Description
Bear General Purpose Cloth Tape in blue is a tough, easy-to-handle repair tape in a generous 25 metre roll, made for quick fixes around the home, garage and workshop. A strong, flexible cloth backing is paired with a high strength adhesive, so it suits temporary repairs and everyday jobs where you want something reliable that you can tear off by hand.
About the tape
The cloth backing is flexible enough to follow irregular and uneven surfaces, so it wraps and presses down neatly rather than lifting at the edges. It tears cleanly by hand, so you don't need scissors or a knife on the job. The adhesive is designed to grip a wide range of materials. The blue colour also makes it easy to spot when you are bundling, labelling or colour-coding.
Where to use it
Indoors: temporary repairs around the house, bundling and holding items together, reinforcing and patching, and general workshop or garage tasks.
Outdoors: temporary fixes and holding jobs where the tape is exposed to the weather. It is listed for both indoor and outdoor use.
Suited to a wide range of clean, dry surfaces. Test a small area first if you are working on delicate, painted or textured finishes.
How to use it
Wipe the surface so it is clean, dry and free of dust, oil and grease. Unwind the length you need and tear it by hand. Press it down firmly along its full length, working out any air pockets, and smooth it over curves and uneven areas so the cloth conforms to the shape.
Important notes
This is a general purpose tape intended for temporary repairs, not for permanent or load-bearing fixes. Adhesion is best on clean, dry surfaces. Dusty, damp or oily surfaces will weaken the grip. Pull the tape off carefully from delicate or freshly painted surfaces, as some residue or surface marking may occur.
