After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. • Immediately clean up spills with warm water. Q. What should I do if I start to peel off old wallpaper and it takes some of the plaster surfaces as well? A. Old plaster can become very weak and when you strip off wallpaper it sometimes takes the plaster with it. It's important to use a purpose formulated wallpaper stripping solution such as Poly Wallpaper Remover and not regular liquid soap. This will help to ease the paper off and reduce the chances of damaging the plaster surface. For plaster that has been slightly damaged, use Polyfilla Interior Small Cracks. If the damage is deep, use Polyfilla Interior Large Cracks. Q. How do I remove vinyl wallpaper? A. Initially peel vinyl overlay off the backing paper. Use Poly Wallpaper Remover to soften backing paper then peel off or remove with a paint scraper.

  • PC11 Waterproof Marine White Epoxy cures underwater Syringe 28g

PC Products PC11 Waterproof Marine White Epoxy cures underwater Syringe 28g

Out Of Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

PC-11® thrives in wet environments. It is resistant to water whether it is fresh or salt. Thick consistency like PC-7® and long open time (30 min). Work horizontal or vertical, indoor or outdoor. Wet, dry or under water. Whether you are working on an area where you just can’t remove water and moisture or you want the white colour for your repair, PC-11® is your choice. Choose PC-11® for ceramic repairs, pools and spas, fibreglass boats, tubs and sinks, stock tanks and thousands of other repairs. It has excellent adhesive properties bonding metals, fibreglass, wood, tile and some plastics such as ABS and rigid PVC. Ample open time allows tooling or positioning in order to tackle larger and challenging jobs. When mixed, the epoxy, part A (white) and the hardener part B (lt. blue) react to form a bond of tremendous strength and flexibility. The PC-11® formulation is slow curing, but slow can be a good thing especially for large tasks. WORKING TIME: 30 MINUTES CURE TIME: 24 HOURS (48 HOURS FOR FULL CURE) PC-11® is thick. Thick is good if you need to work vertically or want to hold an object in place. How thick? Not quite as thick as peanut butter. Here are just a few specific uses (there are hundreds of other uses): Reattach missing swimming pool tiles. Patch a hole in a fibreglass canoe or the fibreglass keel of a fishing boat. Repair cracked or damage swimming pool or hot tub skimmer. Waterproof and Seal cracked fibreglass. Seal screw holes to hatch lids or seating. Attach fish locators to transom. Repair stock tanks. Repair broken refrigerator door shelf fixtures. Repair broken pottery. Repair shower basin or antique bath tub. Seal leaking air conditioner drip pan. Seal underground conduit. How to prepare a surface for bonding with PC-11® Epoxy Paste Remove contaminants such as dust, dirt, oil, barnacles and grime with a solvent such as Denatured Alcohol, Acetone, Rubbing Alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or Lacquer Thinner. A mild detergent solution in water is also good removing contaminants. Use a clean paper towel or rag for wiping. Do not use Mineral Spirits or Paint Thinner for removing contaminants. For a wet or underwater surface; clean contaminants as best as you can. Solvents will not help you in this situation. Remove rust and loose paint with sandpaper or wire brush. Epoxy typically sticks to most paints. If there is a concern of the paint’s adhesion then remove it with sandpaper or wire brush. Smooth, glossy and shiny surfaces should be roughened using sandpaper to increase adhesion. How to clean-up after PC-11® Epoxy Paste application Use Denatured Alcohol, Acetone, Rubbing Alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or Lacquer Thinner to clean tools and mixing surface before PC-11® cures. Clean hands and skin with soap and water. Cured epoxy can be removed by applying Paint Remover or Paint Stripper to soften the epoxy surface. Scratch off the softened epoxy. Repeat as needed. Can PC-11® be used in Aquariums? There is the potential for PC-11® part A and part B to harm sea life but properly measured and mixed PC-11® has been used safely in fresh and saltwater aquariums. It is important that part A and B are thoroughly and completely mixed. What plastics does PC-11® stick to? PC-11® has good adhesion to Rigid PVC and CPVC, polyester and fiberglass, polyurethane, ABS and Bakelite. What plastics does PC-11® not stick to? PC-11® does not stick to polyethylene, polypropylene, HDPE, polystyrene, nylon, acrylic, Teflon, and polycarbonate. What rubbers does PC-11® stick to? PC-11® sticks to SBR, Buna, and polyurethane rubbers and does not stick to EPDM, vinyl and neoprene rubbers. What temperatures can PC-11® be applied? PC-11® cures very slowly at temperatures below 50°F (10°C). At or below freezing temperatures the PC-11® will stop curing. In hot conditions, above 95°F (35°C), PC-11® will cure rapidly reducing the working or application time. Can gel coat be applied to PC-11®? Gel coat will not cure properly in direct contact with PC-11®. It is important that repairs made with PC-11® be sealed with a suitable primer/sealer before applying a gel coat. Can PC-11® be painted? Yes. It is good practice to apply a premium stain sealing primer to repairs made with PC-11® prior to the finish coat. Will PC-11® yellow in direct sunlight? Yes, PC-11® yellows in direct sunlight. PC-11® resists ultraviolet light but will still gradually change colour. Prime and paint if the colour is important. Can PC-11® be thinned with solvent? PC-11® does not contain solvents. Acetone and denatured alcohol (ethanol) are compatible but will extend the cure time and decrease the hardness. Other solvents such as mineral spirits, paint thinner and turpentine are not compatible. PC-11® is a simple one to one mix, but how accurately does the measurement need to be? The volume of part A to part B should be close to equal. A slight excess of part A is preferable to an excess of part B. Excess of part B will not accelerate the curing and it may make it softer.

