Bostik Hard Plastics Glue Clear Repair 20ml

Description

Bostik Hard Plastics Glue is a clear, fast-setting adhesive designed for rigid plastic repairs around the home, garage, and workshop. It forms a strong, durable bond that resists impacts and everyday handling while drying clear for a neat finish.

Best for

  • ABS, PVC, acrylic, polycarbonate, polystyrene
  • Household repairs, toys, car trim, appliance covers
  • Small craft fixes and model making

Not suitable for

  • Polyethylene or polypropylene
  • PTFE or silicone surfaces
  • Surfaces that are oily, dusty, or wet

Key features

  • Clear finish that blends with most plastics
  • Fast initial grab with strong final cure
  • Impact and vibration resistant
  • Precision nozzle for controlled application

Surface preparation

  1. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or release agents.
  2. Lightly roughen glossy plastic with fine sandpaper to improve adhesion, then wipe clean.

How to use

  1. Test on a small hidden area first.
  2. Apply a thin, even layer to one surface. Avoid excess.
  3. Join parts immediately and hold firmly for 30 to 60 seconds.
  4. Allow to set undisturbed. Handling strength is typically reached within minutes.
  5. Full cure develops over 12 to 24 hours depending on temperature and humidity.

Tips

  • For tight fitting parts, less is more. A thin film gives the strongest bond.
  • Use clamps or tape to maintain alignment while the adhesive sets.

Cleanup

Wipe fresh adhesive immediately with a suitable solvent on a cloth. Cured residue may need careful mechanical removal.

Storage and safety

  • Replace cap after use and store upright in a cool, dry place.
  • Use in a well ventilated area.
  • Avoid skin and eye contact. Keep out of reach of children.
