For best performance, pair with these Loxeal products: Loxeal Activator 9: accelerates cure to just 1 to 4 seconds on slow, dry or porous surfaces, and sets excess adhesive instantly. Loxeal Primer 7: needed to bond polyolefins such as polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), PTFE, silicone and EPDM. Loxeal Istant 23 Super Glue Fluid Cyanoacrylate Adhesive 20g Loxeal Istant 23 is a fluid, general purpose super glue built on ethyl cyanoacrylate chemistry. Its low viscosity (40–80 mPa·s) wicks neatly into close-fitting joints, and it bonds rubber, metal and most plastics in seconds by reacting with trace moisture on the surfaces. The medium setting speed leaves a short window to seat parts accurately before the adhesive grabs. Supplied in a 20g bottle that suits both the workbench and the kitchen drawer. Why choose Loxeal Istant 23? Fluid, self-wicking formula – flows into tight joints with gaps of 10–60 microns Fast fixture – grabs in as little as 3–30 seconds on common plastics and metals Genuinely versatile – one bottle covers rubber, metals and most rigid plastics Clear, strong bond line – colourless cure with tensile strength of 12–25 N/mm² Solvent-free, single part – no mixing, no clamping hardware, straight from the bottle Typical applications Everyday repairs across rubber, metal and plastic parts O-rings, seals and neoprene/NBR rubber components Small component assembly in production and maintenance work Household and hobby fixes where a fast, tidy bond is needed How to use Clean and degrease both surfaces and allow them to dry fully. Apply a small amount of adhesive to one surface only – with super glue, less is more. Bring the parts together promptly, align, and hold with light pressure for a few seconds. Leave the joint undisturbed while strength develops; avoid heavy loads until fully cured. Cure times Fixture speed depends on the substrate, gap, temperature and humidity. Typical fixture times: neoprene/NBR under 5 seconds; PVC 3–10 seconds; aluminium 5–15 seconds; steel 10–30 seconds; ABS 10–30 seconds; zinc 30–90 seconds. Allow up to 24 hours for full strength. If setting is too slow, pair it with Loxeal Activator 9; for polyethylene, polypropylene, silicone rubber or PTFE, prime first with Loxeal Primer 7. Specifications Chemistry Ethyl cyanoacrylate Colour Clear / colourless Viscosity (+25°C) 40–80 mPa·s (fluid) Gap fill 10–60 microns Fixture time 3–90 seconds, substrate dependent Tensile strength 12–25 N/mm² (ISO 6922) Service temperature -50°C to +80°C Shelf life 12 months in original unopened packaging Pack size 20g bottle Important notes Bonds skin instantly – avoid contact with skin and eyes, and keep away from children. Selleys Araldite Ultimate Bond is a grey two-part epoxy adhesive engineered for the most demanding repairs, delivering a durable, long-lasting bond that holds up to 200kg/cm² when fully cured on stainless steel. It is the toughest of the Araldite range, designed to be tug and snap proof for fixes that need to stay put. About this adhesive Two-part system of resin (Part A) and hardener (Part B) mixed in a 2:1 ratio. Bonds a wide range of surfaces with a strong, rigid, durable join. Sets in around 5 minutes and is touch-firm fast, with a low-odour formula. Made from 20% bio-based carbon. Working (usable) time of roughly 3-4 minutes at 20°C, so mix only what you can apply. What it bonds China, ceramic and porcelain Metal Glass Leather (pre-test for compatibility) Rubber (pre-test for compatibility) Wood and timber Most rigid plastics Where to use it Indoor: repairing crockery, ornaments and ceramics, refitting loose furniture joints, bonding metal, glass and timber components, and general household fixes. Outdoor: durable repairs on tools, garden and workshop items where a tough, weather-durable bond is required. Bond strength depends on substrate, bond size and surface preparation, and set times lengthen in colder weather. How to use it 1. Abrade, clean and dry both surfaces so they are free of dust, grease and loose oxides. 2. Snap the cap from the plunger and carefully cut the sealed tips at the end of the nozzle. 3. Apply even pressure to the plunger to dispense both liquids onto a clean disposable surface (2:1 ratio) and mix thoroughly with a spatula. 4. Apply the mixed glue to both surfaces, then bring them together. 5. Hold in place with tape or weights if needed and avoid undue strain on the joint for at least 60 minutes. Cures in 24 hours; maximise the bond area (minimum 2.25cm²) for best performance after full cure. Replace the cap on the nozzle for storage and clean up any uncured adhesive with acetone. Important notes Will not bond PTFE, polyethylene or polypropylene plastics. Bond will soften above 60°C but strength is restored once the temperature returns to normal. May discolour if exposed to UV. Full cure takes more than 72 hours. Not recommended where a clear, invisible bond is required, as the cured adhesive is grey. Press the sheet into position and fix with screws or nails as the lining system requires. Refer to the tub label for open time and cure guidance. Wash tools and hands in warm soapy water before the adhesive dries. Important notes Dab size and spacing should follow the plasterboard system you are installing; the adhesive complements, not replaces, mechanical fixings. Store in a cool place out of direct sunlight with the lid sealed. Dried residue is combustible even though the wet paste is not; let spills harden and dispose of them per local regulations. Specifications Size 1kg tub Type Water-based acrylic stud adhesive Colour Light blue Consistency Thick non-slump paste Substrates Plasterboard to timber and steel studs Standard AS 2753 Clean up Warm soapy water Made in Australia SafetyNot classified as hazardous and not a scheduled poison. The paste is non-flammable. It may mildly irritate eyes, and repeated or prolonged skin contact can cause irritation, so wear safety glasses (especially when fixing ceilings) and rubber gloves, and work with adequate ventilation. If it gets in the eyes, irrigate with water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention; skin washes clean with warm soapy water. If swallowed, rinse the mouth, drink water, do not induce vomiting and seek medical advice. Keep out of reach of children. Refer to the manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet before use.

