Description
Bear Multipurpose Gaffer Tape is a strong black cloth tape for quick, heavy duty temporary fixes around the home, workshop or job site, supplied here as a single 50mm x 10m roll. It pairs a tough cloth backing with an aggressive adhesive, so it grips firmly and handles securing, sealing, binding and repair jobs without fuss.
About the tape
The backing is a heavy duty cloth that gives the tape its strength, yet it still tears cleanly by hand, so you can work without scissors or a knife. The adhesive is designed to grab hard and stick to almost anything, which makes this a handy all-rounder to keep in the toolbox, ute or kitchen drawer. The matte black finish blends in well when you need a neat, low-profile result.
Where to use it
Indoors: bundling and securing cables, holding down loose items, binding and tidying, quick patch-ups and temporary repairs around the house or workplace.
Outdoors: short-term securing, sealing and binding jobs. The tape is not rated as UV resistant or moisture resistant, so for anything exposed to long periods of sun or wet weather, treat it as a temporary measure.
Suitable for a wide range of clean, dry surfaces. For delicate, freshly painted or textured finishes, test a small hidden area first.
How to use it
Wipe the surface so it is clean, dry and free of dust, oil and grease. Unroll the length you need, tear it off by hand, and press it down firmly along its full length so the adhesive makes good contact. Smooth out any wrinkles or air pockets for the best grip.
Important notes
This is a multipurpose tape intended for temporary repairs, so it is not a permanent structural fix. It is not rated as UV resistant or moisture resistant. Adhesion will be weaker on dusty, damp or oily surfaces. Test on delicate or painted surfaces before committing to a full application.
