Craftright Clear Hot Melt Glue Sticks are a handy 12 pack of full-size EVA sticks for hot glue guns, made for everyday repairs, woodwork and craft projects. Each stick is 10.8mm thick and 100mm long. That suits a range of glue guns, and the pack gives you a ready supply for the workshop, the craft table or the classroom.
About the formula
These sticks are made from EVA hot melt adhesive and are clear in colour. Once melted in a glue gun and applied, the adhesive cools and sets to form a permanent bond. They are a simple, solvent-free-style fix for small jobs where you want a quick, tidy result. They are not a replacement for structural adhesives.
Where to use it
Indoors: minor household repairs, small woodworking and hobby projects, model making, decorations, school and craft activities.
Outdoors: not specified by the manufacturer, so test a small area before relying on the bond in exposed conditions.
Suitable for general use on timber and wood-based projects and for arts and crafts work. Always test an offcut first when bonding other materials, particularly plastics, foams and delicate finishes.
How to use it
Check that the stick diameter suits your glue gun before loading, as the 10.8mm size will not fit guns made for other stick sizes. Make sure surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust, oil and grease. Load a stick into the gun, let the gun heat fully, then apply the molten adhesive to one surface. Press the parts together promptly and hold them steady until the adhesive cools and sets. Work in small sections, because hot melt cools and sets quickly.
Important notes
These sticks are designed for use with a hot glue gun only. Do not use them as a stand-in for structural or load-bearing adhesives. Heat-sensitive materials can be damaged by molten adhesive. Safety
As general hot melt guidance, molten adhesive and the glue gun nozzle get very hot and can cause serious burns. Never touch melted adhesive, keep it away from skin and children, and use the gun on a stable, heat-safe surface.
