Description
Crescent 370mm x 4.8mm Black Cable Ties are extra-long, self-locking nylon ties for bundling larger cable looms, hoses and other bulky items, supplied as a 100 pack. The black colour is UV resistant, so they suit outdoor runs as well as jobs around the home, office and workshop.
About the product
Each tie is a one-piece, self-locking design made from nylon (the manufacturer specifies nylon 66) and is UL approved. The material is heavier than a light-duty tie for added strength. Black ties are made UV resistant to prolong their life when left in sunlight, and the nylon resists most chemical acids. The ties are RoHS compliant. Once pulled tight they lock in place and are not releasable, so they are best for permanent fixing. There is no mounting screw hole. The pack comes in a resealable zip lock bag that helps keep the ties in good condition between jobs.
Where to use it
Indoors: tidying power, data and AV cables, bundling wiring looms, securing hoses and leads in the workshop or office.
Outdoors: strapping cables, irrigation or garden lines, and fixing items to fences, frames and trailers where UV exposure is a concern.
How to use it
- Wrap the tie around the items to be bundled and feed the tail through the locking head.
- Pull the tail until the bundle is snug, then trim the excess close to the head with side cutters for a tidy, safe finish.
- Leave a little slack on cables that need to move or flex, and avoid overtightening on soft cable sheathing.
- Fit the bundle diameter within the range shown in the specifications.
- Because the ties cannot be released, cut them off and use a new one if you need to re-bundle.
Important notes
These ties are single-use and not releasable. Do not use them for lifting, towing or any load-bearing safety application. Trim tails cleanly to avoid sharp edges. Check the suitability of the tie for your working conditions before using it in critical installations.

Care and storage
Reseal the zip lock bag after use and store the ties in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight until needed. Keep out of reach of young children. Wear safety glasses when trimming tails, as cut ends can fly off.
