Description
Crescent Black Cable Ties 200mm x 4.6mm are self-locking nylon ties for bundling and tidying cables, hoses and wiring, supplied as a 100 pack in a resealable bag. They suit everyday jobs around the home, office, workshop and garden, and the black colour is made for outdoor exposure.
About the product
Each tie is a one-piece nylon 66 moulding that locks in place as you pull it through, with no separate parts to lose. The nylon is UL approved and is made thicker than a standard tie for extra strength. Carbon additives in the black resin give UV protection, which helps the ties last longer when left in sunlight. The material resists most chemicals and acids and is RoHS compliant. It is also UL classified as flame retardant across a rated temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees C. The resealable zip lock bag keeps unused ties tidy and protected between jobs.
Where to use it
Indoors: tidying power, data and AV cables behind desks and entertainment units, grouping wiring in the workshop, and bundling leads and hoses in cupboards or sheds.
Outdoors: securing garden lighting cables, irrigation lines, trailer and vehicle wiring, and lightweight items to fences or frames, thanks to the UV-resistant black nylon.
How to use it
- Wrap the tie around the cables or item you want to bundle.
- Feed the pointed tail through the locking head and pull it snug by hand.
- Keep pulling until the bundle is held firmly without crushing the cables.
- Trim the leftover tail flush with side cutters, cutting close to the head and leaving no sharp edge.
- This tie is not releasable, so cut it off to remove it and use a fresh one.
Important notes
These ties have no mounting screw hole and cannot be released once locked. Do not over-tighten on delicate or insulated cables, as too much pressure can damage them. Check the tie size against your bundle before you start. Choose a longer or heavier tie for large bundles or heavy loads. They are not intended for lifting, suspending loads or safety-critical applications.

Care and storage
Keep unused ties in their resealable bag, away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture, so they stay clean and ready to use. Wear safety glasses when trimming the tails, as offcuts can fly off. Dispose of offcuts promptly and keep them away from children and pets.
