Description
Autosol Chrome & Metal Polish is a long-running, general purpose polishing paste for hard metals, supplied here as a handy 75ml tube that suits the garage, workshop, boat and home. It cleans and brightens chrome, stainless steel, brass, copper and similar metals, and it is a staple for anyone who wants dull, tarnished metalwork to shine again.
About the formula
A smooth, white-grey polishing paste that works as a simple wipe-on, rub-off polish. It lifts tarnish, oxidation, light corrosion and surface staining, and leaves a thin protective film behind to help the shine last. The product is made in Germany and has a long shelf life, so a single tube stays usable between jobs.
Where to use it
Indoors: kitchen and bathroom taps and fittings, brass and copper homewares, stainless steel and chrome accessories, lamps and metal furniture.
Outdoors: car and motorbike chrome, exhausts, trim and alloy parts, boat fittings and marine hardware, and other exposed metalwork.
Suitable materials include chrome, stainless steel, alloy, brass, copper and most other hard metals. Test a small hidden area first, and avoid brushed, mirror-finish, anodised, silver-plated or gold-plated surfaces.
How to use it
Start with a dry surface that is free of loose dirt. Put a small amount of polish on a soft cloth and work it over the metal in small circular motions until the paste turns dark with residue. Then buff with a clean, soft cloth to bring up a bright finish. A little goes a long way, so apply sparingly. Keep the cap on when not in use.
Important notes
This is a paste polish with fine polishing agents, so it is not intended for brushed finishes, anodised aluminium or decorative silver and gold plating. Always spot test first. Wipe off all residue after polishing. For long-lasting results on outdoor or marine metal, repeat the polish as the shine fades.

Safety
