The Arlo Essential Security Camera (3rd Gen) is a battery-powered 2K camera for keeping an eye on your home, supplied here as a two-camera pack so you can cover the front and back of the property in one go. With no power cable to run, you can mount each camera wherever it gives the best view, then check in live or review alerts from your phone.
About the product
Each camera records sharp 2K video with a wide 130 degree field of view, so you see more of the yard, driveway or entry with fewer blind spots. Colour night vision helps you pick out detail after dark, and a built-in microphone and speaker let you listen, talk to visitors and cut through background noise with two-way audio. If something looks wrong, the integrated siren can be sounded from the app. Arlo Intelligence smart notifications are designed to flag the events that matter rather than every passing movement, and the cameras connect over dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz).
Where to use it
Indoors: hallways, living areas, garages and entry points where you want a clear view without running cables.
Outdoors: front door, driveway, side access and backyard. The cameras are weather-resistant and rated for outdoor use.

How to use it
Charge the cameras, add them in the Arlo Secure app and follow the guided setup, which most people finish in a few minutes. Fix each camera to a wall with the supplied mount and screws, or place it where it has a clear view, then adjust your alert settings in the app. When the battery runs low, take the camera down and recharge it.
Important notes
A 30-day trial of an Arlo Secure plan is included. After the trial, a paid subscription is needed to keep Arlo Secure features such as cloud video history and smart detections. Battery life depends on how often the cameras record, how strong your Wi-Fi signal is and the settings you choose. A stable Wi-Fi connection and the Arlo app on your smartphone are required.

Care and storage
Wipe the cameras with a soft, slightly damp cloth and keep the lens clean for the clearest picture. Mount them securely and recharge the battery using the supplied cable and a suitable USB power source. Keep the cameras and charging cable out of reach of young children, and store spare units in a cool, dry place.
