Description
Command Outdoor Light Clips by 3M give you a fast, damage free way to hang string lights, fairy lights, LED and rope lights, cables and seasonal decorations outdoors, with no nails, screws or tools. The clear clips sit low and blend into most surfaces for a tidy finish, and they come off cleanly when the season is over.
The clips hold using 3M stretch release adhesive strips, the same removable technology used across the Command range. The outdoor formulation is water resistant and UV resistant, so the clips keep their grip through rain, sun and temperature swings, and release without leaving holes, marks or sticky residue.
Where to use it
- Outdoors on sealed, smooth surfaces such as doors, flat vinyl siding, soffits, finished or varnished fences, tile, painted cinder block, windows and along guttering.
- Around door frames and windows, up siding, under railings and eaves to outline a lighting display.
How to use it
- Wipe the surface clean and dry first, using a general purpose cleaner rather than a wax based one.
- Press the strip onto the clip and the clip firmly onto the surface, then wait about an hour before hanging your lights.
- Space roughly one clip every 60cm along the run. The clips suit rope lights or cords up to about 10mm thick.
- To remove, hold the base and pull the strip slowly straight down until it releases.
Important notes
- Not suitable for rough or unfinished surfaces such as brick, rough sawn timber or cement board, nor for wallpaper or other delicate surfaces.
- Made for outdoor temperatures in roughly the -6C to 52C range.
- Do not use to hang valuable or irreplaceable items.
