Description
Parfix Gap Filler White is a flexible, paintable acrylic gap sealant for tidying up interior joints, supplied here as a six-pack of 450g tubes for bigger jobs or repeat use. It fills the small gaps and hairline cracks that open up around trims and frames, and it stays flexible enough to move with the surfaces either side of the joint.
About the formula
A water-based acrylic paste in white. Because it remains flexible after drying, it copes with the minor movement between timber, plasterboard and other building materials better than a rigid filler. The dried finish can be painted over, so the repair blends into the surrounding wall or trim.
Where to use it
Indoors: gaps between skirting boards or architraves and the wall, around door and window frames, and along cracks or joints in walls and ceilings where a little movement is expected.
Outdoors: not recommended. This product is sold for interior applications.
Suitable for use on common interior building surfaces such as timber, plasterboard and painted walls. Check the pack label if you are unsure about a particular surface.
How to use it
Make sure the joint is clean, dry and free of dust, grease and loose material. Cut the nozzle to suit the width of the gap, load the tube into a caulking gun and run a steady bead into the joint. Smooth it off with a damp finger or tool for a neat finish, and wipe away excess before it dries. Once it is fully dry, the surface can be painted. Tools and uncured product clean up with water, and cured sealant needs to be cut or scraped away.
Important notes
Drying and curing times depend on joint depth, temperature and humidity, so allow plenty of time before painting and follow the directions on the pack. For interior use only. Replace the cap on a part-used tube so the remaining product does not dry out.

Safety
Use with normal care: work in a well-ventilated area, avoid contact with eyes and skin, and wear gloves and safety glasses where sensible. Wash hands after use and keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place with the cap on. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full details.
