How to Use Preparation For new tiling jobs, use Selleys White For Life Tiling Adhesives. Ensure that the tile adhesive has set (usually 24-48hrs). Remove spacers, rake out excessive, dust, debris etc from the joints. If re-grouting remove old grout and clean thoroughly with Selleys Rapid Mould Killer and allow to dry. Do not grout at temperatures below 10°C, or in damp conditions. Before grouting, check ease of removal from matt or textured tile surfaces. Seal porous tiles before grouting or removal of grout from tiles will be difficult. Application Cut seal, screw on nozzle, cut to size. Apply with a caulking gun, forcing grout into joints (for cartridge only). Grout small areas at a time. Work the grout into the joints and smooth off using a rubber squeegee or grout float, moving diagonally across the joints with several passes to compact the grout lines and minimise the amount left on the face of the tiles – avoid moving along the joint as this removes grout from the joint. Tip: hold float/squeegee at 45° angle; clean regularly. Clean up with water, before grout sets. Allow grout to firm up in joints for approx 20 min (longer in colder conditions). Using a damp (not wet) sponge, clean tile surfaces, by wiping lightly, in a circular motion. Finish with a single wipe diagonally across the tile with a clean damp ( not wet) sponge. Avoid repeated wiping as this may remove grout which is not yet fully set, from the joints. Buff and polish the tile surface, after 24hours, with a soft clean cloth. Handy tips -For filling only, can be tinted with iron oxide or other dry pigments which must be mixed in very thoroughly. -Softens at high temperatures, but strength returns when cooled. -Wear protective gloves and eye protection when mixing or using. -Keep a canister of SELLEYS Sugar Soap Wipes nearby for a quick and effective cleanup. -Clean up excess material with Acetone immediately. Once set the product cannot be removed easily -To remove product after cure, mechanical action (scraping or sanding) is recommended. Since the product is chemically resistant solvent will NOT dissolve this product. -To reposition the bond once cured, check that the item is heat resistant. If safe, heat the item slowly, e.g. in an oven, to at least 150oC. The product will soften and liquify slightly. Scrape off any excess then reposition the joint carefully using appropriate safety equipment. Allow the item to cool down in the correct position. The product will reharden once returned to room temperature. Safety tips -Avoid contact with skin and eyes and avoid breathing its vapours. -Wear protective gloves when mixing and using. -If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Cover one surface in the adhesive in long vertical strips. After applying the adhesive, press surfaces together firmly, ensuring the adhesive spreads. Clean up any excess product with methylated spirits.

Liquid Nails Fast is a water-based high strength (*) construction adhesive with fast grab and low odour. It has a thick, non-runny consistency and is ideal for adhering timbers and other porous construction materials. After drying it is beige (light tan) in colour. Uses Liquid Nails Fast has high initial (immediate) grab which reduces the need to support joins while the adhesive cures. The initial grab works best with porous surfaces. It will bond to many building materials including MDF, particle board, timber, plaster board, styrene foam, masonry, concrete, tiles, ceramics, metals, plastics*, rubber and glass. Faster results are achieved when at least one surface is porous. If porous surfaces are greasy or dirty, we would recommend cleaning the surface with SELLEYS LIQUID SUGAR SOAP, and allow to dry. If the surface is non-porous eg metal, firstly clean the surface with Mineral Turpetine and then again with Methylated Spirits, and allow to dry. Surfaces should not be visibly wet or constantly damp. Oily timber types may need to be wiped with solvent prior to application to remove surface oils. We also recommend sanding the surface back with a good quality sanding block, as the construction adhesive will adhere more readily to a scratched up surface. Ezi Press remove cap Remove tab lock and nozzle cap. Twist collar clockwise towards MAX and adjust between MIN and MAX to control flow. Ezi Press application Simply press lever gently to dispense filler to surface. On broad flat surfaces apply beads every 40cm, on smaller surfaces apply dots. Bring surfaces together as soon as possible (within first 5 mins). Fix with sufficient nails, screws or clamping to hold load. Ezi Press min max Clean up with a damp cloth, twist collar back to MIN and replace nozzle cap. Allow the adhesive to set (at least 24 hours) before removing any temporary fasteners or clamping. For higher initial grab, apply to one surface only, press together and pull apart. Allow to dry for up to 5 min (no longer) before firmly joining.
