Description
The Blink Outdoor 2K+ is a battery-powered, wire-free security camera for DIY installation, supplied here as a single black add-on camera for an existing Blink system. It records sharper 2K video than earlier Blink outdoor models, keeps colour in dim light and is built to cope with Australian weather. A Blink Sync Module is required and is sold separately.
About the product
The camera records at up to 2K resolution (2560 x 1440), with 4x zoom for a closer look at parcels, visitors or vehicles in the driveway. In low light it can keep recording in colour when there is enough ambient light, then switches to infrared black and white when it gets darker. Built-in two-way audio with noise cancellation lets you talk to people at your door through the Blink app. It runs on two AA lithium batteries, with up to two years of battery life under typical use and efficiency settings. Actual battery life depends on your settings, usage and conditions. With an optional Blink Subscription Plan (sold separately), you can get smart alerts for people and vehicles, so you are notified about the motion that matters. It also works with compatible Alexa devices for live video streaming, arming and disarming, and Alexa Routines.
Where to use it
Indoors: it can be mounted inside to watch entries, hallways or garages.
Outdoors: the weather-resistant IP65 rating means it can handle rain and dust, so it suits front doors, driveways, side gates, backyards and verandahs.
How to use it
- Connect it to a Blink Sync Module (sold separately) and set it up through the Blink app.
- Fit the supplied batteries, then fix the camera in place with the included mounting kit.
- Choose your video quality and motion settings in the app to balance detail and battery life.
- In the box: one Blink Outdoor 2K+ camera, two AA 1.5V lithium Energizer batteries and one mounting kit.
Important notes
This is an add-on camera only. It does not include a Sync Module, so you need a compatible Blink Sync Module for it to work. Smart person and vehicle notifications need an optional Blink Subscription Plan, which is sold separately. Colour in low light depends on enough ambient light, and the camera falls back to infrared black and white when light is too low. The camera connects over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi through the Sync Module, so check your signal at the planned mounting spot before you fix it in place.

Care and storage
Wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, damp cloth when dirty, and avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Use only non-rechargeable AA lithium batteries as specified, and replace both at the same time. Dispose of used batteries through a battery recycling program. Keep batteries and small parts out of reach of children. Store unused cameras and spare batteries in a cool, dry place.
