Description
The Cyclone Combo Knife Spline Roller is a two-in-one flyscreen installation tool that presses synthetic screen mesh into the spline channel and trims the excess in the same job. A steel roller wheel sits at one end and a hawkbill knife at the other, so you can fit and finish a screen without swapping tools. It is aimed at professional installers but works just as well for anyone re-screening their own windows and doors.
About the product
The roller end has a heavy duty steel wheel held between double forks with ball bearing rollers, which keeps the action smooth and steady as you work along the frame. The knife end is a hawkbill blade with a honed edge for cutting off surplus screen once the spline is seated. A soft, ergonomic grip makes it more comfortable over a long run of screens.
Where to use it
Indoors: fitting or replacing synthetic flyscreen in window and door frames that use a spline channel, whether you are working at a bench or in the workshop.
Outdoors: on-site re-screening of installed screen frames, such as sliding doors, windows and screen doors.
How to use it
- Lay the synthetic screen mesh over the frame, covering the spline channel.
- Use the steel wheel to press the screen and spline into the channel, working steadily along each side.
- Finish by trimming the excess screen with the hawkbill knife end.
Important notes
Designed for installing synthetic flyscreen. The knife end is sharp, so cut away from your body and hands and keep the blade tip pointed away from the finished screen. Please check that your spline width suits the roller wheel before you start.

Care and storage
Wipe the wheel and blade clean after use and keep the tool dry to protect the steel and bearings. Store it somewhere dry, out of reach of children, and take care with the exposed knife edge when handling or putting it away.
