The Arlo Video Doorbell 2K (2nd Generation) is a smart Wi-Fi doorbell and front door camera in one, giving you a sharp live view of visitors and parcels from your phone. It can run on its rechargeable battery or be hardwired to your existing doorbell wiring, so it suits most front doors.
About the product
The camera records up to 1944 x 1944 HDR video in a square 1:1 frame with a 180 degree diagonal view, so you can see a visitor from head to toe and a parcel on the ground in the same shot. A 12x digital zoom helps you pick out finer detail. You get motion alerts and live streaming on your smart device, plus full-duplex two-way audio so you can talk with whoever is at the door. If you can't answer, you can send a pre-recorded quick reply instead. Black and white night vision covers low-light and night-time visits, and an integrated siren can sound automatically or be triggered by hand from the Arlo Secure App. It works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Where to use it
Indoors: the doorbell is not an indoor camera, but its chime can be a traditional wired chime or an Arlo Chime V2 inside the home.
Outdoors: designed for outdoor use beside a front door, entry or business entrance, with a weather-resistant build rated for operation from -20°C to 45°C.
How to use it
Install the doorbell with the supplied flat or angled mounting plate. For a wire-free setup, charge the built-in battery with the USB cable and mount it. For continuous power, connect it to existing doorbell wiring using the wire extension kit. Then pair it through the Arlo Secure App and connect it to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Hardwiring requires a chime transformer supplying 8V AC to 24V AC.

Important notes
A high-speed internet connection with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi is required. A 30-day Arlo Secure trial is included. Arlo Secure adds cloud video recordings kept for 30 days, and a paid Arlo Secure subscription must be renewed to keep premium features such as cloud storage. Without a subscription you should still get motion notifications and a live view. No monitor or display is included. Battery life depends on use and settings.

Care and storage
Wipe the doorbell with a soft, damp cloth and avoid harsh solvents. Charge the battery only with the supplied USB cable and keep the charging port protected from moisture. Turn off power at the switchboard before working on any doorbell wiring, and use a licensed electrician if you are unsure. Keep the unit and its small parts out of reach of children.