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Organoil Woodguard is a deeply penetrating oil treatment made to look after brand-new exterior timber in the period between installation and final finishing. Fresh hardwood often carries high moisture and, left bare, can cup, split, crack or bleed tannins as it dries out. Woodguard soaks into the boards and stabilises them while they acclimatise, so the timber arrives at oiling day in sound, even condition. It is made in Australia by Prep Productions and formulated for harsh Australian and New Zealand exposure.Formula overviewA natural-oil blend built around tung oil and beeswax, carried by dipentene, a citrus-derived solvent. Rather than forming a film on top of the wood, the blend penetrates the timber surface, which is why it is applied as a single coat and later over-coated with a finishing oil.Where to use itOutdoor: new, raw timber decking, joists, bearers, cladding, posts, rails and exterior joinery. Particularly recommended for dense or high-moisture hardwoods such as spotted gum and plantation species before they are oiled.Indoor: not intended for interior finishing. Woodguard is an exterior pre-treatment, not a furniture or floor finish. How to use Stir well before use, as natural oils can settle. New raw timber can be treated directly. Timber that has already weathered in the elements should first be cleaned with a timber wash such as Organoil Wash-A-Way. Apply one coat only, using a brush or lambswool applicator. Coverage is up to 12 square metres per coat depending on timber density and porosity. Allow the treatment to dry fully before applying your finishing oil. Follow the can label for drying guidance. Important notes Woodguard is an interim protectant, not a final finish. Plan to apply a decking or exterior timber oil afterwards. Designed as a one-coat application. Do not over-apply. For new or raw untreated timber only. Previously coated timber should be stripped and washed first. Specifications Size 4 litres Base Solvent-borne natural oils (tung oil, beeswax, citrus-derived dipentene) Coats 1 Coverage Up to 12 m² per coat Finish Matt, natural Application Brush or lambswool applicator Made in Australia SafetyCombustible liquid (flash point around 61°C). Keep away from heat, sparks and open flames, and store below 30°C in a tightly closed container in a well-ventilated area. Rags and applicators soaked in this product can self-heat and spontaneously combust: lay used rags flat to dry outdoors or soak them in water before disposal. May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways; do not induce vomiting, rinse the mouth and call the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26. May irritate skin and eyes and can cause an allergic skin reaction in sensitised people, so wear gloves and eye protection. Keep out of reach of children. Selleys Selleys Liquid Nails Fast Grab Construction Adhesive 420g (20 Pack)

In Stock  Express Post: 1-3 Days | Standard Post: 2-5 Days

Liquid Nails Fast is a water-based, high-strength construction adhesive with fast grab and low odour. It has a thick, non-runny consistency and is ideal for adhering timbers and other porous construction materials. Once dry, it has a beige (light tan) finish. Uses Liquid Nails Fast has a high initial grab that reduces the need to support joins while the adhesive cures. The grab works best with porous surfaces. It bonds to a wide range of materials including MDF, particle board, timber, plasterboard, styrene foam, masonry, concrete, tiles, ceramics, metals, plastics*, rubber and glass. Faster results occur when at least one surface is porous. Typical applications include: Areas where nailing is not desirable Skirting boards, architraves, and cornices Wall panelling to masonry Styrene foam to metal roofing Technical Features Fast grab – high initial holding reduces slippage on vertical surfaces Complies with AS 2329-1999 (Mastic adhesives for fixing wall boards) Non-drip formula – does not sag or string between panels Bridges gaps and adheres to uneven surfaces Low mess – excess can be wiped away with a damp cloth No solvent fumes – ideal for indoor projects Flexible – withstands thermal movement and vibration Heat resistant – maintains bond strength under sunlight Paintable when dry Easy to extrude in all temperatures Application Tips Use in conjunction with permanent mechanical fasteners except for low-stress applications such as wall panelling or lightweight fixtures. Bonds are not water resistant – protect from water if used outdoors. Drying time is extended in cold or damp conditions and with non-porous materials. Thicker layers take longer to dry. Test plastics before use – adheres well to UPVC but not to polyethylene or polypropylene. For wood flooring, use solvent-based Liquid Nails instead. Satisfactory for fixing sheet flooring to joists with the manufacturer’s minimum nailing specification, but not recommended for bonding sheet flooring to existing or concrete floors. Technical Details & Performance Good bond strength after 24 hours on porous substrates; continues strengthening over 2–3 days. Appearance: Smooth beige paste, free from lumps and air bubbles Specific Gravity: Approx. 