Description
Mont Marte Deco Pudge Gloss is a three-in-one craft product that works as a decoupage glue, an art sealer and a gloss varnish, supplied here in a 300ml bottle. One product lets you stick paper down, seal the surface and finish the piece with a clear, shiny coat, so you don't need to switch between products mid-project.
About the formula
A non-toxic, water-based formula that dries to a clear gloss finish. It can be brushed over acrylic paint, stains, wood, fabric and decoupage work, and it can be sanded lightly between coats if you want a smoother, glossier result. Because it is water-based, brushes and hands wash up with soap and water while the product is still wet.
Where to use it
Indoors: decoupage on timber boxes, frames and furniture pieces, scrapbooking and paper collage, school and kids' craft projects, and sealing acrylic-painted or stained craft pieces.
Outdoors: not recommended. This product is listed for indoor use only.
Suitable surfaces include paper, wood and fabric, as well as acrylic-painted and stained craft surfaces. Test on an offcut or hidden area first if you are unsure about a particular material.
How to use it
Start with a clean, dry surface. For decoupage, brush a thin layer of Deco Pudge onto the surface under your paper, press the paper down and smooth out any air bubbles. Once the paper is in place, seal over the top with 2 to 3 thin coats, letting each coat dry before applying the next. For sealing or varnishing painted or stained work, brush on thin, even layers in the same way. A light sand between coats will give a smoother, glossier finish. Clean brushes and tools with soap and water while the product is still wet, and close the lid after use.
Important notes
Thin coats work best. It is touch dry in about 30 minutes and fully dry in about 24 hours. For indoor craft use only. Store the bottle sealed in a cool place between 5 and 30 deg C, away from direct sunlight. This product is not intended for children to use unsupervised.
