Description
Crescent Black Cable Ties 100mm x 2.5mm are compact, self-locking nylon ties for bundling and tidying cables, wiring and small items, supplied as a resealable pack of 100. The black colour is UV resistant, so they hold up better in sunny outdoor spots than standard natural ties, and the small size suits tight spaces around the home, office or workshop.
About the product
Each tie is a one-piece, self-locking design made from nylon 66 that carries UL approval. Crescent uses a heavier weight of material for added strength, and the black ties are UV resistant to prolong their useful life in outdoor applications. The nylon is resistant to most chemical acids, and the ties are RoHS compliant. They are not releasable and have no mounting screw hole, so they are designed as a single-use fixing that is cut off when no longer needed.
Where to use it
Indoors: tidying power, data and AV leads behind desks and entertainment units, grouping wiring in the workshop or garage, and bundling small hoses, cords and tools.
Outdoors: securing garden lighting cables, fixing lightweight items to fences, trellis and frames, and bundling leads where they are exposed to sunshine.
How to use it
- Wrap the tie around the cables or items you want to group.
- Feed the pointed tail through the head and pull it through until snug. The head locks automatically as you tighten.
- Trim the excess tail flush with side cutters, leaving no sharp edge.
- Seal the zip lock bag after use to keep the remaining ties clean and in good condition.
Important notes
These ties are not releasable, so use a new tie if you need to re-bundle. They suit small bundles only: the supplied data lists a bundle diameter of about 15 to 22 mm. Choose a longer or heavier tie for larger bundles or heavy loads. Do not overtighten on delicate cables, as this can squash the cable sheath. Trim tails neatly so they do not catch skin or other cables.

Care and storage
Store the ties in the resealable bag in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight until needed. Wear safety glasses when trimming tails, as cut ends can fly off. Keep out of reach of young children and pets, as the small ties and offcuts are a choking hazard.
