Description
Bear General Purpose Cloth Tape in white is a flexible, hand-tearable repair tape, supplied here as a single 50mm wide x 25m roll for everyday fixes around the home, garage and worksite. The cloth backing is paired with a high strength adhesive, so it is a handy go-to for quick, temporary repairs.
About the tape
A cloth-backed tape with a strong adhesive layer. The backing is flexible enough to follow uneven and irregular surfaces, and it tears by hand to length, so you can work without scissors or a knife. The 25m roll gives you plenty of tape for larger jobs or for keeping a spare on hand.
Where to use it
Indoors: temporary repairs, bundling and tidying, patching, sealing and reinforcing around the house, workshop or garage, and marking or labelling.
Outdoors: short-term fixes and holding items in place where a quick, flexible repair is needed. It is rated by the manufacturer for both indoor and outdoor use.
The adhesive is designed to grip a wide range of materials. As with any tape, it performs best on clean, dry surfaces, so test a small area first on delicate or textured finishes.
How to use it
Wipe the surface to remove dust, oil, grease and moisture, and let it dry fully. Unroll the length you need and tear it off by hand. Press the tape down firmly, working from one end to the other and smoothing out air bubbles so the adhesive makes full contact. On curved or irregular surfaces, press the tape into the contours as you go.
Important notes
This tape is intended for temporary repairs rather than permanent structural fixes. Adhesion will be reduced on dusty, wet, oily or very rough surfaces. On painted, wallpapered or delicate surfaces, test a small hidden area first, as the adhesive may lift paint or marks on removal. Store the roll in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
