or breaking. SUITABLE FOR Interior repairs to plaster, brick, plasterboard, masonry and timber. For repairs where movement occurs, use Parfix Gap Filler. PREPARATION Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust and loose material. Glossy surfaces should be roughened with sandpaper to provide key. MIXING Add 2½ parts of Parfix Multi-Purpose Filler to 1 part water (by volume) and mix thoroughly into a smooth paste with a clean filling knife. Once mixed, stays workable for up to 45 minutes. Remove the cap counterclockwise from the nozzle. Apply sparingly to one side only using approximately one drop per square inch of surface. Press surfaces together immediately. Hold in place for 15 to 60 seconds until bond sets. Do not reposition parts. Clean tip with a tissue and replace the cap. Clean-up: After cleaning, wet any tissue used for wiping off the glue with water and dispose of. When cleaning up larger quantities of uncured adhesive, apply water and allow to cure and then scrape up. Note this may result in damage to the surfaces. Cured adhesive may be cut away with caution using a sharp blade, removed with acetone or with boiling water. Position the items carefully, still keeping surfaces apart. Remember once joined they cannot be repositioned. When edges are perfectly aligned, press surfaces firmly together. Secure bond by running a roller over the bonded surfaces or else by hammering the surface from the centre outwards using a padded block. For bonding other materials, apply as for laminated plastics above. When small surface areas are to be joined a wet bond may be used. Simply apply Kwik Grip Solvent to one surface then bring the surfaces together and clamp until dry. Excess adhesive on the face of the jointed materials may also be removed with solvent, but care should be taken that the materials themselves are not damaged by the solvent. -Keep a canister of SELLEYS Sugar Soap Wipes nearby for a quick and effective cleanup.
