D-Line Half Round Cable Management Cover 30 x 15mm x 2m White (Self-Adhesive)

Description

The D-Line 30 x 15mm half round cable cover is a neat, low-profile way to hide ethernet, TV, computer and aerial cables on walls and ceilings, supplied here as a single 2 metre white length. The self-adhesive, one-piece design means there is no need to channel into walls, and the cover can be painted to match your room.

About the product
This is a PVC mini trunking with a half round (D-shaped) profile that sits close to the surface. The hinged lid clicks shut over the cables, and you can open it again later to add or remove cables. The profile is certified to BS EN 50085-1:2005 according to the manufacturer's datasheet. A UV-stabilised PVC body helps it keep its look in daylight.

Where to use it
Indoors: along the top of skirting boards, where the half round shape blends in like part of the skirting, down walls to hide vertical cable drops, and across ceilings for aerial, broadband, TV and computer cabling.
Home or office: tidying wall-mounted TV and AV cabling, network leads and similar low-voltage runs.

How to use it

  • Measure the run and cut the length to size with a fine-tooth saw or similar.
  • Clean and dry the surface so the adhesive backing grips well.
  • Peel back the protective liner on the adhesive strip, press the base firmly along the wall or ceiling, then lay in your cables.
  • Close the hinged lid until it clicks into place.
  • If you want a stronger fix, the profile can also be drilled and screwed in place.
  • To paint, lightly scuff the surface with fine sandpaper first so the paint keys properly, then paint to match your decor.

Important notes
The adhesive backing works best on clean, dry, sound surfaces. Pull-off from delicate, textured or freshly painted surfaces can mark them, so test a small spot first. Matching accessories such as bends, tees, couplers and end caps are sold separately for a tidy finish at corners and ends. Check the cable count and cable sizes against the manufacturer's guidance, as the 30 x 15mm profile suits a limited number of cables. Mains wiring should be installed in line with local regulations and by a licensed electrician where required.