Imagine a liquid epoxy that is clear – A liquid epoxy with strength rivalling that of heavy duty paste epoxies – A liquid epoxy that has flexibility and is shatter resistant – A work time of 4 minutes and 1 hour cure time. Imagine NO LONGER! PC-Clear ™ Epoxy is a medium viscosity liquid epoxy system with greater clarity than other epoxies. This product is excellent for repairs and projects that must be less visible such as art objects or collectibles. PC-Clear™ epoxy is fast curing but allows ample time to apply and position the repair. After curing the epoxy does not become brittle, instead cured PC- Clear™ forms a tough resilient bond. PC-Clear™ can be used on more than just cosmetically critical repairs and in addition, it can be used for automotive, construction and facility repairs. Use PC-Clear™ when you are concerned about the appearance of your repair and a liquid epoxy is what you are looking for. Work time is about 4 minutes and cures in 1 hour. Here are just a few specific uses (there are hundreds of other uses): Fasten galvanized steel to a concrete floor. Bond sheet metal to wood or masonry. Seal and insulate electrical connections and electronic boards. Protect electronic components from vibration and moisture. Repair porcelain or sculptures. Reattach multiple broken pieces in a vase. How to prepare a surface for bonding with PC-Clear™ Epoxy Remove contaminants such as dust, dirt, oil and grime with a solvent such as Denatured Alcohol (ethanol), Acetone, Rubbing Alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or Lacquer Thinner. A mild detergent solution in water is also good for removing contaminants. Use a clean paper towel or rag for wiping. Do not use Mineral Spirits or Paint Thinner for removing contaminants. Remove rust and loose paint with sandpaper or wire brush. Epoxy typically sticks to most paints. If there is a concern of the paint’s adhesion then remove it with sandpaper, wire brush or paint stripper. Smooth, glossy and shiny surfaces should be roughened using sandpaper to increase adhesion. How to clean-up after PC-Clear™ Epoxy application Clean up mixed epoxy before it cures with paper towels and solvent. Denatured Alcohol (ethanol), Acetone, Rubbing Alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or Lacquer Thinner are suitable solvents for removing uncured epoxy. Cured epoxy can be removed with paint stripper or remover. FAQ Is PC-Clear™ Epoxy different from other clear epoxies? Some epoxies claim to be clear but they have a strong yellow tint that develops after it cures. PC-Clear™ Epoxy has a very slight hint of yellow that does not increase after curing. How does PC-Clear™ Epoxy’s strength compare to other epoxies? PC-Clear Epoxy™ is a strong adhesive with Lap Shear Adhesion strength on steel of 2500 psi. Is PC-Clear™ Epoxy brittle? PC-Clear™ Epoxy is slightly flexible and more resilient than other liquid epoxies. How does outdoor exposure affect cured PC-Clear™? Ultraviolet light will cause cured PC-Clear’s™ appearance to change and may cause yellowing. What is the best way to mix PC-Clear™? How you mix PC-Clear™ Epoxy will affect the length of working time. Flat surface mixing spreads the epoxy over an area minimizing the exotherm’s effect on the curing reaction and maximizing the length of work life. Mixing in a container concentrates the exotherm contributing to an increased rate of reaction and decreasing the work life. Why does PC-Clear™ Epoxy have a strong odor? The epoxy resin is nearly odorless. The hardener is the smelly part. It has an odor described as smelling like sewer gas or hair treatments. This odor comes from the polymercaptan but goes away upon curing. Does PC-Clear™ Epoxy self-level? PC-Clear Epoxy™ is a liquid and is self-levelling. How many feet of does the PC-Superepoxy® 50 ml cartridge nozzle dispense? PC-Superepoxy® can dispense approximately 20 feet of 1/8 inch bead. Can PC-Clear™ Epoxy be colored or tinted? PC-Clear™ Epoxy can be tinted.

This is a two-part, smooth, dark grey paste that cures to form a hard, durable polymer that is extremely thermally conductive, yet electrically insulating. It is it very viscous because it is highly filled with thermally conductive ceramic powders for maximum thermal conductivity. It bonds well to metals, ceramics, glass, and most plastics used in electronic assemblies. It has a convenient 1-to-1 mix ratio and a 4-hour working life. The mixed adhesive can essentially act like a one-part adhesive for the duration of a work shift. Unlike one-part adhesives, it does not require high curing temperatures or frozen storage, and it has a very long shelf life. This product comes packaged in separate 3 mL graduated syringes that can be accurately dispensed Applications & Usages This product is designed to bond heat sinks, LED’s, and other heat generating components in electronic assemblies. It is suitable for manufacturing, repair, and hobbyist sectors. Use it when a thixotropic adhesive paste with maximum thermal conductivity and a very long working life is required. For automatic dispensing applications, use the 8329TFS, which has a lower viscosity at the cost of slightly lower thermal conductivity. If there is old difficult to remove residue such as oold paint, we recommend using paint stripper such as Selleys Kwik Strip Smart. Ensure the surface is dry before applying the product. In case of contact with eyes, flush with water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention. Non toxic when set. For further information refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
