Description
Cyclone Primeview is a next-generation stainless steel flyscreen for homeowners and installers who want a clearer outlook and a tougher screen than traditional aluminium or fibreglass mesh, supplied here as a 1220mm wide x 2m long roll. It suits re-screening windows and doors, and it is designed to keep insects out without getting in the way of the view.
About the product
Primeview is woven from ultra-fine, high-tensile SS304 stainless steel wire and finished with a super-fine black ESD coating. Cyclone's weaving process gives very even strands and a crisp, uniform coating, which helps deliver a sharper, more open view and good airflow. The manufacturer rates it Class 3 corrosion resistant and says it offers up to 35% clearer outward visibility than standard aluminium flyscreen, with higher achievable tension and a flawless finish from its patented weave.
- Ultra-fine stainless steel wire for a clear, unobstructed view
- Black ESD coating with even coverage
- Class 3 corrosion resistant
- Non-combustible stainless steel construction, suitable for use up to BAL-40 when fitted as part of a fully compliant screen assembly (AS 3959-2018)
Where to use it
Indoors: replacement mesh for window flyscreens and screen doors where a clear view and good airflow matter.
Outdoors: external window and door screens, including homes in bushfire-prone areas where a BAL-rated screen is needed.
How to use it
Measure the frame and cut the mesh slightly larger than the opening, keeping the weave straight. Fit and tension the mesh in the frame using your usual screening method, then trim off the excess. Primeview does not need pre-creasing before fitting. The roll is 1220mm wide and 2m long, so it covers a number of standard window screens or a full-size door screen.
Important notes
For a BAL-40 rated building, the whole screen assembly must be fully compliant, and the mesh must be fixed with metal fixings. Rubber spline should not be used to hold the screen in place for BAL-40 work. Check your local building requirements before installing in a bushfire-prone area. Stainless mesh is much finer and sharper than fibreglass, so handle the cut edges with care.

Care and storage
Keep the roll flat or standing upright in its packaging and avoid kinking or crushing it before installation. Wear gloves when cutting and handling the mesh, as cut wire ends can be sharp. Once installed, clean gently with a soft brush or a damp cloth and mild soapy water, and avoid abrasive pads that could damage the coating.
