Description
Bostik Blu Stik is the glue stick that solves the problem every teacher and parent knows: children cannot see where they have already glued. It goes on blue, so coverage is obvious, then dries completely clear so the finished work looks clean. The formula is solid, solvent free and non-toxic, which is why it has been a classroom standard in Australia for decades. It is acid free, so it will not yellow photographs or corrode the paper underneath over time, and the non-wrinkle characteristic keeps lightweight paper flat instead of buckling as it dries. The twist-up base lets you expose only as much glue as you need, and the cap seals tightly to stop the stick drying out between uses.

Outdoors
Not suitable. This is a water soluble stationery adhesive with no moisture or weather resistance, so anything heading outdoors needs a different product.
What it bonds
Porous materials, including paper, cardboard, photographs, tissue and crepe paper, and lightweight fabric. Surfaces need to be clean and dry.
How to use
- Check both surfaces are clean and dry.
- Remove the cap and turn the base until a small amount of glue protrudes. Expose only what you need.
- Apply an even layer to one surface. The blue colour shows exactly where you have covered.
- Press the two surfaces together firmly.
- Turn the base back to retract the glue and recap straight away.
Tip: a stick left uncapped and dried out can usually be revived by standing it in warm water for a few minutes rather than being thrown away.
Important notes
- For lightweight bonding only. Not suitable for heavy duty or structural repairs.
- Not suitable for non-porous surfaces such as metal, glass or most plastics.
- No water resistance. Keep finished work dry.
- Always recap after use.
- Store between 5°C and 30°C, away from direct sunlight.
- Contains corn starch. Free from wheat, gluten, flour, egg and nut ingredients, though repeated or prolonged contact may cause an allergic reaction in susceptible people.

Safety
Blu Stik is non-toxic and solvent free and is not classified as hazardous, which is why it is cleared for classroom use. It is still an adhesive rather than a toy. Keep it away from very young children, avoid eye contact and do not eat it. If glue enters an eye, rinse thoroughly with water immediately and seek medical advice if irritation continues. Residue on skin, clothing and surfaces washes off with warm soapy water. Always read the label and the current Safety Data Sheet before use.