1.44 g/mL @ 25°C Viscosity: 7000–9000 Poise Slump: 0 mm (typical) Shear Adhesion Strength (7 days, AS2329): >1500 kPa (Hoop pine substrate) Peel Adhesion Strength (7 days cure): 40 N/25 mm (variant to AS2329) Initial Bond Strength (24 hrs): >200 kPa Heat Resistance: Withstands up to 140°C temporarily. Suitable for residential fit-outs, maintenance, repairs, and light commercial projects. Suitable materials ceramic tiles porcelain tiles mosaics stone suitable for porous adhesives most interior substrates Typical applications General installation, repair, and maintenance where a durable bond is required. Interior work that benefits from a neat finish and tidy joints. Projects where dependable initial grab and high final strength are important. Surface preparation Ensure all surfaces are clean, sound, and dry. Remove dust, oil, release agents, laitance, and any loose or flaky material. For dense or non-porous surfaces, light abrasion improves key. Test adhesion on a small area if you are unsure about compatibility. Observe local safety requirements when sanding or cutting. Application Check ambient and substrate temperature. Ideal application between 10°C and 30°C. Protect from freezing and rapid drying. Cut the nozzle to the required bead size or prepare the container according to the product type. Apply an even bead or spread with a suitable trowel where required. Avoid trapping air. Press the materials together, ensuring full contact. For sheet goods, roll firmly to promote transfer and wetting. Support, clamp, or brace as needed until the adhesive develops sufficient handling strength. Cure and working time Pot life and open time vary by product. Typically, tiles can be adjusted within minutes. Grouting commonly permitted after 24 hours under standard conditions. Cooler temperatures and high humidity will slow curing, while warmer, drier conditions accelerate it. Do not load or finish until the bond has developed adequate strength. Always follow best practice for ventilation and safe handling during cure. Coverage Coverage varies based on substrate profile, bead size, and installation method. As a guide, a 300 ml cartridge with a 6 mm round bead can lay several linear meters. For trowel applied adhesives, a notched trowel pattern will influence yield. Plan to have extra on hand for porous or uneven surfaces. Limitations Do not apply to surfaces that are visibly wet unless the product specifically allows damp application. Avoid continuous water immersion unless the product is rated for that exposure. Not all plastics are compatible; test on polypropylene, polyethylene, and PTFE if required. Observe maximum service temperature and any movement or vibration limits appropriate to the application. Clean up Clean excess adhesive from tile faces immediately with a damp sponge. Hardened material must be removed mechanically. Always read the product label and follow local regulations for disposal of leftover material and containers. Safety Read the label before use and keep out of reach of children. Use in a well ventilated area. Wear protective gloves and eye protection. If on skin, wash with soap and water. If in eyes, rinse cautiously and seek medical advice if irritation persists. Do not ingest. Refer to the product Safety Data Sheet for detailed information. Storage Store upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep the cap or nozzle tightly closed when not in use. Do not allow to freeze unless the product literature states it is freeze-thaw stable. Rotate stock to use older product first. Troubleshooting Poor adhesion: Check surface prep, remove contaminants, and reapply with firm pressure. Slow cure: Verify temperature and humidity. Increase airflow or allow more time. Excess squeeze-out: Reduce bead size or spread more evenly. Clean residue before it skins. Frequently asked questions Can I paint over it? Many adhesives can be overcoated once cured. Test a small area with your paint system first. Is it suitable outdoors? Check the product label for outdoor rating. Protect fresh adhesive from rain until cured. What is the service temperature range? Typical service ranges suit most building environments. Avoid direct flame or extreme heat. How do I remove cured material? Mechanical methods are usually required. Work carefully to avoid damaging surrounding finishes. Why buy from Glues Australia We curate a focused range so you can choose faster and build better.
