Description
Velcro Brand Stick On Hook and Loop Tape in black is a cut-to-length, peel-and-stick fastener that lets you hang, attach and organise lightweight items indoors without nails, screws or glue. It suits home, office and classroom jobs where you want a neat, tool-free fixing on a smooth surface.
About the formula
A nylon hook and loop set with an adhesive backing on each side. You cut a length off the 25mm wide, 1m roll to match the job, peel away the backing and press it into place. The hook and loop faces press together to form a fastener you can open and close repeatedly. The black finish blends in on most surfaces.
Where to use it
Indoors: displaying posters, signs, prints and artwork, labelling storage containers, keeping frequently used items within reach, and light craft or display projects.
Outdoors: not recommended. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and the elements will damage the fastener.
Suited to smooth, clean, dry indoor surfaces such as wood, metal, glass, cardboard and plastic (test plastics first, as the adhesive may not grip every type).
How to use it
Clean and dry the surface first so it is free of dust, grease and moisture. Cut the tape to the length you need, remove the backing from the hook and loop pieces, and press them firmly onto both surfaces. For best adhesion, apply at room temperature, ideally between 18 and 24°C. Test a small area first if you are unsure about the surface.
Important notes
The adhesive reaches its maximum strength after about 24 hours, so allow time to set before putting weight on it. This general-purpose tape is intended for lightweight items. Not recommended for laundered fabrics, PVC, wallpaper, loose paint, or porous or flaking surfaces, and not suitable for wet areas. Moving the fastener after it has been stuck down will weaken the adhesive and may mark the surface. For heavier loads, rough surfaces or outdoor jobs, choose a heavy duty tape instead.

Safety
Use with normal care. Cut the tape with sharp scissors, keep small offcuts away from young children and pets, and store the roll in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full details.
